I was born in nearby Herrin, and this was my first time back in the area after over 40 years. I was excited to be going through this area, so we took the opportunity to stay here a night on our trip back home. This hotel was super comfortable, and the staff was amazing! Super courteous and kind! If I get to come through here again in the near future (hopefully not another 40 years!), we will definitely stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Marion, IL. The hotel is conveniently located and is only minutes away from the lovely historic downtown and Civic Center. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassell-free. The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious, well-presented, and constantly monitored for cleanliness and needed refills. We loved having chocolate chip cookies available for a snack after our evening out in town. We will definitely stay here next time we visit the city.

We have stayed in this hotel many times as it is a central meeting place for family get togethers. Since the hotel does not have a conference/meeting room, we often get together in the breakfast area which gets loud with everyone talking. This time we were told it was too loud and not meant for a visiting area. This hotel is fine for overnight stays, but for get togethers, it's not the best. We will be moving to a different hotel that accommodates groups better.

The property was clean. They let us check in an hour early, which was fantastic for us and timing. Blake at the front desk was so very nice and helpful. There's a gas station and food option within walking. The pool was clean but the hot tub is permanently closed so that was a bummer. Breakfast was hot and your average hotel breakfast. They even had coupons for a free appetizer or kids meal (w/ entrée purchase) at TX Roadhouse (walking distance). Overall I would stay here again if we were in the area.

I've traveled a lot over the last few years and it's difficult to find a good hotel. This one was a pleasant surprise in every way. The service was phenomenal, the room clean and comfortable, and they actually had a good breakfast, too. I would definitely stay here again

Didn’t like the mold on the desk in room 214. Daughter took pictures. Didn’t care for what looked like blood stains on curtains. Staff wasn’t very accommodating when asked if we could have a little extra time in the morning to check out because we arrived late in the evening after a very long drive due to traffic and construction on the highway. We were in Marion for my Mothers funeral and I requested a little latitude and I even mentioned it to the front desk in the morning about my Mother's death, our late arrival, and very early start. NO EMPATHY, NO COMPASSION. I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point. We need to do better. I chose this hotel by the rating, the convenience of location to the funeral mass, and the price. Convenient to interstate, restaurants nearby. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. My husband did not love the direct tv service. Hotel seemeed dated and could use a refresh. All in all it provided a nice place to spend the night on our trip home.

The hotel was clean, the room was clean. The bathroom had been cleaned however, used shampoo bottles were up on top of the shower wall… Toilet paper supply was low… The main reason I booked this particular hotel was the hot tub, however, upon arrival I found the hot tub Was damaged and not in use. I think it would have been more acceptable had I been told about that before checking in. The man in the breakfast area did a nice job, keeping it clean, however, he was kind of grumpy! If it hadn’t been for that, I would’ve left him a nice tip

We stayed for 2 nights, check in was very easy and the lady was so nice. Breakfast was great and the man in charge of Breakfast and the dining area was amazing. The 1 bad thing was hottub was out of order and by 2nd night the water level of the pool was almost under the skimmers. There was allot of people in the pool that day. Over all good stay

The property is in a very convenient location. Right off the interstate and right by Cracker Barrel as well as other restaurants. The front desk clerk was very nice. I will definately stay here again on my return trip. The entire facility is non smoking, but a year ago there were certain smoking rooms. The first room i was assigned had a strong smoking odor. I informed the front desk lady, and she switched me to another room. No problem! She informed me of the previous smoking room. Thank you
