Very pleasant stay, up dating of rooms would be nice.

We had a great stay but the pillows were like rocks. Generally the bar area could do with a make over but it was lovely to see a real fire

Have stayed several times.
Hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of this beautiful Cotswold town.
The historic building must require constant maintenance - some carpets, etc. are well-worn and external decor looks overdue for attention.
All that said, we shall continue to enjoy staying here.

Nice place to stay in Campden - recommended. Quiet and good service
4.2
Didn't stay because we never received an email with check in instructions.

Room was nice but so hot. Chiller provided did not work because it needs re-freezable blocks regularly re- frozen, but obviously not done for years. Also a fan, which worked but was nowhere near enough. Service was good, but the menu was not to our taste, relying heavily on pasta, curry and burgers. We had chicken with potatoes instead of pasta, which was ok, but we went out for the second night. Breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice.

Location excellent
Ventilation system near bedroom noisy.

1. my evening meal came late my husband had ate his before i received mine .
2. the noise in the night was outstanding it went on until 2am door slamming banging like thunder .
3. food average .
4. good position of hotel in town

Wonderful location in a very charming town. However, there was no air conditioning and there were multiple stairs on the same floor we had to navigate to get to your room. There wasn't an elevator. Beware if you have larger suitcases you will find it to be a challenge. A restaurant is located inside the hotel and the meals (breakfast & dinner) were delicious. As long you aren't in a rush to eat, we highly recommend this restuarant.

Had a lovely stay at the Noel Arms while walking in the Cotswolds. A great spot in the middle of town.. nice little restaurant with outdoor seating and the rooms was a nice size with a good bathroom. Had a great breakfast in the morning. Very reasonable highly recommend it.

The staff and food really stand out for this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights on a Bed and breakfast basis and had one evening meal. The quality and choice was excellent, I had 4 different breakfasts.
There were some maintaince issues in our room and everything possible was done for us, and it didn't effect our enjoyment. I understand that all rooms are going through a refurbishment programme.
The only section I marked lower was in relation to green issues. I think they could have a towel policy. On day one, all were replaced. On our 2nd day, we left a message that we would reuse our towels, but folded clean ones were still left in the bedroom. After the third night we got our wish. Single use plastic shampoo should be reconsidered and recycling bins put in the rooms.
Despite that I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Centrally located

Good location and nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Room very noisy as it was near the entrance and exit to the hotel car park and adjacent to a busy road. Windows did not close properly as they are old which we appreciate is difficult.

Loved the ambiance x

Nothing worked: shower, no hot water, building in a terrible state of repair.
4.2
A very enjoyable two night’s stay. The room was comfortable, staff were friendly and the food good.
Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was down, but this did not affect our stay.
Would be happy to revisit.

Rooms kept clean and in a lovely area

Lovely place to stay. Very cozy comfortable older hotel. We loved the atmosphere and amenities.

Very nice stay.

What a lovely place to stay in the Cotswolds! It is quiet and peaceful yet in the heart of the town which is very walkable. We loved everything about the hotel.
4.2
Welcoming arrival. Blue badge space reserved for me. Good meal.
4.2
Could do with a bit of a refurbishment. Lovely staff but rooms dated. Needs new pillows.
4.2
Staff were amazing. Efficient and friendly. Food great. Room a little tired but would happily stay there again.
4.2
Unfortunately during our stay in bedroom 12, (twin room) I got bitten several times by bed bugs. I emailed the hotel when I got home the same day and they still haven’t responded to me a week on! So for that reason I would avoid.
4.2
Although it’s an old building, flaking paint in room and communal areas lets the place down.
Decorators equipment and paint left in our room on arrival, when removed they appeared again the next day on the landing next to our room!!! Tv remote was missing and other guests did not have one either. The bar and restaurante staff were attentive and the food was good.
4.2
Room was nice but temperature control was challenging. We were perpetually hot. The restaurant served nice food, but they’re understaffed and struggled with timing at the dinner hour (breakfast was well managed). Location can’t be beat. Everyone was very accommodating.
4.2
The decor in the bedroom a little tired and at one point we had hot water coming out of the cold tap in the wash basin and another time nothing at all. Other than that, everything worked fine until checkout. I'm not used being asked to pay a discretionary service charge on the cost of the room - it seems like a way of increasing the room rate by 12.5%
4.2
Great stay, after there was a problem with the booking through Hotels .com, which was quickly sorted out by the hotel staff, who were all excellent and very helpful.
The food was first class, and the restaurant very good (once we had learnt that we could use it rather than the conservatory which was used by people with dogs!!)
All in all a great stay, in an excellent location on the high street, with parking.
Only one small criticism, the bathroom in our room needed painting in places.
Will be booking again.
4.2
The hotel itself has an amazing location, right on the high street. Service was great from some people but hit and miss from others. The room was clean, but as with the rest of the hotel it felt a little tired.

Great place to stay in the Cotswolds, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable room great food, good value, I would recommend

Great place. Shower could use some work. Not hot enough and very average water pressure.

We spent a 2 night stay at the property with our 2 year old toddler and 2 dogs in November 2023. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and we would recommend to others to visit. The property is warm and cosy and the pub has a lovely feel about it. The venue is very dog friendly and they’re allowed to stay in your room whilst you dine in the restaurant. We stayed in room 29 which is situated in the car park near the rear exit to the pub. Unfortunately we were woken at 1240am on Sunday morning by a group of people exiting the rear entrance. The bedroom has single glazed windows (due to age of property) so if you’re visiting with young ones perhaps opt for a quieter room. We would love to visit again in the future.

Excellent food, service & rooms. Tha Noel Arms is one of the best Cotswoldian hotels, and we look forward to staying there again in 2024.
4.2
Pros:
Location in the heart of Chipping Campden
On-site parking (see Cons)
Restaurant is excellent choice for dinner
Nice windows in the room
Cons:
This is an old building with a maze of staircases and hallways and the front desk decidedly does NOT offer help with luggage.
On arrival, was told the parking lot had been filled by wedding guests (huh?). Actually parking was available, but didn't see this until I had dealt with luggage several blocks away.
Basically, the front desk staff is not helpful, but otherwise it's a good place to stay.
4.2
Great location on main street. Breakfast was excellent as was the service our entire stay. Close to all the main towns in the Cotswolds.
4.2
It's an old hotel but an interesting place to visit and the morning breakfast was very good and we had one dinner while there and that was good too!
4.2
We loved our stay at the Noel Arms! Perfect location and comfort and service. Delicious classic breakfast and in room tea - we LOVED our room! Massive bathroom and it was beautifully renovated. One threadbare chair in the room did not detract- everything else was lovely. Exceeded expectations- and We will return. Kind and available staff!

Breakfast and dinners were excellent.
