Great location, decent facilities, but the area was covered with dog poo.

Fantastic location.

We thought the standard of the lawn and pathway, and especially the patio around the hot tub was disappointing. I booked the accommodation fully knowing that the site was dog friendly. We have a pet dog at home in sweden also. So we are aware of their toilet habits and the work it takes. But the amount of dog poo was ridiculous. I don't think I have ever seen so much before. The responsibility falls mostly on the owners but we literally had to remove several pieces of poo that were directly next to the entrance of the accommodation ... a poor welcome needing to clean our shoes directly. The hot tub area and next to the bbq were several pieces... and it literally smelt really disgusting.

Hot tub heated within 2 hours, stayed in hot tub for over 2 hours after! Privacy, ideal location, accepted dogs

Okay, for cheap night

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the photos advertised tbh, everything needs a good clean / refresh.. the hot tub was heating for hours and still didn't get warm after two lots of wood 🙃 paid extra for a veiw... the veiw was a graveyard!

Not organised, hot tube useless

Hot tube did not heat with all the wood we used. The pizza over was not clear on how to use a there was not the right equipment left for you to make the pizza. Even when we went to use the inside over there was no oven trays ect

Nice pod, bad customer service

Pros: Really nice, comfortable pods, Good shared kitchen area Nice patio area.

Cons: The email instructions on how to check in/get into our pod were sent a day late (after we'd already left! Thankfully, we got there just in time to find an actual person to help ((who was lovely)). We purchased the logs and kindling prior to arriving and started our hot tub when we got there as per the instructions. The amount of logs we got for £25 was a rip off but we tried and waited 3.5 hours. By that point, the water was only just luke warm (if that) so I called the number and the only option was to buy more even though the they had said that the original amount of logs was enough and should only take 2 hours. It was clear from that conversation that the owner only cares about money and not about making the stay enjoyable. The other 2 pods near us also had troubles and one if them had purchased numerous logs for their multi night stay and never got it hot enough to go in. I had booked using a lot of my wallet from booking.com genius, in my opinion, if we had paid full price, we would have been severely disappointed. At the price they charge, the correct amount of logs should be provided in the cost and they should start the fhot tub for if you are intending to use - they would already know they as they call in advance to sell the logs to you. Exteas also include pizza dough for a pizza oven that looks like it has just been left there and would also require you to purchase even more kindling to get it going. Customer service was shocking. The place has so much potential but once the owner has your money, they just don't care. There was no area for recycling.

Poor, dont waste time staying here. Not worth the money.

Location was great

There was thick black mould throughout the pod. It was on the walls on the door in the bathroom/shower room. The step down to the hot tub was super dangerous it was so steep and the whole area was full of mud so there was added danger. The food prep area was dirty and full of greasy and rusted dishes. The pizza oven was dirty. with trays left next to it full of rain water and grease. The whole site was unloved and dirty. I would not recommend a stay in the pod if you are asthmatic as my sister became unwell due to the mould. The sofa bed was dirty with stains all over it and no bottom sheet provided to make this into a bed. The little dome in the middle was thick with green algae door and window completely broken. Furniture in there old and broken. Blankets wet and smelly. Hot tub was heated by log burner so was either freezing cold or scolding hot. After we paid an additional £25 for logs and got the hot tub hot we were unable to control the temperature and could not get in as it scolded our legs. The whole place seemed unloved and could do with some serous upgrading.

A little more TLC required

The hot tub once you work it out is pretty decent. They gave us the wrong logs to use so it didn't quite work as we would've hoped.

We have been before and would say the only issue is, provide better instructions for the log burner hottub and also make the patio larger. We had to negotiate a muddy walkway to get to the hot tub. It certainly took the shine off the experience.

Romantic break , perfect location

We loved the location , really cute site.

We noticed the glamping pods need a bit of a refresh. They were really comfortable and great fun. Also wood fired hot tubs are great but we didn’t really know what we were doing so we didn’t manage to get it hot 🤣. A mini site guide inside the accom is good idea perhaps. We had such a great time and this site has tonnes of potential

We were sent a code to retrieve the key from the lock box

The property itself was cleanish, but very run down. Mould around the sink and tap. Bed was very uncomfortable, poor quality mattress . Towels were small as didn't wrap around us after our shower. Hot tub took a fair few hours to heat up, the lights in the hot tub didn't work , and my partner slipped in as we couldn't see the steps inside the hot tub . The instructions weren't very clear of how to maintain the water temperature, and ours got extremely hot. We stay in the middle pod Lawd

Ripped off - never again.

