The Gran Melia is everything you would hope for on a magical trip to Iguazu Falls! You are immediately greeted with a refreshing drink and stunning views of the Devil’s Throat Falls from the hotel lobby, from the iconic infinity pool, and from a Falls View room. If you are asked if you want an upgrade from a jungle view to a falls view, know that it’s worth every penny. Our meals at the Merkado restaurant were innovative and delicious for all 4 of us, and we tried different entrees every night of our 3 night stay. From Camila who was so helpful with our reservations, to friendly Alberto at check in, to attentive and reliable Sergio who drove us to and from the airport, to the helipad, Parque das Aves and Iguazu on the Brazil side, to Frederico, the gracious manager in the dining room, the service we received was outstanding! In particular, we want to profusely thank Emilio at the front desk for his indispensable help in resolving a very stressful issue with our outbound flights. We could not have relaxed on our final night at the Gran Melia without him! Thanks to all for a very memorable stay!

Good fall view!
4.5
Amazing view, atmosphere and pool. The hotel provides a particular and unique experience of the falls.
4.5
Amazing place with great view to rest

This property is not even close to be a 5 star resort. Service is really basic, food below avarage despite you are paying 4x the regular prices, rooms and facilities are poor maintained. Overall terrible experience for a price tag of $900 a night don't expect much. Would not recommend staying here, try the Brazilian site hotel instead Argentinians don't care for a good service and here prices are just exuberant. Definitely not getting what you pay for.

There is nothing not to like! A beautiful hotel with attention given to every detail. We stayed for one short night but nothing was too much trouble from a room upgrade to the fantastic falls view room through to extending check out when our flight was delayed. The access to Iguazu falls is a short walk from the hotel. Food and drink all great and service superb. Thank you.

The best view of any hotel anywhere in the world. And the hotel is wonderful too

One of the best hotels i have stayed in.
Service was outstanding! From the moment until we checked in to the day we left and had to wait until our evening flight. The helped to make arrangements to visit the Brazilian side of the falls and a taxi to take us to the airport. The wait staff met our every need and even before we asked.
The hotel rooms were beautiful and comfortable.
Loved our stay and a perfect place to rest and relax.

Incredible experience! The Red Level staff are extra special! Will definitely be coming back!

Since the very first moment everything has been fantastic. We were welcomed by the Alexis, the GM upon arrival. The service at the hotel is more than amazing. Staff is friendly and polite. The hotel smells amazing. And the spa offers wonderful services. We had phenomenal vacation with enjoying the most beautiful views. Thanks for your hospitality and service.

I loved the views, wild life and trails. They did a great job trying to meet our needs, Selva the woman who setup our tours and activities was amazing! She even went the distance and gave us recommendations for our next stop, in a completely different part of the country. Our driver was nice, conversational with us and helped us navigate some of the tourist attractions and where to get great food in town.

Some of the staff at the hotel didn't treat us very properly
4.5
Location is superb. Rooms very nice with outstanding view of the falls. We had a slight problem with the air conditioning in our room and management went out of their way to try to make up for the inconvenience. Well done Meliá!
4.5
The hotel has a unique view and landscape, the fauna is impressive and the waterfall is to due for
4.5
Mind blowing location with views of the waterfall from every part of the hotel. Also, the red level is worth it… food better than at the restaurant and service is exceptional.
4.5
Hotel staff were almost as amazing as the unforgettable view of Iguazú falls. I definitely recommend this hotel!
4.5
The Hotel is located in the National Park and has an extraordinary view of Iguazu Falls. There is also direct acess to the park. Pools were excellent. Good choice of restaurants. Staff was friendly/ professional. Rooms small and dated. View is 5 star rest is 3.5-4 Star. Dont come here looking for luxury
4.5
Beautiful hotel and excellent service. The breakfast was the best! Dinner was a disappointment in food quality and ridiculous to pay almost $8 for water or Coke when you can get it in the national Park for a few dollars.
4.5
Beautiful and relaxing!
4.5
Incredible views of the falls. Excellent staff attention
4.5
Amazing views and friendly staff.
4.5
Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived we were treated as very special guests. The lodge is beautiful. The staff was personable and professional. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal. Staying on property where we had early and unlimited access to the the Iguazu Falls was an added benefit. Would highly recommend.

