Reasonable place to stay, no issues, was comfortable. It’s maybe 10 mins walk from the corner of Oaxaca centro. The area is a lot quieter than centro itself, so late at night we felt slightly wary (we were two women) but the locals otherwise say it’s a safe area. It’s only 8 mins walk from ADO bus terminal which was nice. Breakfast was excellent. Safe worked well. Service was lovely. Hot water was hot. I would recommend this place overall but staying closer to centro might be more convenient

Ok hotel. Needs remodeling.

The area is convenient and near the park with multiple restaurants around it. The staffs are nice. I do wish they have more staffs that speak other languages. I don’t speak Spanish so it was difficult to communicate and ask for room services. I do recommend adding more lights around the pool and bar area to make it nicer. We are a family of four, but they only gave us enough towels and cups for two people. We constantly had to request for more towels. Overall, I give this a 3 out of 5.

It was to noisy and old windows

Beautiful grounds, good staff, comfortable clean rroom, good location, nice pool.
Restaurant and bars a bit disappointing as far as menu and ambiance but good walkable options nearby.

A traditional hotel that has been in the market for several years. Updates are always appreciated to fulfill a more effective basis with honesty and respect to the local, national and international customer. Thank you

It continues being as great as usual

It looks built in the 1970-80s and had stayed taht way. It need renovation. Still, all services worked fine.
2.0
Very outdated and the customer service is subpar. Bathroom was dirty and the pictures online are deceiving.

A quiet proprty in general, due to its large grounds, and being just outside of the core central area. The pool was huge and not busy, except staff and visiting performers used the area at night to party - noisy. Ground level units can be loud with moving chairs/people on tile floors. Excellent staff. Buffet breakfast was a bit pricey at $24CAD, but good. No fridge in the room, which was a major hassle - no ice or cold drinks available in room.

It was very nice and walkable to downtown

I Have Been In this hotel many times. I don’t give 5 star on “property condition “ because it is a very old property, but I like it and the staff is always friendly.
It is very functional, at 15-20 minute walk from the “zocalo” and lots of amenities.

The TV or cable system were working terrible, the conditions of the bathroom were too low for this big name hotel, besides there were lots of mosquitoes in the bathroom....

The property is reasonable for a night stay, but seems older and not updated in 30-40yrs. Rooms are spacious, but very limited and plain furniture (ie. formica table), not lounge, chairs. Groups are kept well, but also need updating (i.e. the walkways have cracking concrete and very uneven brick pavers). Overall, I found the price of the room and amenities not matching the location. The price should be easily 1/3 less. Puebla was a much better price to quality and amenities ratio. A lot of photo shopping in their pics.

Not really worth the price they advertise a pool but looks like pool never gets cleaned.
I went out to eat came back around 9 pm it was so dark that I got lost for a few minutes they need to at more lights so people can see around them.

Location was very convenient for our time.

I liked the near downtown and easy access.
Didn't like: The hotel is old, the room smelled pungent and felt that it was not that clean.

The property needs major upgrades and newer furniture. Is located in a good area but the property itself is not well kept.

I'ts a nice hotel, conveniently located closed to city center but just enough outside to not suffer from the crowds. The hotel is a good 4-3 stars, but the price is for a 5 star hotel. I understand supply/demand forces, but this time the price/value relation was really bad.

nice peope and kindness! thank you

The property grounds are divided in several buildings around the gardens, our room was located in one of the last ones, so we had to walk a long way to reach it, plus it was raining and we were soaked! If you are not a walker make sure to ask for a room nearby, otherwise, you'll be fine. Our room was close to the swimming pool and the tennis court, which by the way, we were awake every day by the sound of the early players hitting the ball. The room was spacious, but the tv was small, could do an upgrade for a bigger one. In general, the hotel is well kept and clean, I could come back with a room closer to the reception.

Very good..

In general it’s a good hotel, it has older rooms and new rooms. The pool is not what you see on the pictures, it’s big but it’s very old and the floor hasn’t been maintained at all, I didn’t like that. Staff is super nice and friendly, cleaning was great, parking is reduced. Also I asked about some tours on front desk and the price was way more expensive than what you find in downtown with an agency. Breakfast in the restaurant was good.

Sadly i came here with kids for their nice big swimming pool, but the water was so disgusting, they blamed the rain the last few days, they did not oened yhe problem, the hotel previous to this, plaza fortin had clean swimming pool. Avoid, avoid

I like almost everything but I think bedrooms should be remodel.

I liked the good service, the clean property and the food options in the restaurant.
I did not like that just by telling them that I wanted to take a tour guide I was charged twice the rate. It looks like half of it was commission for the hotel for doing very little.

Just 20 minutes walking to the Centro Historico, but once in side the grounds you feel like you're in safe, quiet place with a great pool and tennis courts. A great place to let kids run around outdoors safely.

My experience did not start out well, but turned into a very, very good one. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and liked it. This time on check in, I asked the clerk if my room was by the pool as I had paid for. He told me I did not have a pool view room and was completely unhelpful. The room he put me in was beyond horrible. Old, dark, worn out, trash outside, etc. That evening I went back to reception and reported my issue to another clerk at . She told me to come back in the morning and they would make it right. I did so and talked to the manager. It was obvious he saw the check in clerk's error right away. He immediately put me in an outstanding room, far beyond the level of what I paid for. So I ended up having the nicest room I have ever had in Mexico for the duration of my trip. I appreciate the managers' help and that he quickly made it right. Because of this. will continue to return to the hotel.

This property is very old, it needs a good renovation and the water in the swimming pool is dirty.

Very nice and clean place, still close enough to down town. Starbucks is only a few blocks away.

The grounds were very well kept and aesthetically pleasing. The initial 2 nights were spent in a ground level room, near loud, partying teenagers, who were outside running up and down the walkway late in the evening. Despite several contacts with front desk, little change occurred, so a request to change room locations was made and things dramatically improved- larger, brighter room, upper level, with less noise. Dining experience was poor compared to my last visit two years ago. Poor service, choice of food was much more limited, and quality not nearly as good.
I picked the hotel for the tennis courts, but otherwise would choose a different one.

Very nice property staffed by even nicer people. A great pool and restaurant along with peaceful quiet nights makes for a perfect stay.. I highly recommend.
