We were highly satisfied...very clean

Dirty rooms, hammock reeked of cat urine. There were stains on the wall & on the floors, hot tub was “broken” the entire time we were there. Do your research because for $100/night there is a lot of other options.

We are experienced users of all-inclusive resorts, staying at many different levels of luxury. We try not to over expect hotels amenities. The overall level of this hotel was slightly above average. Good>Rooms were nice and clean. Very accommodating for scuba divers who need to dry wet equipment. Bathrooms are dated and show wear that just a coat of white paint doesn't fix. But they serve the purposes they are for. Food served a la carte is really good. Buffets are meh, but variety is limited and not real exciting. There is a tunnel under the street so access to the beach area is safe and easy. Small but great little beach and bar. Very nice views at beach restaurant and bar. Drinks: They charge extra for half of their liquors on display. AI should be all AI, not just the bottom shelf. Staff: They seemed to be short staffed and the ones there do not seem to be too thrilled to be there. BAD> Pool lacks proper skimmer and surface is full of hair, skin oils, dirt, small leaves, rather nasty. Price> $235 per night could be spent at a higher end resort. Expedia did a "bait and switch." Hotel was advertised as an All Inclusive, but the price we booked was just breakfast only. It was not clarified on the Expedia website. We had to upgrade $110 per night for All inclusive. Not happy about that.

Left room service plates in the hallway. Some workers are very good at their jobs some are just here. The people who booked the adventure trips at the hotel tried to charge us an extra $20 and when we asked for our $170 back the guy had to pull $20 out of his wallet. When we originally looked online to book it was $90 a night but booked a week later and it was $1400 for 8 nights because a conference came in so watch when you book. Double rooms has dressers, nightstands and tables but a king room has 1 stand, 1 suitcase rack, nightstands and a hammock so really no place to put your things. Rooms has a refrigerator, safe and 4 clothe hangers. Air works well. Some shade on beach across the street. Not really a kid friendly beach. About a 15 minute walk to town. 10 minute walk to grocery store. Breakfast was fantastic, ordered salads one night and it was drowning ind dressing. Hamburgers were precooked and flank steak had strange seasoning and potatoes were strange taste and texture.

The Wyndham name means nothing for this resort. It is a typical tile floor, dirty bathroom, patio light doesnt shut off until 9pm, absolutely no frills room that is located across the street from the beach. For the same money...you can get a cheap equivalent room on the beach. This one has. Dive Paradise licated on the property however. Food at this place is pretty good.

Most likely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had! I had to stay one night as it was close to a race I was running.
Hotel had almost no food options, I ended up paying a crazy amount for a horrible buffet even though I had confirmed with them that I would be able to order from a menu restaurant.
They would not turn off my balcony light even though I let them know it was important that I sleep early. The noise outside was so loud and you could hear every little thing all night.
Breakfast was also subpar and very low quality food.
Facilities need an update and there was dust and dirt everywhere. My room was damp and smelled if mold or something musty.
Staff seem to agree with you when you tell them it’s not up to standard, not their fault but I continually tried to talk to someone.
Location is out of the center so it’s not easy to go to other restaurants or bars.

I have been to this property many times over many years, before it was Wyndham. This was my worst experience.
The room had NO furniture whatsoever except the beds and a refrigerator. In the past there was a dresser, a table, and two chairs. I had to bring in a plastic chair from the veranda in order to sit on the room.
They would not allow me to make a room charge for the first two days, insisting I paid cash. When I questioned it at the front desk, they said it was a mistake and it was fixed.
The shower needs work. The shower head old and does not move and sprays everywhere.
In the good side, the breakfast buffet was very good, as in the past.
I still like staying there and will probably return, but Wyndham really screwed this place up.

Once you learn the rhythm it’s good. Bring lots of small bills for tips. Change your money to pesos before you get there.

We've stayed there numerous times and will stay there again. 10 walk to the grocery store and 20 walk into town. Love it.

(1) Check in was abominably slow. It took 42 minutes from the time I got in line to when I had my keys. Only one person checking people in and didn't seem to care how slow he was going. Other staff members were behind the front desk, milling around, doing nothing to help. (2) No lockers available for scuba gear at the dive operation. Pathetic. (3) workout room in a dilapidated, run-down state with missing and largely inoperable equipment. (4) noisy room facing one of the busiest roads on the island (5) dirty room with hair from previous guests on the floor and in the shower, stained towels, stained bedspread (6) leaking air conditioner dripping water on our bag until we discovered it. (7) pathetic and uncomfortable pillows (8) hallway water dispensers almost always empty or inoperative (9) curtain that was too thin and ill fitting to block out the very highly lit road front facing window at night.

The pictures are great but the actual place is bad. Property maintenance poor. Front desk staff not friendly. Most of them work there because they have to, not because they want to . Dining buffet very limited in options.

Some of the staff seems rude to me.

I have friends on the Island and security would not them come past the lobby to visit. My whole group had to sit in the lobby to visit and he had traveled from Cancun to meet my grandsons and visit my daughters and I.
The rooms are well kept, but OLD!

