Really nice and confortable hotel

I was supposed to stay here for seven days eight nights and from the first look of it the room that they gave me did not even have a window air conditioner was broken place was super dirty so I went to the staff to try to get to see if they can refund me the money they will not even do that. I called Expedia Expedia trying to dispute, the cost honestly, I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. It’s too far from the sites. It was awful.

It was an amazing stay! The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The only thing is that we went in November so we couldn’t use the pool. But besides that, it was such a nice experience

We had some water issues but they resolved it for us and were very helpful

This is a “tired” hotel with an unfriendly staff, good food in the restaurant and in a good location if traveling by car.
Proper maintenance is lacking such as missing or broken parts on doors and windows. And we had a hard time open the closet door.
This is a very pet friendly hotel and I almost tripped over a dog laying on the floor at breakfast. We got to see a nice dog fight in the lobby and listen to a happy poodle barking at people as they walked by during lunch.
We reserved the hotel through Expedia, along with 12 other hotels, during our travel in Italy. This is the only hotel that never returned any of my messages through Expedia.
When we arrived, desk person was very nice. They had a wedding going on so I had to park in a field behind the hotel. Other front desk people were not very helpful. The wait staff had “snooty” attitude.
We would not stay here again.

When our travel plans changed, we were very lucky to get two room at this hotel. A one night stay made us wish we had booked a whole week here. The hotel is easy reached, being only a short distance off a main highway. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in checking in/out and arranging dinner for us when we arrived late. All in all, a great stay and close to our travel goals in Tuscany.

The kids enjoyed the pool, it is a relaxing setting but the service could be a lot better. They certsinly dont make you feel appreciated for booking theough discount sites like expedia. Discounted service on discounted price, but the breakfast menu deserves praise.

The pool was nice and the staff was nice. The beds in the room were very uncomfortable & the shower leaked all over the floor

Mold in the bathroom. Some fitness center equipment was without power and did not work. Waiting staff was unfriendly and you got the sense that you were annoying them if you asked a question. The pool area is nice but without service in the pool bar. So you have to go the the reception and ask for service. They send someone in 10-15 mins

Beautiful property, very nice pool, and great spa/sauna area. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Would've been nice to have property shuttles to be taken around but we managed with taxis from Siena area.

It is a beautiful property

Beautiful hotel with views of Monteriggioni. It seems like it's more suited to those with cars but there are bus stops for the 130 bus outside the hotel which connects it to Siena and San Gimignano.
Lots of activities on offer (we hired bicycles and cycled some of the via francigena).
Overall, very good for a relaxing break or for those who want to use the hotel as a base to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby castle towns of Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Volterra.

Generally, the hotel room was nice, clean and updated. The bathroom shower needed a little attention. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice location, and great if you also have dogs as there is lots of green space. I would stay again!

Check in and check out rather uninspired. Fitness area can be improved (treadmills weren’t working). Rooms spacious and nice. Nice pool.

The hotel is in a very good condition, not far from the main road. Good restaurant onsite. Staff is very helpful, they provided us a coupon for discount to visit the medieval festival held in July in Monteriggioni.

Relaxing place with family to get away from the crazy crowds. A nice way to enjoy the Tuscany countryside. This was our 11-year old’s favorite stay in the area. The pool was big, not crowded and nice pool-side service.

Great location. Comfortable room. Pool was a nice feature. While most staff were friendly and helpful, some seemed to just be going through the motions.
Overall, we would return to Il Piccolo Castello.

Lovely hotel close to all the small Tuscan towns. Lovely pool and good breakfast. Beds were a little too firm but apart from that rooms were welcoming and cool with aircon after a day out exploring Tuscamy.

The hotel was very pretty and in a quiet area right outside of the city center with a gorgeous view of the castle on the hill. We enjoyed our stay and wish we had more than just the one night. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with a lot of options. The pool area is very nice, though our only complaint is that they tried to charge us 5Euro for a pool towel. We passed and just used our room towels.

Very good hotel within a comfortable work of the medieval fortress village of Monteriggioni. Excellent restaurant and pool, clean and well-appointed rooms, and a staff that was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Great hotel of choice in the Monteriggioni area. They have a beautiful property with a restraunt on the premises. It appeared as we pulled into the property that there was not a hotel, only restraunt, but dont let that deter you from checking it out. It is a beautiful property with a stunning view of the castle up on the hill. We took recommendation from front desk and visited the restraunt they have in town of Monteriggioni ,Ristorante da Remo, as the hotels restraunt was closed for lunch the day we visited. If this is any indication of the hotels restraunt cuisine and service, you will not be disappointed. Room was beautifully appointed, as is the whole hotel. Antique furnishings, and paintings adorn the premises. Our room was a superior room which afforded us a great view of the pool. They had it lit up at night very nice, and even had water fountains spanning the pool for a short period during the dinner hour.

This hotel is a perfect place to stop for a restful night. The bed is super comfy and its exceptionally clean. The restaurant for dinner was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice. To add to that all the staff were reslly freindly and we could not have asked for more!

What a pleasant place to stay. The rooms are big and airy, with pool side access, and chairs and table at the french windows to sit at, or under the many umbrellas and sunbeds, at the side of the pool. Plenty free car parking space, and pleasant grounds. The restaurant was also to be recommended.

Mario and Simone in the restaurant went over the top to make our stay enjoyable, food was excellent and staff exceptional!!

We stayed at the hotel in early March for the Strade Bianche in Siena. It was absolutely fine for our purposes and we had a nice stay. However, there were a couple of small issues:-- the wi-fi was out of action for the whole 3 days of our stay (first world problem)- the check-in experience/front desk wasnt that great either but its fair to say that we dont speak Italian so that probably doesnt help

Stayed 5 nights and did day trips to locations around the area. Lovely resort with excellent atmosphere for a quite get away. You need transport to get around and nearest eateries are a km or two away (some have odd opening hours and days). Lots of winerys and country drives. The restaurant and breakfasts were very good, and hotel has a sister restaurant at nearby castle.

Hotel was very nice and the pool area was very refreshing especially the fact that the air temperature was 104 degrees. Staff was not very friendly and one member actually insulted us. The room was fine but bathroom was not the cleanest.
