Amazing

Paid for an upgraded bay view, view was across parking lot, over a couple buildings and if you stood in just the right spot you could see far from being worth any extra money. Room floor was dirty. Trash and debris on property. Hot tob was broken, pool was dirty. But location to beach was decent.
4.3
Friendly staff, great location, nice rooms, great value.
4.3
The rooms are very dated and tired.
4.3
What a cute historic place. It is so convenient to the shops and restaurants and across the street from Hotel Del Coronado and the bay. Free breakfast included! Rooms are spacious had what we needed. The place is quite old and desperate for a refresh. The pool was great to have but could use some ambiance. The bar and outdoor space was nice but also could use ambiance. Great staff!!!
4.3
Close to beach and dining
4.3
Very kind. Accommodating staff. Perfect location!
4.3
Great location for walking to restaurants and the beach. Also, great Uber pickup location.
4.3
A little small for a hotel for the room size. The thermostat seemed confusing to control
4.3
Looks nothing like pictures. Rooms are dark dirty and very small. Beds are super uncomfortable with paper thin sheets. Staff however are super friendly and very helpful. We requested a room change because room was not big enough for 4 adults. They upgraded us to a suite which was much bigger. Hotel is old and in need of updates.
4.3
Fantastic staff!! Great place to stay!! Everything was perfect
4.3
Raj was amazing. He accommodated My Family and I to the fullest. Clean Location. Accesible to all the Shops, Restaurants and Beach. I would stay at this location again.
4.3
Our room was very small!
4.3
The Glorietta is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was clean and the staff friendly/helpful. Breakfast every morning! Great variety! Would definitely stay there again.
4.3
Grrat location - very walkable. Good breakfast. Quick and easy check in amd out. Near to the beach amd all the restaurants and stores you'd want to eat at and shop.
4.3
Raj is an awesome manager! He made sure that our stay is as comfortable as possible. He went beyond to make sure that me and my friends family have good time together. The five stars are for Raj! Thank you

Really nice staff, but the rooms are very very old and extremely dirty. There were cobwebs and lots of spiders in the room.
It has old carpet from the 60s or 70s.
The bathroom is so small you can barely turn around. The air filters look as if they haven’t been changed in years.
The balcony is only 2 inches deep so you cannot stand on it.
Way overpriced.

I liked that it’s a historical hotel. Room was roomy & clean but in a dark hallway. Pool could be a little private, it’s in front of property with clear view of parking lot & check in! Maybe some greenery around fence?

Womp womp good stay
4.3
Older property but well maintained and classic beautiful architecture. Really enjoyed our short stay at Coronado

Another great visit to our home away from home. Great location and the friendliest staff.

Great place and will return

Stayed here for family trip. Couldn’t go in the water, which we knew but prices didn’t reflect that. Our room was extremely dirty they tried to move our rooms but it would be for 1 night and would move again. They came and cleaned and comp’d a night but it still wasn’t clean clean. The hotel is very old and outdated. Not to mention construction next door and now at this hotel, also not mentioned at booking.
4.3
The hotel was probably built in the 1920s, but it was nicely updated. It was clean. The room was very large. I had a suite with a living room two bedrooms two bathrooms. I stayed for 2 nights. The complementary breakfast was very good and had a large variety to choose from. The pool was small but nice, and you were across the street from the beach. I would stay here again.

Old. Needs renovating

Friendly and helpful staff, easy check in. Location is the selling point hands down. Our King room was small and dated with a noticeable musty smell (we bought a candle which helped a lot) and VERY noisy. Not only did our room share a small common landing with 2 other rooms (so every coming and going could be heard and at times whole conversations) but also our room and balcony backed right up to Orange Ave. In my opinion, rooms bordering the town’s main drag should be discounted. This morning I nearly flew out of bed at 3 am with sounds of blaring sirens :( and most nights the regular traffic was bothersome. While the convenient location was AWESOME, I’d have to think twice about staying here even at this fairly competitive price point.
4.3
Glorietta Bay Is conveniently located to the beach, The Del, and downtown. It is reasonably priced for the area, which makes it a good choice for these aspects. However, The rooms are old and outdated, the property gives the appearance of being rundown, and there is a high-level of noise from rooms above you. The $40 a day Resort charge in $30 a night parking fee is unreasonable. There is very little parking and it is not a resort. It has a small pool and that’s about it.