Enjoyed everything about the property and the staff. Only disappointment was that we thought we booked all inclusive, as our confirmation email said "all inclusive" on it. When we arrived, the front desk staff told us that the "all inclusive" was just in the title of the hotel and that we did not have an all inclusive package. Very deceptive.

Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property. Staff are great, very clean. Beds are barely above Motel 6 quality. The foam mattress pads are too mushy. No refrigerators normally. You have to ask for one and pay 50 dollars a day that is stocked with beer and drinks. Or 25 a day for just the refrigerator. To the hotel's credit, they did put one in our room when I told them I needed one to store medication and did not charge me.
The bathroom is so far out of date it's pitiful. It is a tub/shower combo that doesn't have a fixture for running water in the tub, only a shower head. The main problem is access to the tub.The tub wall is better than 2 feet off the ground. Short people or infirm people will have a big problem getting into and out of the tub. The commode area is about 3 feet by 3 feet. Hardly any comfortable room in there. There was ample hot water and water pressure was great. The room a/c is a mini-split type that appeared fairly new. Worked very well cooling the room down after housekeeping would turn it up every day.
We were busy most days away from the hotel so didn't enter the pool. Looked clean however. Best thing going is the free breakfast included, but it's typical buffet food. Cooked earlier and soggy by the time it's served. There is an open self serve bar for bloody marys and mimosas and the free parking is good if you have a rent car.
To sum up, although we first stayed at this hotel in 1996, it's off our list in the future

What sets this hotel apart from the others is the staff. They treat you like family. Indeed we consider many of them to be our extended family. We have enjoyed this resort many times over the years. Can’t wait to return next year.

We've stayed the numerous times. Very convenient to walk to the grocery store and to town. Also their beach area is very clean and private. Plenty of good snorkeling.

We love staying here. The separate areas with the beach on one side of the road and the swimming pool on the resort side is ideal, believe it or not. Love the breakfast by the ocean every morning and the snorkeling is so easy and was really great this year. We don’t do the all inclusive and enjoy the walk in to town in the evenings for great local food. So much live music in town to enjoy also.

I LOVE the hacienda style courtyard and pool. Very safe for little ones. Loved the addition of the bicycles-great for exercise. Eating breakfast while overlooking the ocean is a favorite. I like the tunnel under the busy street and the dive shop on the property is so convenient. One question: why did you remove the ladder into the water next to the pier?

Property in need of a serious upgrade and facilities. For the condition of the property, I should’ve paid half the price.
Breakfast was good.

Food and drinks were not that good.

Room air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good, very noisy though even when only half full. Balcony lights are on which keep the room lit until 10:05pm automatically is ridiculous with no control from room, curtains don’t stop the light. Shower head clogged and sprayed everywhere, shower didn’t drain well, deck door did not open without enough force to injure an arm….which happened, only opened 2-3 feet before completely jammed. No cups in the room, water dispensers in the hallway frequently empty, tiled floors down hallway extremely loud when any house keeping or guests roll luggage past.

Bathroom needed a thorough cleaning/update, smelled of mildew with stains in the tub. WiFi connection was terrible, my wife had food items taken from the room while we were out and friends also staying there had money taken from their room. Both incidents were reported to the front desk however we had no feedback or apologies.

Love the people. We come to stay here frequently and the workers are the best. Cornelio and Silvia are awesome at breakfast. Our room requests are rarely noted before our arrival but the front desk does a great job working things out. The maid took our pool towel. She admitted to taking it to be washed. Had a tough time getting credit. Why would she take it when there is a required deposit. Also our last stay in July, my nephews passport was taken from the room. It was taken from the night stand. It was never found and quite a hassle to get replaced. In the 15 times we have stayed, this is the first time we felt we had to be careful with items left out. ☹️

Nice place to stay, it was clean, comfortable, nice comfy bed, and the free breakfast buffet was good too. The staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. If i go back to Cozumel, I will stay there.

The staff as a whole was very unattentive and acted as is they were being annoyed when asked anything. The rooms were no where close to a 1 or 2 Star hotel much less the 4 star they state to have. Bed were very hard and clumpy. I awoke sore every morning and the sheets must be a 400 thread they are very rough. The room that i was in looked as though they just kept throwing paint on it without scraping or taping. Room has not not been remodeled or refurbished in a very long time. The pastel yellow and green curtains say it all plus the spotted and cracked mirror

I really like the facility, size of the pool and what I like was the option to ocean access. We had breakfast included and really worth it, a lot options of food we were really pleased with the breakfast. With the bicycle I recommend better maintenance or buy a new ones. For the rest we were happy with the staying in the hotel.

Great stay, few people. Huge pool. Found it hard to get food on-site except for breakfast. I do not recommend the pizza. Breakfast is extremely good. The coffee could be better. I did not try the 4-course restaurant option but that is available in lieu of room service Snack menu at the pool was sometimes available.

I like the location, very close of down town. great snorkeling spot in site. Food and beverages ok and fare price. Staff very friendly and supportive. especial mention for Luisa Tax during breakfast. I would recommend some upgrade in the entertainment events.
