The breakfast was good!
The room was not well maintained. Light by the door did not come on. Lamp on desk did not work.
The door to the bathroom had several areas in which the surface was damaged.
The toilet had a bent handle.
The supplies of toiletries were meager.
The back of the property sidewalk and parking lot needed to be swept.
The door to the outside did not close and lock on its own.

I booked this because all the other hotels were occupied, and mysteriously, this was rated highly.
The lobby smells funky and there are slot machines - that should tell you all there's to know about this dump.
It's a bit ironic they make you sign not to smoke on the property, while the dingy, rundown room reeks of stale cigarette smoke.
One of the "neighbors" was partying past midnight. At 1230, the front-desk agreed to "do something about that," but a half hour they were at it again, and at 4am, there was still a lot of noise and music.
Can I get my money back?
This place ought to be shut down.

Service was great, staff was friendly and the room and building was very clean. Only downside was I could not find a working ice machine.

Great place to stay for a football weekend. 10 minutes to campus. Rooms have always been very clean, and staff throughout are great and helpful.

Dirty overall.

Can't believe people were smoking marijuana near the front door! Hallways were dark, people had their doors open like ot was a dorm! Little kids running down the hallway. Balcony door did not lock. Room did not even look clean. I was scared to even sit anywhere!
2.5
Exterior appears old, but inside is modern with new clean spacious rooms, carpet, et c.
Included breakfast was very good
My wife was impressed with the freshly fried eggs ( versus the spongey scramble we expected).

Room was fine - Double = 2 Fulls, not 2 Queens. Hallway looked clean but had an odd smell.

Ok but room is lid and condition just ok at best.

Asked for clean towels multiple times. Never received

There was no body wash in the barhroom and the room phone didn't work so I had to go to the front desk to ask for body wash. They simply didn't have it and I was told to just use soap. Then a service person sent a bunch of body lotion to the room. I supposed they didn't understand English?
This is really a very poor place to stay even for one night.

Loved: Super friendly staff, good parking situation, fun lobby, ample breakfast buffet (hot sauce, ketchup & mustard a plus!) bathroom heat lamp, two sinks in the room, toilet paper options! excellent outdoor patio accoutrements. Sister loved the pillows so much that she ordered them from her bed :)
Didn’t Love: shower handle set up, lots of chipped paint and wear and tear of furniture, scent of room, hey wears my smoker? (Some had, some didn’t!) no slumber party rule (wth ?)

Convenient location for getting to Illinois football game. 15 minutes away from stadium parking. Property is dated but nice. Breakfast was better than most. Only thing I didn't like was building entrance door lock wasn't working so no security at the time.

Some staff is good others are rude. They don’t clean regularly. Room smelt. Maintenance workers left their trash in the room.

The rating of the property was deceptive. While the room size was ok, the property is not managed well. Our room was smelling throughout our stay. In 9 days the room was cleaned twice. We were told that it's only once in 3 days (after asking about it. We weren't informed at booking or check-in). Definitely one of the worst stays I have had.

Room was not clean , smells and bathroom has a leak (reported)

You can tell it was a very nice establishment once upon a time. That was then. It is a bit outdated. That was not the problem. When I got to my room, turned on the lights, I saw big ROACHES scattering. I immediately got the heebie jeebies and ran out the room with my husband and got a refund. I was disgusted.

I had crawly bugs all over the kitchen area and bathroom. Fortunately I never saw one in the bed. If there had been anywhere else available- I would have left and gone there.

We didn’t like nothing about this hotel The second we walked in the door it was a bad odor. Bed bugs dirty carpet the rooms was not clean the beds look like somebody had already been sleeping on it

Rooms ver clean… breakfast buffet was out of a lot of things and they were not refilled and we were there midway through the open breakfast hours

No room service in 1st 3 days, it took one desk visit and 1 call to get shower towels after 50min...

The room was clean. The inside of the facility was recently renovated and looked nice. The outside needs some work. Breakfast was not very good. The area surrounding the hotel was a bit sketchy. The beds had spring mattresses, but I found them comfortable. Overall it was an average hotel and worked for a quick overnight.

The room itself was fine but there was just an uneasy feeling about the area, the transient setup in the parking lot and the many rules at check-in - like this property had issues in the past. Breakfast was ok.

Clean room, helpful staff when I called @ 12:20 a.m. to ask for help. It sounded like a man was outside my ground floor room talking loudly. The staffer checked inside & outside - no one there. I determined it was a neighbor with his patio door open. Appreciate the care taken to make sure no one was outside.

Thank you for your kind support and hospitality. This property was very convenient and had enough space for 4 people. I’ll definitely use this property when I come to Japan again.

Carpet full of nasty stains all over the room. Bathroom floor sticky, refrigerator that freezes the food, microwave that barely heats up. The room had dirty corners and make us feel zero confidence so we didn’t even sleep using the sheets properly thinking that the lack of hygiene could be perfect for bed bugs. There was no room cleaning during our stay and only 2 towels for 2 adults and 2 children.
Only 1 dirty office chair in a room meant for 4 people.
There was a sign at the front door with food safety violations so we did not eat the included breakfast.
The pool was supposed to be open all day but suddenly and right between 1 and 2 pm, they close it everyday… only 6 chairs scattered all around the pool to sit and 3 tables (some in bad shape or dirty). No pool towels at the pool and instead, the towels shelves were nasty dirty. Seeing how the pool guy was adding chemicals in the middle of the day made us feel very unsafe so we didn’t use the pool anymore. Who adds chemicals at other time that is not overnight? Scary!
There were signs all over the hotel with the rules such: no coolers can be used in the lobby, no parties allowed, etc…
We felt ripped off with the price of the room. I read that the fee for each room (we got 2) was usually $88/ night… we paid way more than that!
It was SO SO BAD.
Expedia!! A hotel with food safety violations should not be announced on your platform! We couldn’t go somewhere else because it was a non refundable booking.

The staff here is always friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, and it's a great option for a clean, low key stay when in town for business.

Weren't able to accomadate our stay was downgraded from a suite to a standard queen room, pool area guests left dirty diapers on the floor, breakfast was not up to my standards, it was great the last time we stayed there.

From the moment we pulled in we realized the pictures on the internet exceed what really existed. We were questioning to even go into the hotel by the outdoor ran down appearances. They were hosting a party when we arrived. We decided to check in and take a look at the facilities inside since it was to late to cancel. The facilities appeared clean but the indoor advertised pictures did not truly match the actual facilities. Everything looked clean and secure so we decided to stay. The party was the only major issue and concern. The smell of drugs and alcohol was prevalent in the downstairs hallway near the front lobby where the party was being held as the evening progressed. Also, we noticed odd activity among the staff acting under the influence and trying to get into occupied rooms and apologize for entering on unexpected guest. We personally had no issues but took precautions to insure our room was secure. Checkout was a breeze no issues in the morning.

There were stains on the carpet and doors/doorways in room have seen better days. Bedding is low quality. They offered a nice breakfast. Rooms on ground floor had patio doors for letting pets out easily. We didn’t use the pool so not sure what it was like, but it’s nice to have if we planned on staying longer than using it to get a little sleep on our way through. Staff was friendly.

Everything is falling apart. Old old furniture. Bad smelling rooms. Not a good place to spend the night.

Liked the price but the room smelled musty, the carpet was stained, and the screen door was torn.