The historical beauty and location make this a very nice destination. Nice breakfast, nice loaner beach items. However, it requires an investment of funding and staff to maintain something of this caliber.
The sophistication that would be reflective of the mansion and its history is missing. We were given a goodie bag that was less than what would be given at an elementary school or childs birthday party.
I would encourage more thought into creating a more memorable experience for guests again more in line with the heritage of the mansion. I am in no way suggesting anything snobby or toity, just more thought and adding uniqueness. I run an interior design showroom, it is as much for our clientele as it is for our team members. The style of what we do for our clients and visitors is also enjoyed by our team. The snacks or hospitality items we use are sometimes curated on-line, Trader Joes or local vendors. We select items that are subtle gourmet or handmade items that would not be what you would typically see at a grocery ck-out. Consider upgrading saleable snacks and saleable gift/items, add soft ambient music to lobby/dining area. , It is evident that even in it's current condition and guest welcome bags the property is constantly booked and includes new and many returning guests. I am providing only a constructive critique. In my profession attention to detail, meeting or exceeding client expectations is key. Integrating delightful surprises is nice too :-)
4.3
The suite is outdated, they have AC in each room that makes so much noise. I couldn’t sleep all 3 nights. It’s not worth the 600$ per night that I paid for two room suite.
4.3
The check in experience was great and the staff friendly. The room was mostly clean and the location was good. It was very convenient to shops and restaurants in town. The resort fee kind of off-set the free breakfast. I feel the parking should be included in the price of the room.
The construction next door forced the closure of the sidewalk. There was constant air traffic to the military base. The ocean water was closed due to sewage in the water currents up from Mexico.
4.3
This is the cutest hotel on Coronado. It is being overun with the development surrounding it as Coronado develops from the cute beach town to the mega hotel conglomerate it is becoming.
4.3
Our first time at Glorietta Bay and it was a very pleasing stay. The staff was professional, courteous and resolved an issue with ease and will return
4.3
Still quiet dispite the construction going on around the property. Desk staff werr very nice. The roomwas average.
4.3
Upon arrival and throughout our stay, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The ease of communication before arrival via text was excellent. The breakfast was incredible- as was the ambiance of the historic building. The landscaping was beautiful and immaculate. The room was perfect for the two of us. The location of the hotel was ideal! Close to the beach and right next to the shops and restaurants at Del. We didn’t rent a car- we walked our way around the island with plenty of restaurants to pick from. We also walked just under two miles to the ferry to get to Petco Stadium to watch a padres game. Very convenient.
4.3
Great little spot for my teenagers and I to get away! Walking distance to the beach, Better Buzz coffee and the main shopping and dining spots. Easy drive to others.
Great breakfast (included) and was so nice having towels, beach chairs, umbrellas available for beach time!
Front desk staff was helpful and kind, hotel is undergoing renovations, but did not hinder our stay. Grounds are very pretty and was nice not to stay at a large chain. Room was ok in location, but was clean and comfortable.
4.3
The property had well manicured grounds and a quaint piece of history. Enjoyed our stay.
4.3
Close to the beach

Raj and Claudia were great, as were all the staff ! Great stay
4.3
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very nice breakfast included. Very accommodating. Provided beach chairs for free.
4.3
The staff was amazing. Claudia was hospitable. Romy was very helpful. The place was clean and complementary breakfast was filling.
I gave the place 4 out of 5 stars because I like hotels who have a restaurant and a bar. There is no restaurant on premises but they do have wine available for purchase. There are many restaurants within walking distance.