The hot tub was lovely when you got it up to temperature.

The cleanliness of the pod was poor. The bathroom stank - presumably because of the septic tank. Didn't use the shower - couldn't hold my breath for long enough. The wood was extortionately expensive, and was actually damper than our own seasoned wood at home, and also the stuff that you can buy at the supermarket. (Aldi) The communal kitchen was dirty and certainly was not where I would want to cook. The TV did not work for us.

It was quiet, clean and the hot tub was a nice extra

Didn’t like the late 4pm check in and the 10am check out although additional fee for a 12pm check out. Feel the 4pm was too late as the day is wasted where as 10am is normal for most places. Fee for the wood for the hot tub- meant could only use it as an additional not as part of the pod but this is advised on site when booking

Avoid- mouldy, dirty, and the hot tub doesn't work!

Didn't like anything, absolute disgrace.

The cabin was mouldy and dirty , the condensation from the shower room saturated the toilet roll leaving us without toilet roll for the duration of our visit. Told we had pay extra for the hot tub which would take 1-2 to warm up, which after 6 hours was only lukewarm- we had to pay £25 for the logs to heat the hot tub which were clearly not enough to heat, and advised that if we needed more we should go to the shop ourselves. We rang the site manager regarding the hot tub whose response was " it worked last night, you need to be patient, I don't know what to tell you miss"- it was him that advised it would take 1-2 hours to warm, we phoned him after 3. Pitch black around the hot tub area, and muddy. No instructions on how to check out. Absolutely disgraceful.

Nothing - well, the kids are scared of spiders but they’ll get used to spiders with more exposure :) We couldn’t get the hot tub hot enough but we all had a great experience of getting into the Luke warm tub.

Disappointing.

Honestly nothing. Only stayed because we’d paid and didn’t feel we’d get any money back.

This very over priced for what you get £710 for 4 nights. No one on site to meet and greet. No instructions for arrival. The pod was tired and shabby. There was an horrendous smell when we arrived which was coming from the toilet/shower. We spoke to a staff member the day after we arrived who blamed the heavy rain and toilet. Actually it wasn’t the toilet it was the shower drain and really was awful. Nothing was done to help. The self catering pod had a sink and kettle and fridge. There were 2 mugs a couple of plates and glasses. All of which were either cracked or chipped. One of the outdoor chairs was broken. The lights around the hot tub didn’t work. There was a shared kitchen building/ shed between 2 pods and 10 “tents”. It was disgusting. The sink was leaking when arrived and still the same when left. There were dirty towels left to soak up the leak. Even after the cleaning staff had been it was no better, they didn’t appear to clean it. There is an outside covered bbq hut that was again scruffy and unkept. It wasn’t cleaned during the 5 days we were there. The pizza oven was worse. We didn’t get to use the hot tub as others had tried and failed to heat the water. The small bucket of sticks and 2 bags of logs were an extra cost of £30 for what you could buy fir half the price from the garage down the road, so we didn’t bother. It’s such a shame this could be wonderful but I really think it’s all about the money and not quality. We have a motorhome but fancied a change. Never again, this is the worst place we have ever stayed.

Nice pods with lovely hot tub

Hot tub was clean. Main bed was comfortable, sofa bed good size. POD generally a reasonable size for 4 people. Excellent location and good views. Hot tub was really nice. Slightly difficult getting it at the right temperature but great when achieved! BBQ facilities good.

Toilet has a very bad smell. We think it would be really good to have a light at the side of the pod near the hot tub which comes on at night. Sone simple info about local walks, Wi-Fi code, eg welcome pack/book would be good.

The smell from chemical toilet is almost unbearable and needs a deep clean

Just the jacuzzi!!

Pungent smell when entering the property which remained and appeared to be coming from chemical toilet so bathroom unable to use. Unclean and dirty. Hardly any crockery and cutlery - again not clean. Thankfully we were only there one night.

Short but sweet

Really clean and a cosy little cabin. Easy access to kitchen facilities.

The sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and bedding didn’t smell the freshest - probably die to being kept underneath the sofa. Hot tub was hard to use, the instructions were provided though.

The hot tub didn’t work properly, we followed all instructions correctly but it never worked after keeping on top of it for over 4 hours, it never heated up, so we couldn’t use it at alland the pod had a very funny smell to it as soon as we arrived and it stayed like that all night.
