It was not a great place to stay with Teen girls, people were smoking stuff outside the rooms and were very scary. Guys were saying horrible degrading things to us. We did not feel safe and made our vacation very uncomfortable.

The place was clean and quiet. Only issues: 1. The hot tub outside could have been hotter. 2. Water pressure was very low. Took about a half hour to fill the bathtub. 3. The bed was uncomfortable. The box spring under the mattress was not there. The bed had an old fashioned spring and wire frame under the mattress.

This was my worst hotel experience to date as there was clearly no effort made to improve the experience beyond the amenities listed in the booking description. The room was cringe-worthy in several ways, starting with the very strong musty smell that hits you as soon as you walk in. We were in a ground floor room facing south but no amount of propping the door open , letting the A/C run on high or turning on the bathroom vent would dispel the constant high humidity in the room (the outside air was comfortable by comparison). Any exposed metal in the room was rusty and flaking (lamp shade frames and lamp bases) so clearly this was not a recent issue. The pictures on the internet look promising but in reality the room was dark, the LED lights glaring and cold, and the walls and floors damaged in several areas. The bathroom had seen a recent facelift but no one bothered to clean behind the door. On the upside, I did not observe any pests, the beds were comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were nice. 2 star hotel withstanding, there is clearly no effort made beyond the minimum.

Very nice place. The pool was clean and in service. So many places neglect their pools and just close them down rather than clean them up and offer them to guests. Bed wasn't the very best but it was good enough. Breakfast was good for a budget stay. The manager on duty was very friendly. We would have stayed all weekend but the price more than doubled for Fri. and Sat. nights so we went to another budget motel.

I've atayed at Plantation Suites at least three times. Always had a good experience. The front desk attendant was friendly. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels and toilet paper. Excellent AC. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the bed. It was noisy and uncomfortable. With every move, there was a metallic creaking noise, and the matress felt like a hide-a-bed.

Showing its age and the bed frames are all metal so ever time you move it’s squeaks, loudly! Tub was dirty. Price was in line w what we got. Probably better choice for guys on a fishing trip that don’t care much about the facility vs a family outing.

The motel overall is in really bad shape. The rooms are very worn down, the furniture and bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. I’m a positive note, the sheets were clean and the water was hot.

This hotel is very cute and honest for the price it was great. The beds were not very comfortable but they did the job. The place was as clean as a beach hotel can be. It was pretty quiet and we were even next to the pool. There were cute chairs outside every room too, we used them to dry out our towels. They had a decent breakfast spread, and even separate pool towels too. Overall the biggest issue was the bed, other than that the stay was great. The staff is super friendly as well.

Paint bubbling on wall. Ripped bed sheet. No soap for bath. TV not working. Paint coming off bathroom door. No one answered phone when I called for help. Hotel said Expedia will have to make right for me. No way tocall Expedia. Came to relax. Did not happen! Hotel

Nice hotel. Chairs right outside of room on patio was nice. The bathroom needed a little work to the walls. Breakfast room was a little small for all the people and you are not suppose to take it back to room. Beds make a loud sound when turning because of metal box holding it up. Still giving it 4 stars.

When we checked in, someone had thrown out a bag of groceries in the parking area and left it. It was still there after 2 days. The TV remote did not work. I took it to the office and the batteries were replaced, but it still would not work. There is a posted no smoking sign and a sign that said that smokers would be charged $250, but again, no smoking. People were seated in front of our room and smoked. Our hotel room reeked of cigar and cigarette smoke. Cameras were posted, but I never say any staff say anything to anyone about the smoking violations. It doesn't mean it didn't happen, but... You can hear what is happening in the other rooms; there's not a lot of privacy. I would stay there again, mostly because of location and that it is affordable; it's super easy to get in and get out.

The staff was very nice. They had nice rooms with cold AC. Breakfast had a good variety. They don’t do room service but will get you whatever you need if you go to the office. Everything is in close proximity to the hotel. Beach was less than 5 minutes away and plenty of dining options as well.

We were very pleased with our stay here. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The pool and hot tub were nice and refreshing after a long day at the beach. Breakfast was always good and replenished with fresh food frequently. Our room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We love Port Aransas and visit often during the summer and have stayed at many different places. This was our first time to stay here and we are glad we did. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful building as you approach complete with beautiful lobby area for check in, unfortunately, that’s where the beauty stops, the rooms are in need of work, both maintenance and deep cleaning, the floor appeared clean, but walk barefoot at your own risk. The bathroom looks to have been poorly updated previously yet overdue again. That said we were there for the beach which is located quite close and spent as little time as possible in the room.

I have stayed at this property several times in the past but not in a few years. Everything was better than expected, especially the staff. I had accidentally left my wallet in a bag that I threw away and checked out without realizing the mistake. I realized when I stopped about 40 minutes later to gas up my car. The front desk employee went and retrieved it from the trash and had it waiting for me at the front desk when I drove back. Way above the call of duty and I am very thankful for the extra efforts on his behalf.
