The AC in our room leaked so much it created a hazard and I slipped while holding my infant. When i informed the staff, I was lectured about not having the AC on if we were coming in and out of the room because the door opening caused leaking. They wouldn’t give me a new room with no leaking, just a towel for the floor, and had us there for an hour while they repaired the leak. The room smelled like mildew/moisture for the entire stay.

The hotel was fine, but they don’t have mini fridges in the rooms or any amenities. They need to also do a better job cleaning the rooms, it was pretty dirty.

Location
5.0 / 5.0
Great people, great location, many options for dining, the hotel is outdated but they are trying their best to keep it well maintained, the only downside I found is by the beach, there was red flags, and I believe this goes all year round due to the seashore being uneven

When we arrived i ask the lady at the front desk that i book a room with a Oceanview, she ask me if i book it on line, i said yes, she told me that internet reservation are subject to disponability, and it was nothing available, i show the pictures of my booking unsuccessful, i got stock in that room, real bad smell, plus the cable was out the all time,
I request no smoking room and the blankets had some cigarettes burned holes, the next day we went out and came back around 5pm to find out that our room was not service, we call to get some clean towels at least, they told me that the priority are the empty rooms ,???
I WILL NEVER GOBACK TO THIS PLACE!!!

We stayed at Morel Marbella for 1 night on route to the airport. Our room was in the older section was clean but mold and rust in the bathrooms. For the price we paid not complaining. We loved the pool and restaurant food was fgood for breakfast and dinner and it was si nice to be on the beach for the sunset. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is right on the beach, and has a great restaurant. The hotel staff and the restaurant are worth staying here.

Positive : Clean, cleaning ladies super nice, nice sea view, hearing the waves from our room, nice pool but busy (December), walkable to restaurants.
Negative : No fridge in the rooms, shared balcony motel style, doors are not insulated and you can hear everything from the outside, restaurant so so and expensive, sand flies, the beach is too dangerous to swim and full of oil.

This an hotel that need to be refreshing
Moisture in the room too much humidity
Air conditioner doesn’t work bed need new
Lining that’s was not a good stay and about the restaurant it’s expensive they bring everything in a hot sauce so your steak continue to cook
In your dish I recommend you to go on the boulevard and have your breakfast at chantilly and your lunch at el bigotes

This is not the first time I stay at Marbella Hotel. I noticed the last trip that the room needed attention in cleanliness, now it is a little bit worst. The rooms need painting (dirty walls), and the curtains needed to be replaced for clean ones, basically all the things in the room needed some refreshing. The lamps are rusty, overall the service is good, but the rest needs attention. Marbella has potential, hopefully they improve in those areas I mentioned.

They have bed bugs in my hotel bed, bed bugs bite me, I have bed bugs bite marks all over my body, and is very itchy, I had to go to the nearest farmacy to buy bedbugs cream and medicine because the itching in my body is very bad, I have alot of bedbugs bites all over my body. Very bad experience, I do not recommend this hotel to people, because of the bed bugs and I told the receptionist to switch me to another room and the other room had bed bugs too. I took a few pictures of my bedbugs bites, If you need proof.

This location is right on the beach, very beautiful! The property itself is VERY outdated and has clearly not been remodeled since it was built. The key to the door is literally a key, painted over walls and doors, just very outdated. The rooms do have AC but it’s an on or off function no option to modify the temp. The rooms are outdated that you can hear everything, loud music from the ground level, people in the halls, etc. I personally felt the images for the hotel and the rooms did not accurately depict the rooms condition.
Overall the staff was very nice, clean property, great location, and enjoyed our stay.

It was my 5th or 6th time in this hotel, it is my favorite place in Manzanillo. It feels safe, it has a good parking lot, it has private security, good A/C, the place is clean and well maintained. Also it is very close to a supermarket and several other restaurants.

Staff were great but the rooms need an upgrade

The outside of the hotel is really nice, pool area, lobby, and the restaurant is really good for dinner! The rooms are quite basic, in an ideal world they could use a fridge and some new linens, the towels were threadbare and grey, the toiletries were soap and shampoo and there were no wash cloths. Also you can only get ice from the restaurant and you have to pay for it! The balcony is nice ($100 pesos a night extra) but the table was very stained! We enjoyed our stay but with a few little details it would have been great!

My second stay at Hotel Marbella, it is clean, secure and affordable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is central and many walking distance restaurants and shopping are nearby. Onsite restaurant has excellent food although a bit pricey. Would recommend for singles, couples, families.

The room was very basic to the point that there was no coffeemaker, no cups, no table to sit around, no comfortable chair. Air conditioning was not adjustable, just on or off, too cold when it was on, too stuffy when it was off. The pool was cold and small. With children playing ball in it, you don't really want to be there. Area around the pool didn't have lounge chairs with umbrellas, just a couple plastic chairs in the sun.m The shady area had loud families playing loud music on their audio systems. No way to relax and listen to the surf. The only good things in this hotel are nice cleaning ladies and good restaurant el Marinero. The reception staff was also nice. And good location.

Wheelchair access was good. Location was near to shopping and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel was fine. Pools were good. It's on the beach, but swimming is out of the question due to the high surf at all times. We went to other local, more protected beaches for snorkeling and swimming.

The persons at checking did not abided by the term on the reservation. We reserve a room with a king bed. They said that it was not available. I asked if it was going to be one available maybe in a couples of days. Again they said no. We ask for the second level with ocean view. Again they said that is going to cost more and with two beds again. Beds are small and i almost fall off the bed. They also said that because i when to second party for the reservation they could not help me. They said i should call them directly to made the reservation.
