The desk clerk that checked us in on Friday was amazing and very helpful. We were assigned the wrong room, so he was very quick to help correct that and get us in a new room! The hotel is under construction, so the rooms near the construction are a mess. The breakfast was not good. I don't expect gourmet at a free hotel breakfast, but this was really not good. We went to Whataburger down the road. This final complaint may make me sound like a dud, but the entire 3rd floor must have been full of pot-smoking guests. Doesn't bother me, but my 6 year old and infant didn't need to be smelling that every time we walked out. The front desk clerk on Saturday afternoon was not bothered by it at all when we mentioned it. So...OKish hotel if you aren't with your small kids. Don't expect great food at breakfast. Limited parking due to construction equipment and storage containers everywhere.

It was amazing. It was a short notice booking. The front desk lady was super nice and friendly to my kids and myself. The room was clean and comfy as well.

Could have been great but beds weren't fixed at all. Small roaches were crawling on headboard. SO much noise coming from all over, specifically above us hours past midnight. Couldn't sleep. Pull out bed was practically sleeping on the bare springs.
Friendly staff at front desk for sure. Towels were replenished daily. Hot beverages at lobby and breakfast were good.

Check in and out was very easy. The beds was really comfortable. The only complaint we have is that our room floors were very sticky. You could see where someone or something had spilled all over the floor. Over all very good.

Great family hotel…comfy beds and pillows. Service was seriously fantastic! The hotel itself think, is under renovations and it desperately needs it. Otherwise great experience!

Brandi, the manager, went out of her way to bring me Advil, water, and a care package with soup, crackers, extra Advil, and EmergenC packets when I got sick and wasn’t able to leave my room. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her!

Front desk guy was very nice. We got to our room and the door was open. Front desk guy was helpful but couldn’t get it to lock or for the key to work. No other rooms available for our family. It was 11p so we were going to just rely on us locking it from the inside and not leave our belongings. BUT then we went to put our things in the bedroom area we saw black colored mold on the ceiling and the room air was humid, smelly, and everything just felt damp. We went back to the desk and the guy helping us was off for the night. Gal taking over was nice too but I left unsure if she understood the situation and would not charge us. It’s been two days and I am still waiting to be contacted…

I wasn't pleased with renovation going on but was still ok. Breakfast wasn't good. Not enough staff to make any eggs for residents staying. Very clean I will say in the room.

Arrived to find the third floor under renovations. A note on the counter (sounds like a joke but wasn't) stated that the water would be shut off from 11am-4pm daily. We checked out early due to visible and obvious black mold in our room. They were accomdating in that they provided a refund.

Booked room for my family to stay from 6/17-6/20 to avoid the floods and power outages in Houston TX that were projected. I book on hotels.com a king suite with full kitchen to save some money as I have kids and food is not cheap to eat out all the time. I paid thru the Wyndham link that they texted to me to supposedly save time at check in. There was to be a small fee held to ensure the card was valid or whatever. That was fine. I checked my account they charged the full rate plus the deposit. I say okay cool it’s fine at least I won’t be at the desk long to check in. I get there and see containers in the lot and am immediately dissatisfied. I go in and the front desk gentleman was very welcoming but was under the impression I knew what was going on. Prior to driving to the location I called to ensure the room was available as lots of people were booking rooms to avoid the weather. A lady confirmed all was well. I check in and upon getting to my room there was no full kitchen. I go back and he tells me it was not available due to renovations. NO one called me nor advised the day before in which I spoke with the same person and she did not advise the room type was not going to be available. I was promised 15k Wyndham Rewards points and I did not get them. I got 250 and two old nasty outdated rooms. One with a busted pipe and wet living room and peeling nasty tub and then swopped to one with silverfish in the bed and staples in the ceiling. I do not recommend this property

The front desk staff was great! There was a rather large stain on the pullout couch, but other than that the room was fine.

Breakfast doesn’t have anything. Old hotel.

The two ladies at the front desk were the sweetest.
We needed pillows for the pullout couch and those were brought quickly. Our ac wasn't very good and wouldn't keep the room cooler than about 75.
I do believe this was very over priced, but that's what College Station does on event weekends.

It is clean with really good service, but a bit worn. Luckily it will be getting a face lift soon!

The room was disgusting and appeared as though it hadn't been deep cleaned in awhile. There were stains all of the sofa and the carpet. The halls were stained and smelled very bad. The tiles in the bathroom were literally coming up and moved around as you walked. The shower pan was not set and moved as you walked. It is obvious that there is some sort of water leak that has been going on for awhile because maintenance has even gone as far as to just paint over the damage, instead of making repairs and replacing the sheetrock. There was mold between the shower pan and the tile, and the shower head was full of calcium/lime deposits from the hard water. We found several pubic hairs on the shower stall.
The sofa bed was broken and springs were sticking out, so it was impossible to sleep on. We reserved a suite for the purpose of having separation, but we all ended up having to sleep in the same bed in order to be comfortable.
We understand that the hotel is under construction, but cleanliness and preventative maintenance should be maintained at all times.
Website will not let me upload the photos that were taken to show proof of issues.

The two ladies at the front counter are absolutely professional and kind. This was the easiest check in ever for me

The room we stayed in was in desperate need of maintenance: the couch had a tear in it, a lamp had loose screws, the bathroom exhaust fan made a noise like it was about to fall out (the one from the room next door was much worse), the thermostats battery was low and the ac would not cool to the desired temp. In the morning tbe breakfast items had mostly ran out 30 min before the end and there was no sign of replacements coming. The pool had foggy/hazey water with dirt visible at the bottom.

The front desk clerk (Keon) was nothing short of amazing. He accommodated us in every way. He changed our room because of issues with the shower. He was always pleasant and very helpful. The room was average and as expected for the rating. But his disposition made the stay and trip enjoyable.

Very nice hotel, awesome staff, and comfy beds. Gentleman that worked the front desk was super nice and had great recommendations for dining in the area. We just had a light problem in the bathroom, but it was fixed immediately.

The suite with kitchen was very nice and roomy. Sofa needs to be replaced. Ripped fabric. Only negative in room. Staff excellent. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had better experiences, but this time we were given a room that needed some light renovations. Furniture was a little dingy and in need of replacement (including the toilet seat). Other than that our stay was good. Room was spacious and breakfast in the morning was tasty.

We visited College Station for the NSC at Texas A&M. We stayed at this place but it not a very clean hotel. The sofa in the room was riped off and full of nasty stains. Gross.
Breakfast options are very limited.
If you are in a budget it ok. Stull you can find better options out there.

I am extremely disappointed in our room. It smells like a men’s locker room. The furniture is old outdated, and stained with what looks like urine. They changed us to another room, however, it still smells like mold, and still looks uncleanly.

We were in town for the A&M class graduation, so the location was close enough to the ceremony. Our room was clean, but the toilet seat looked terrible. The Hawthorn would benefit from spending some money on updates.

The price point was fair. Facility is tired-needs paint/carpet refresh. Staff friendly. Functional for the price. Neighbors plumbing very noisy.

Except for the encounter with the receptionist at check-in, it was a very good experience. If she had just smiled, she could have made things so much better. Our room wasn’t ready and she was new and didn’t know what to do - and that’s fine. She made a phone call, we got a nicer room, and everything was fine, except she never smiled or welcomed us. The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. It was a very nice stay.
