To be clear I am not the biggest fan of all inclusives. They often provide food, drinks

The staff were very friendly, the food was good and the pools were amazing. We loved that the beach was right there and our room had the best view. The air conditioner didn’t work the best in our room, but other than that it was an amazing time! We would come here again!

I liked the scenery and the sounds of the ocean at night.
The wife and I was uncomfortable with the plumbing issues.

This resort was terrible, it should not be listed as a resort. We had no running water in our bathroom sink, no hot water in the shower. Our bedding was dirty, ONE towel for 2 people!. Restaurants were hardly open to eat and its advertised and we paid for all inclusive. If you dont speak fluent spanush this is not the place, staff speak and understand very little english. Extremely loud music played from their theatre at night.Pools and bars closed at 6pm!
Did have a nice beach.

People was very kind all the time

Definitely outdated, you're only able to eat at the buffets not the specialty restaurants. There's only like 20 spots for the amount of people they have staying there is ridiculous. And on top of that you can only reserve at 8:00a.m. by 8:05 all spots are gone. They don't have a lot of activities, far away from everything in Puerto Vallarta. LOTS OF LOCALS

Upon arrival there was changes made to the resort which they neglected to inform us of such as reservations for special restaurants had to be booked daily at 9am according to the handout. It took several days for me to find out it was changed to 8 AM. Thus The restaurant bookings were always full and I was unable to get a successful reservation. The room was not the room I paid for and the attitude at the front desk was oh well we have given away all the rooms this is all that’s left I had paid months in advance for a trip with my granddaughter that was supposed to be very memorable and it ended up being lots of hassles because they did not want to give me what I paid for I moved to three different rooms in the span of the first three days I was there . so I paid more for room for oceanfront view with Two double beds and I didn’t get that the air conditioning in the oceanfront view was malfunctioning which made an unpleasant which meant I had to move to a different location where the air condition was better at a loss of funds for me which they would not and made me sign a document saying that they would not reimburse me for the

The pools shut down at 6. Got food poisoning from the food. The food was subpar. I reuested 2 double beds, got a single and a cot. Definitely do not recommend this place

Was too crowded and eating places had hours so you couldn’t eat just anytime you wanted to

Property is over 35 years old and you can tell. The staff is friendly enough but majority don’t speak English so that’s an issue if you’re not fluent in Spanish. On this resort you will notice most guests speak Spanish too. The views on the resort are beautiful because you are right on the water. The resort is authentic with Mexican colours and decor. There are horses on the beach that local ranchers bring so if you enjoy that it’s pretty cheap $35 American. The food on the resort ranges from the healthy salads and fruits which were ripe and sweet to grilled fish bbq chicken rice etc and many desserts. If you have dietary restrictions it’s quite difficult to figure out what you need to avoid as there’s nobody there to help with ingredients in food so just use your own judgement. Now to the rooms, they are very outdated if you are used to staying at new modern resorts this is not for you, the bed is old so makes your back quite sore , the bathroom may not have hot water when you want to shower so most of our showers were cold which wasn’t too bad since the it was over 30 degrees outside. If you are a light sleeper good luck to you because the balcony light stays on all night and the door to the hallway has a bright light which peers through the doors perimeter. People on the resort on very loud so you can hear them talking as they walk past your room and the shows in the evening start at 930 so they are super loud. The A/c in the room works well.

Honestly I really hate to write bad reviews but after a few days of checking out I can’t help but say how terrible this place is … I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy… the food is absolutely disgusting there are flies everywhere and no one seems to care you have birds flying into places where buffet tables are eating the food and the so called 5 on site all inclusive restaurants as is advertised don’t tell you know that only one is open per day and did I forget to mention you need to make a reservation for these restaurants at 8:00 and by 8:15 all reservations are full… this is one of the worst places me and my wife have stayed that we have booked with Expedia it really makes me question if Expedia really cares about putting their name to allow people to book at this place… oh and did I mention I got food poisoning and to make matters worse I was sick in bed 4 days of my 6 day vacation… when I let management or attempted to let management know that I got sick from eating there they did not acknowledge it and said they would have someone reach out at it never happened… please don’t waste your money at this place.

Old!! Needs updated and some of the updates look like they were done by a ten year old. Mediocre food. Not much variety. Birds on the buffets eating food. Small room. Not enough drawers for clothes. Staff very friendly and funny. Resort was clean. Doesn’t look like the pictures.

