Four of us stayed here for two nights to enjoy Christmas scene downtown Galveston and we were very happy we chose this property. There is no better location than this one. It's a few minutes easy walk to downtown main area (the strand) and there are shops and restaurants all over. Even though we were close to downtown, it is very quite inside the hotel and that gave us a good night sleep. The breakfast is continental so don't expect too much. We knew it was continental so we were totally fine with it. It gave us enough energy until lunch! We definitely would come back here should we visit Galveston again.

The staff was great, Dee was amazing, I feel like I made a friend. They also have a cruise shuttle that was very convenient. Local restaurants within a very short walking distance.

It was clean and close enough but I didn’t care for the man with earrings who worked there that night. Rave reviews of hospitality but I felt like I was bothering him to ask about the shuttle and crappy plumbing. The shuttle service is heavily advertised as a selling point of staying here so I wanted to know how that would work the next day he was like the terminal is just right there and pointed backwards. Ok. I checked in he asked for my debit card I told him I paid in full (my receipt didn’t mention a hold nor does the blurb on here but fine) but he was snarky like “yes we still need your card like any hotel” geez sue me I’m single, I’ve never cruised and I’ve been in traffic all day. I tried to just avoid him and prayed someone new was working when I departed. That person thank God was Ms. Dee sooo sweet and was asking me why I was trying to walk 7 BLOCKS when the shuttle could get me?! Geez I didn’t know smh. She immediately called Reggie (nice man) and in 10mins I was on my way. Traveling can be so awkward and it was my first cruise I was nervous and I felt the first guy just didn’t feel I was worth much thought. Dee and I are both black women so she understood I’m just trying to get where I need to go w as little hassle as possible. She’s a treat yall treat her well I would only stay again on her watch.

I was expecting a really exceptional place, but it was about as nice as any quality inn but twice the price, plus you have to pay for parking and there's no hot breakfast. I was really disappointed. I won't go there again and can't recommend it to anyone.

Room was clean & good size. En-suite well stocked. Breakfast was very disappointing. Individual serving pack of cereal. No hot options very limited choices & seating. Tables dirty & when they were cleaned they were wiped onto floor. Don’t book this hotel for the breakfast. Expensive for room only

The hotel was nice, I had been wanting to stay there for a while, so it was nice to finally be able to stay there. The only complaint I have is the customer service. Usually when we stay at a hotel we feel welcomed and are greeted, this was not the case here. Granted, not here to form long life friendships, but at least pretend you’re happy to see us lodge at your hotel. Location was great!

Harbor House is always amazing. My wife and I love to stay here the day before we cruise. We always walk the Strand and love watching the ship come in early in the morning. Highly tecommend

Staff was not nice or helpful at check in, rooms are very dark and bathroom was not clean. Was charged $15 for shuttle service to the cruise port that I didn't use and was told I would be refunded. I never got the money back and hotel won't respond to emails. This is an odd looking hotel with a creepy vibe. Don't stay here.

Dee let us checkin early. She put us close to elevator since my husband has a hard time walking a distance. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was on the water so you could watch all the boats go by. Eating places within walking distance

The hotel was in a great area - easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on The Strand. Nice room, great view. Breakfast was a nice added touch, but the room was very small and always full so we just grabbed some food to go. My only complaint was a double charge for the shuttle to the cruise port - I had to speck with them 4 times over the course of 2 weeks to finally get it reversed. Other than that, great stay.

We stayed here recently for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I’m very picky about cleanliness of hotels and Harbor House exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed the complimentary bikes during an early morning ride down to the strand. Lots of dining options, coffee shops and boutiques within walking distance! We will be back soon!

We had a great stay! Not much to comment on, but I’d like to encourage the management to consider black-out drapes or shades. The current shade lets a lot of light in, especially since we were on the harbor side with floodlights. Also, some different pillows would be good. We found the super firm ones hard to get comfortable with. But the bed was very comfortable and the room is generously sized.

Our room had the most amazing view! We could see the ocean and watch boats come thru from our bed! We also could see the dolphins swimming in the harbor from our room!
