Room 30 - disturbed late at night and early morning with smokers talking loudly directly outside our window

Good central location- free parking - tidy clean room. Good 3star hotel. Good breakfast and pleasant staff

Good hotel but the Wi-Fi connection was really bad. As I was on a business trip and needed to work during my stay, I had a really hard time with it. The staff was amazing! 5 stars to Kerri.

The property has so much potential, being an old listed building, and the staff I met were lovely... but from the moment you're in the reception, there's a horrid stench throughout that insults your senses, and the rooms aren't much better. The bathroom looked like it got stuck in the 70s and there was damage on the walls throughout the rooms. Overall a very dissatisfying experience, and would not return to this hotel

There was a nearby drain issue not the hotels fault but the bar area didnt smell great to sit in. Someone was workibf on this. The linen was clean and bedrooms well kept.

Love Perth have not been to the Mercure Perth for for some time. As per other reviews, hotel need spruced up, noise factor really bad could nearly hear next door neighbours conversation. Radiator did not work so room cold, had to sleep with coat on my bed to keep me warm. Staff seemed very nice on check in cannot fault that. Will i stay again answer is no.

I can’t say enough about the kindness and friendliness of the staff, they were so helpful. The hotel is located in a great area of Perth, only a few minutes to the centre of the city. The morning breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. The hotel itself is in drastic need of an upgrade. Everything about the physical building and furnishings are dated and in real need of some attention and upgrades ie. room carpets.

Very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. Our room was not worth the money spent, ended up with the disabled bathroom where the shower flowed out of the bathroom into the room itself. The humidity from the bathroom made room unbearable at only 71 degrees outside. Some a/c or fan would have been helpful. No ironing board or iron, had to request it, which we got because the staff was awesome. Owners need to get their staff a better facility to work in.

Loved the old fashioned beams and stone walls with the glass floors showing the water running under the hotel.
Couldn’t fault anything and the staff were so friendly especially the girl at check in

Great staff, good restaurant let down by poor sound insulation - the seagulls were deafening from around 3am

Staff were great, really polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was looking a little tired and worn down. Would say in general the place could with a refurb and bit of investment to spruce up the place.

A lovely old hotel, very handy for the city centre, plenty of easy parking (I had a 6 mtr box van) TBH, the property is somewhat tired, but fabulous really helpful staff made my stay really good.

A bit dated. Shower had no pressure, just a weak trickle to wash with.
3.0
Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The actual internal surroundings are tired and need of upgrading. The breakfast was overcooked and left under the heat lights too long before refilling.
3.0
Staff were great. Location is good. Hotel a bit tired.
4.0
Staff professional friendly and caring but the hotel owners need to repay their professionalism by upgrading the hotel especially the public areas; the seating is broken and torn, the bar area very dark with limited seating and throughout the hotel there are threadbare carpets. First impressions count and long lasting. Owners .... you are dishonouring your staff.

Tired hotel. In desperate need of a refurb. Can't fault the friendly and help staff though. They deserve a better hotel

Was good but quite cold in the room

The property was just OK. No lift so it was difficult for my friend to get up the steps to the second floor, the Parking was just passable, the beer was a bit on the expensive side and there was no shower mat for the strip in bath tin and it was slippery.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel. We would definitely come back

Staff lovely. Room very tired, floorboards incredibly noisy,as was the room above- sounded like a herd of elephants upstairs! Bathroom especially in need of refurb, barh and sunk cracked, tiles like something from the 80s. Needs money spending on it.

Very run down.
Walls dirty, furniture damaged. Cracked tiles and mirror in bathroom.
Carpets worn through
Breakfast was under hot lamps and clearly had been out a while - all rubbery
Staff all very nice and helpful

Nice central location but hotel getting tired and badly needing refurbished.

It would have been nice to be informed on check in that the restaurant/ bistro was not taking bookings due to large coach party. When I tried to order a bar meal the menu was passed over and the barman said with a smile “ We are not taking any orders”. Why give me a Menu????
1.5
Friendly and nice, but the room, toilet and corridors are old!
2.0
An interesting conversion of an old mill so the building had character but lacked some modern amenities such as aircon and a lift. Nevertheless, our room was spacious and comfortable with 6’ bed and a bath. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Limited parking in front of the hotel but a large overspill car park about 60 yards away. The location was ideal - right in the town centre.

We arrived at about 4 pm reception staff very friendly and all three rooms were ready for us. The hotel was clean & tidy and bar staff also very welcoming. The breakfast was well laid out and plenty of choice too. The stay was very enjoyable & will certainly stay at the Mercure again in the future.