There's a swimming pool quite large that is for adults only and it is quiet. No music, no animation with speakers and microphones, etc.

The room was nothing like it looked on the website. The toilet and sink clogged up often. I feel like I overpaid. Motel 6 has better looking rooms than this dump.

The block (3) I was staying at had a lot of loud noises ranging from 4 am-7 am (banging and walkee talkee). There’s no wifi in the rooms so if you needed to do some work, you had to go to the main area - so booking a restaurant, you had to wake up early to book at 8 am everyday. Everyone is very friendly and we had a fabulous time other than the few of issues.

The service was very good, especially the entertainment staff (Israel, Mariana and Diego). Food was very good. We all enjoyed our stay and made great memories. The only thing that I would say is the complex needs updating.

If you like warm pools the adult pool is for you, better then expected food and wide selection of drinks

Nice property but not very well kept. Food options and the food itself left a lot to desire.

My husband and I just returned from a week stay at the resort. Prior to my trip I read hundreds of reviews and I was not sure what we were going to get. However, I am happy to say that this resort is a good value. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. If you are a foodie and you want five star dining, DO NOT stay here as you will be very disappointed. The food is average and there are many choices. We never went hungry but the buffet(s) do get tiresome towards the end of the week. I have been to several all inclusive resorts over the years and I found the DeCameron to be equal to the others. The resort location is amazing! We had an ocean view room and the view was amazing. While the facility is older, the staff does an amazing job keeping things clean. The staff is friendly. The adults only pool was heavenly and the beach was lovely. I also noticed that they are busy making updates and/or renovations throughout the property. This resort is a great value for the $$.

I yook two days to get someone to come to my room to unlock the safe box.

this location is incredible - we had ocean view and you can't beat that view. Access to so many activities - kite boarding (the Kite Zone was incredible - pricey but outstanding), surfing nearby, tennis on site (courts really need some attention), Bucerias is a great town, wild dolphin swim was a highlight (Wildlife Connections), fishing. The hotel is old, rooms are old, location makes up for it. Too bad no cappuccinos until the afternoon at the bar (makes no sense).

Our stay at Royal Decameron Bucerias was not bad amd Ibwould likely return, but knew from other reviews that I was not going to a 5 star resort. The staff are amazing, the drinks are flowing, and the area is a good walkable area to local shopping and restaurants. The beach is amazing, although I personally found the water to be too rough to swim in. The adult pool on the back was amazing, quiet, and right by the buffet and bar. You can walk to the beach and get a cheap 1 hour massage for $35, and you can also walk to the downtown Bucerias shopping area on the beach or street in about 20-25 minutes. Overall, we had a good time, but I was uncomfortable during our stay because the air conditioner did not cool and our room was hot at night (like 75). We also had a room with no mirror in the bathroom and it made it hard to get ready. I also did not like having to eat every meal outside. All of the buffets and restaurants, except for maybe the steak housr and mexican restaurant were outside and I have a medical condition where heat affects me, such as nausea, so eating outside was difficult. The buffets were HORRIBLE, but the restaurants that you had to make reservations for were much better. Overall, I would say you get what you pay for, so its a great option for those of us on a budget, but don't expect a five star resort.

Resort is very authentic, and somewhat rustic Mexican. It was clean, the food was fine, drinks were pretty good, and everyone was very friendly.

We loved that there were no sales people pressuring around time share purchases and day trips. The staff were all so friendly and we loved the relaxed vibe of the resort. We do wish the pools were open a little later and that there were coffee makers in the room but this was totally manageable. We were able to get coffee early at the buffet restaurants.

The staff was amazing. They offer variety of activities if you don't want to spend everyday in the resort. The food is ok.

I liked how we where left alone. If we asked for help staff was at the ready.
The property advised 5 restaurants only 2 where open.
Both had the same menu. We had to leav the property to find lobster and shrimp.
We planned this trip to hopefully get are fill on sea food.
Both restaurants served tacos, mexican rise, beans, and other Mexican traditional food.
Im Mexican and have no problem with the food. However it wasn't what is was expecting

We had an amazing stay for 12 nights.Food options were great. The staff are nice and efficient. The only minor thing would be need for new towels as they were old and felt like sand paper.Otherwise keep up the good work.

Great staff, very nice location. Free to borrow the bikes and paddle boards, very accommodating. The shower water doesn’t get very hot or cold, and AC is alright, but other than that it was perfect
