Nice staff, friendly service. Hotel was quite old and the furniture in the room in particular was literally antique. Bed was not great and squeaked a lot when you move. Free parking was on the surrounding streets which there was plenty of

This hotel was absolutely acceptable for the price but is in need of a renovation. Rooms are acceptable and clean but not upto modern standards.

Good old hotel near places where we want to go. On Sunday, cleaning service knocking & open the door at 9.30 while check out was at 11.00. This is disturbing.

Rooms somewhat small but location and service was good.

Warm, helpful staff. Clean if a bit dated. Pool is permanently closed.

The hotel was ok, but very tired. No check-in after 8pm which is just ridiculous, we had to leave what we were doing, go check-in and then return which cost us 90mins in wasted time. Saying there is free parking isn’t really true as you have to park on the side of the road, they let you park on the car wash forecourt next door, but you have to move it by 8am. We didn’t have any food so Cannot comment on that. The mattresses & pillows were tired and very soft.

Really old fashion - haven't been renovated for ages. Very bad internet connection

The single room at this "3.5" hotel is really a joke: miserable bad, lousy bathroom. I've seen rooms in no-star hotels looking better than this. Adding the smell, the almost non-existent wi-fi and the so-called "indoor pool", this hotel is a bad value for the money. And btw, it is no way near the Aachen Cathedral, in fact it is not near to anything. If you have other options, don't book this hotel.

Convenient location between Autobahn and Aachen, easy parking, good breakfast, nice people, excellent value for money. ☺

The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride the centre of Aachen it is a nice hotel with a good restaurant and friendly staff. When I had a problem they were able to sort it out to my satisfaction. The buses into Aachen are every 15 minutes and if you are out after the last bus a taxi costs 10 Eurostar from the centre.

This is a very basic hotel, hence the low prices. The walls are thin and you hear everything. The room is small. The bed is not that comfortable. But its clean, and the breakfast is extensive (though no decaf coffee or hot chocolate). There is a sauna and a pool, but I did not use either. The hotel is not near the bus station or the train station or downtown. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and the buses run every half hour. I seemed to always miss them by 2 minutes! There isnt much around the hotel. But if you take the bus to downtown, then there is stuff to see and do and places to eat and shop.

Hotel was clean and tidy, although situated a distance from the centre, but only 10 mins on the bus, which are very good.

Got this hotel as a last min budget hotel for the F1 race in Spa. Very happy of the location. Negatives were lack of AC, and the fact that it is located at a main road and there are cars and buses at all hours of the night. There was also no Internet at the hotel wired or wireless or anywhere close by. They had a public laptop to use downstairs but that didn't meet my needs and Internet security hygiene habits. Had to take care of some work and look up travel plans and every time had to drive 15 city center, park at paid parking and walk to Starbucks all before 8:30p as it closes and there is no other free wifi in the vicinity. Next time would seriously look at buying an Internet prepaid mobile broadband card/flash/usb

True the hotel is a little dated in parts but it had everything I would look for in a hotel: clean, comfortable, inexpensive, and you can walk to the centre of the town in half an hour.

The hotel is slightly out of the town centre but there is a bus stop outside and regular buses go into the town.

The hotel was just OK, I only stayed so far from the city center because all other hotels were full. You can not walk to city center from here. The bed left me shaped like a banana, the TV was about 12. Although there is a bar in the hotel, you cant charge drinks to the room, cash only. AND there is NO INTERNET AVAILABLE IN THE ROOM. This is 2012 people. I will never stay here again, but I have to say all the people were nice.

The hotel is easy to find from the Autobahn. I arrived late and there was no parking for over 200m from then hotel. I then had a rtoom on the 4th floor where the lift did not go. No member of staff offered to help with the luggage. The room was clean but severely dated, there was no free WiFi in the room and the toiletries and mini bar were basic. Breakfast was continental and uninspiring. Overall a low quality experience but the savingn grace was that the room was very clean. It is OK for overnight but not at that price. 2* at best.

We had no problems on arrival and checkin. Friendly personal. The cleanliness of the room was o.k. but the bathroom was not cleaned properly, the toiletbrush needed replacement and the air-ventilation was poor. When we opened the window of our room (Nr. 7) we got all the kitchensmell in and had to close again. Not to recommend.

This hotel is basic and is a strange mix of styles inside, but to be fair it seems good value locally and it does those basics fine.
My room and en-suite were functional and comfortable enough and food I tried in its bistro was good ... which is important as there's next to nothing else in the immediate vicinity. I also found the staff helpful enough.
The sights of central Aachen are about a 20 minute brisk walk away - no trouble if you don't mind a bit of a trek that's mildly uphill on the way back. Otherwise it's a short trip in the car or on the bus from the very nearby bus-stop.
Minor downsides were no free, or even fixed-rate, internet in the room - just the choice of using one computer in their 'bistro' cafe for free, or signing up to an expensive pay-by-time hotspot.
Second, there's only a handful of parking spaces by the road immediately outside the hotel, with the other option being parking in bays further up the street. This wasn't a big issue for me, but if you had a lot of clobber to unload, for example during a family trip, possible lack of stopping place outside the hotel would be an irritant.
I also find it penny-pinching when access to a simple buffet-style 'continental' breakfast isn't included in the price and subject to an unreasonable extra charge.
But overall this hotel was fine. While I would still shop around to find something better if heading to Aachen again, I wouldn't actively avoid it.

rooms were very warm, and mine was quite noisy as it was on a busy street that was having roadwork done early in the morning.

This is labeled a "quality" hotel as opposed to a "luxury" hotel. I had expected a quality hotel to have a reasonable shower. The one in this hotel is hand held, something I an not used to using.

Hotel is located a few miles from Aachen centre. There is no hotel parking so cars are left on the street overnight. The rooms are like something out of the 1980's. Clearly no refurbishment has taken place for 20 plus years. The room safe had a coin slot for deutch marks as opposed to euro's so was completely useless. The fact that it required a coin to operate I find strange in any case. The so called swimming pool was small and grotty. Mini golf was strangely always closed when my children asked for it to be opened. The bathrooms were dated and grubby. The hotel food is overpriced. One portion of fries worked out to about 3 times the average and a fish and chips meal was similarly overpriced. Maybe the owners have confused Aachen with Monaco. They clearly know that there are no facilities near by and so inflate prices. The staff were generally stuck up and rude. However the icing on the cake occured on the day of check out. Before handing back the room key to settle our bill I decided to load my car with the family luggage. Whilst walking to my vehicle parked some 400 metres from the hotel I found myself being chased by a member of the hotel staff. The lady in question was shouting '' Your room number, your room number Sir! Sir come back! Come back!'' Clearly she assumed that I was trying to ''Do a runner'' as they say. I found this offensive and extremely embarrassing. So all in all please never stay at this hotel. Worst service I have ever encountered.