The Gran Melia offered the most wonderful background for viewing the breathtaking waterfalls. The staff, particularly Rocio and Maxi, were very helpful during a glitch in our transportation to airport. Everything was perfect!
4.5
Great view. Amazing staff.

The location is unbeatable on the Argentinian side. The facility is old and shows its age. The rooms are small and not as luxurious as $1000 a night hotel room should be. If I ever go back, I will try the Belmond in Brazil.
4.5
Location couldn’t have been better. Our red level service was great and Luis explained everything. He arranged different transportation for us and we were able to take a private car over to the Brazil side and view Iguazu falls so easily with our driver guiding us through the border crossings and entrance into the park. The morning breakfast buffet and the pool was outstanding
4.5
Fantastic views, amazing staff, and great facilities
4.5
This is a truly amazing and unique hotel with unrivaled views and access to aguazu falls trails. We have visited both sides of the falls and while the Brazilian side offers a unique glimpse of the devils throat falls I would not contemplate staying on that side. Truly amazing views, staff, and location, and we could not have been more pleased. We will be back.
4.5
The property is great, park policies are not, I would like to be informed ahead of time about all the restrictions
4.5
We had a falls view and it was spectacular. The park trails start at the edge of the property. The monkeys on the balcony are adorable. The property is modern and lovely. Highly recommended.
4.5
It was well run. Staff was very helpful. I wished I could check out a little later than noon though.
4.5
For that price all the rooms should have a view of the falls.

All-around an amazing location and hotel campus - quite awe-inspiring. I own luxury lodges for rent too I’m amazing locations, so I know. Only drawback —their menu and execution leaves a lot to be desired. Design chef is not up to par and food has little taste. Guests are better off NOT signing up for full “board” (meals included) program and pay a la carte at their different food serving stations. For their main restaurant, once is more than enough - the decor, views and service are wonderful - but that is not enough of a culinary experience!
4.5
The staff make every effort to provide a superior experience. The access to Iguazu Falls and the spectacular views from our room made this an incredible experience. Well done!
4.5
The hotel is inside the park and is an easy couple of minutes walk from the trails, although you have to wait until the park is open to enter the park. It has views of part of the falls.
Room was basic and has a 3-star motel feel. The A/C doesn't work very well. We had to go to the lobby to cool down. There was nowhere to dry wet clothes as the balcony was not usable due to frequent monkey visits.
Food was fine, but not extraordinary.
Service was hit and miss. They only tend to speak with the man if you are a couple, as if the lady is invisible. I guess that's not intentional, but somehow an inbuilt habit - a very bad one and needs to be addressed!
The gym is spacious with plenty of equipments. The pool water temperature felt like a spa - too hot to stay in.
We stayed at Hotel Das Cataratas on the Brazil side. Comparing the value and everything else, Hotel Das Cataratas is a no-brainer winner, a true 5-star hotel.
4.5
We primarily booked this hotel with the expectation that being located inside the national park that we would have some benefits like having extra time to access the falls. However, the all the trails are strictly blocked by National Park officers well ahead of published closing times.
We had a 2 night stay at Iguazu, as were arriving late in the afternoon, we chose to stay the first night at Ameria Portal, and the next night at Gran Melia.
Breakfast is served late at GM, and when we were ready to visit the falls, we were had no advantage and were in a battle with the hundreds of school children and other visitors.
As a number of trails had been closed as a result of damage from the 2022 floods, we completed all the trails within a 3 plus hours along with the multitudes of people on a hot day!
Although, we distintly remembered visiting all the trails (pre-floods) plus the Brazilian side on the same day the hotel staff discouraged us from going to the Brazilian side saying we would not have the time. On speaking with other visitors at the park we learned that the Brazilian side was in a much better condition and easily accessible!
Having finished all the trails on the Argentinian side before 2, we decided to return to our rooms and revisit around 4 when hopefully the majority of the crowds had left.
However, the trails were locked with chains.
If we return I would stay on the Brazilian side first and one night at another Iguazu hotel.

Much improved comparing my last stay a few years ago.
