Very welcoming staff, either at the front office and at the bar. Efficient service, all the facilities were working and well maintained. Spacious and clean room, big shower and great quality towels.

Very helpful front desk staff with storing luggage early and handling medicine requiring refrigeration and freezing of ice packs. Great location near the train station and walking distance to nice night life and tourist areas of the town of Tours.

Unfortunately, the wi-fi signal is terrible and do not reach to our room. The staff was kind and professional. Check-in was fast. The room is large enough and comfortable. The bathroom was refurbished and is nice. The neigborhood seems good and not noisy.

Front desk staff were very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and other activities.

This is a great place to stay when in Tours. The service was outstanding. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was full of good choices. Finally, the location was the best. It is less than a five minute walk from the train station and less than a 20 minute walk to the old town and the area with the best restaurants. I would absolutely stay there again when in Tours.

The area is good, was my first time in tours and i like it theres a lot of thing you can do, and most importantly you can just walk around there's stores, restaurants and a lot of other things to do

Nice to be so close to train station & town. Very helpful & knowledgeable staff. Wished for more user friendly coffeemaker in room. No instructions on use.
2.0
Perfect and central location to restaurants and next to tourist office. Also train station 2 minute walk. Hotel clean with access to spa facilities. Room spacious clean although some wear and tear visible. It did not have mini fridge which was a bit disappointing. View from the window was the back of the property facing some mechanical fans air conditioning units and terraces and rooftops. I was told all rooms are like that. However minimal time in a room so no big issue here.

This hotel was advertised as 4 stars but that wasn’t our experience here during our 2 night stay. The room was very large and quiet, however the amenities were lacking. The room only had paper cups, no glass for your nightstand or in the bathrooms, no wash cloths for the shower/bath. The soap dispenser was almost empty when we checked and never refilled by the time we checked out.
The rooms and overall facilities need to be renovated as everything is rather old and tired looking. Not my favorite hotel during our week long stay in France.
We did appreciate the location as it was close to everything in Tours with plenty of dining options and shopping!

We had a nice stay here.
Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was also good with lots of options.
The area of improvement would be to maintain the pool area few times a day.
When we were there, there was a group of kids with no supervision of parents. The pool area was absolute mayhem, with pizza boxes n food everywhere. Kids doing cannon balls in the pool. I complained to the reception and they helped resolve the situation. The next few days the pool was ok but I noticed that by the end of the day, it could use sprucing up as not all guests are tidy and put their used towels in the used towel bins.
Other than that, the location is excellent and our stay was very comfortable. Spacious, updated rooms.

Both service and food are so good. Location and traffic is also so visitor-friendly. The gentleman at reception can even speak some mandarin. It really makes me feel warm. Wish to visit again.

Sauna was closed without information all the time. I booked because of using a sauna for relaxation. Pool was open and very nice.

The hotel is comfort, clean and well located. I recommend it.

Excellent location in Tours (walkable to all the main sights) and a beautiful, historic hotel. Pool is a significant draw, esp in August heatwave. Staff were friendly, rooms are big and immaculate with comfy, big beds and lovely bed linen. We were disappointed not to be given interconnecting rooms (2 adults and 2 children so we had to split 1 parent and 1 kid in each room) despite arriving at 9.30am so plenty of time for this to be sorted (and they had given us interconnecting when we stayed 10 days previously). We put our bags in left-luggage and came back at 3pm (normal check-in time) only to be told the hotel was full so we couldn't have interconnecting. I wonder if this would have been different had they thought of it at 9.30am?! It's worth phoning in advance and securing an interconnecting room before you arrive, if this is important to you. Overall an excellent hotel and we will stay here again if the chance arises.

This hotel has quite a history , having hosted Charles de Galle, Winston Churchill, Hemingway and the list goes on. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location neat restaurants, bike rental and the train station. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful.

Excellent location near the Hotel de Ville, the main shopping boulevard, the Cathedral and a tram stop. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. 15 mins walk (or 2 tram stops) to the historic Place Plumereau and the river Loire. Beautiful, historic hotel with a small but perfect pool for cooling down after sightseeing. Breakfast and cleaning staff are brilliant. Room on 4th floor was very big, quiet, contemporary decor and very clean. Large, immaculate bathroom with useful electric radiator to dry off swimming things. Highly recommend this hotel and we will return.

The property is beautiful and in such a great location close to the main promenade, train station and tourism office (hub for excursions).
What made my stay even more superb was the front desk staff (Elza is wonderful and ever so helpful and friendly). Everyone went out of their way to help me (recommendations for restaurants, to find a suitcase, to call a taxi…the list goes on!)
Thank you for such a great stay in Tours!

Wonderful hotel — large, comfortable rooms, pleasant lobby, friendly staff, nice breakfast, good value. Lovely pool and hot tub, handy garage parking.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms are quite large and the hotel is in a great area of the city. It is also very close to the train station which made it easy to get to.
2.5
My room had modern decor, it was clean, well appointed and bright. I enjoyed the eclectic decor of the common areas, efficient and polite staff. There is also a pool in the hotel, but I did not get to use it. I will definitely stay here again when back in Tours.

Hotel located in historic building, very well preserved. Friendly and helpful staff, good room service. The rooms are spacious, but for my taste too baroque furnished. The hotel is conveniently located 2 minutes walk from the station and 5 from the city centre. Parking is less convenient, but if you have a medium to large car you can use the station car park.

Fantastic! Amazing location especially at Christmas time across from Hotel de Ville. right near train station. staff was so nice. hotel is beautiful

closed bar, mismatched decor, premium price for average experience

The hotel is like a grand dame. Nice lobby and our upgraded room is very large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 4 mini walk from the train station and 15 from the old historic town. Many great restaurants on Rue Colbert but plan ahead and make reservations! Happy customer.

Great hotel, lovely room

My second stay at this hotel. It’s very convenient to the train station and the main sights in Tours are within walking distance. There is a street of cafes around the corner and a tram stop. The room was large as was the bed with plenty of storage. Nice size bathroom and shower. Comfortable room. WiFi signal a bit weak but generally easy to connect to.

Very good location. A ten minute walk from the Tours train station. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely big room, and the building and lobby are beautiful. Very central, lots of dining options. Hotel bar closed, assume due to Covid situation.
Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room for water.
