The hotel may have been five stars back in the glory days. Today, it’s a four at best. Although the infrastructure is extensive, the food is not bad, and the attention is okay, it is far from five stars. The location, if you have business or leisure around the area (Manzana 40, Green Tower), is excellent, as it is within walking distance of both. The hotel is great if you are not looking for luxury but for comfy and reliable for a few business days.
We were upgraded to the best category room, but it looked more like a motel, and the smell of cigarettes in the corridors was foul.

Great location in Santa Cruz Bolivia, within walking distance of the Ventura Mall, the M40 building and Hipermaxi. Safe, comfortable and well maintained.

I gave it 4⭐️ but I would go 4 1/2 IF I COULD. Everything was really good With the exception of checking in, and the knew rule they have at the pool.
CHECK IN: At my check-in the girl was very dismiss some of the questions I had, and just made me feel like if I was a bother to her, Maybe because I had driven for about 19 hours and I look like crap. I came with a friend and his family as well and he also looks like crap.
POOL🏊 : my family and my friends family went to the pool While I went to go get food, when my wife calls me and tells me that my girls are shivering outside of the pool and the pool guy would not give them a towel to dry up. This got me pretty upset because you have eight children shivering in the cold and you will not give them a towel because you need a card that nobody gave us when we checked in. The young man pointed to a paper sign at the towel station and said “it says you need a card on this paper sign“. How am I supposed to know or read from the lobby at my check-in that there was a sign somewhere outside that said I need a card.
I think the card policy for the towels is absolutely absurd because of the caliber this hotel is supposed to be. I don’t think you get many Towel thieves, To cause you to enforce such a rule. 🤦🏻♂️
EVERYTHING ELSE WAS EXCELLENT 5⭐️: We stayed in the pool till dark and nobody Gave us a hard time. ⭐️⭐️DYAN⭐️⭐️ is a Jewel 💎. I would give that woman a raise. She always makes Our vacation special.

Good hotel and conveniently located. Staff was good except the guy at the pool. He charged us more than what we ordered and he made 2 drinks but barely had any alcohol. Be careful with the pool bar. Indoor pool was great and rooms are good.

My experience was truly a mix of emotions at times great, and at others not so much. The hotel is beautiful and newly renovated but the service personnel especially at the front desk, I recommend to steer clear of them as much as possible. The hotel is constantly being cleaned, painted, repaired, but everything is always dirty specially the pool area even though we were there for a week

Check in was more than one hour late

We arrived at 10:30pm and all the lights were off in the hotel. They had zero food nor beverages to offer. I booked a king size room and was given a double bed facing a gigantic screen from opposite building. No curtains either to block the glare.

Place includes parking in price, but we had to park on the street. Asked for cups and they said they had none avaible. Asked for 3 different food plates and all came cold as if food was done the day before.

Second time we've stayed here; great location, helpful staff, they came & picked us up at the airport, across the street from the Ventura mall, excellent restaurant.

Great quality hotel and the staff there are exceptional. Also the facility amenities are great from the little i had time to experience

I stayed many times at Camino Real and is always a pleasure to arrive there. The place is inviting by the pool. Only I think is no need to have music in the gardens, better to enjoy nature or smooth tipe of music to relax, and not loud. We spend time there to relax and enjoy nature if possible.

Has the air of faded grandeur. In some areas, a bit too faded.

Terrible staff at the reception. I didn’t receive any benefit of room upgrade and in fact they gave me a smaller room without a bath Tun. They wanted to charge for late check out even though it said guaranteed check out late

The property is not brand new, but it’s very well-kept. I have been going to Santa Cruz for four years this is by far the best hotel we stayed in. The staff members are amazing. Felix, Tania, and Litcy were exceptional.

Great location. Walking distance to ventura mall, but they did not clean the room up once after my 3 day stay.

Absolutely one of the best price/offering options. The location, the amenities, the spa and the caring staff make a huge difference. This was a very stressful trip and my last stop was in Hotel Camino Real in Sta. Cruz. A real blessing given how stressed I was towards the end of my business tour. The spa was like heaven to me in the short hours I had between flights and a right business schedule. The staff is particularly special and very caring. They accommodate to your needs to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Will certainly come back.

We were able to arrange easy and safe pick up from and to the airport. We checked in fairly late and everyone was very professional. I loved the variety on their breakfast buffett. Wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities. We will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel. We were there for two days and had a good time. We found two lizards in one of the rooms and the staff upgraded us to a suite.

As a solo traveler, I like staying in a location close to a supermarket and restaurants. Camino Real Hotel meets those criteria. For those who enjoy lounging or swimming, there’s a pool.
2.0
there is room for improvement on the bathroom amenities: the shampoo, conditioner, soap and the dryer were below satisfactory with great room for improvement
