The hotel itself is lovely. It is in a very walkable area of Santa Clara. Four things that can be Improved upon. 1) ensure all rooms are in working order. The coffee pot was broken in that. It spilled water all over the counter and floor, but did not make coffee. The shower was a little backed up, which meant you were standing in a puddle of water while showering. The bathtub stopper was broken. If you wanted to take a bath, you could not. 2) Train the front desk personnel a bit more. The front desk didn’t have a lot of answers. They were nice, not extremely helpful. 3) Coordinate front desk and valet. We called the front desk to have our car brought up as is the protocol when checking out. We waited about five minutes and were approached by a valet person. He asked what kind of car we had. When we told him what kind of car we had, he said it would be about five minutes or so since we had just put in our request. We told him we called and put in our request at least 15 minutes prior. He showed us his handheld device that said we had just put our request in. Obviously, he was wrong and he was nice about it, but, this snaffu made us late, picking up our daughter. 4) Offer customers something to make up for the imperfections of their (our) stay. Anything small; a $50 credit, a room upgrade for “next time.” Anything. Something would be nice to make them (us) feel like coming back.

The shopping left a lot to be desired with over four clothing stores dedicated to exercise clothes along with luggage stores etc. The shopping was very boring! Missed some of the old stores that were on Santana Row. The Hotel was perfect!

The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful, provided information to the best of their knowledge and tried their best to make our stay comfortable and easy. We dined at Oveja Negra as well, unfortunately we were sat at a dirty table, although there were other options available too. As a restaurant manager myself, I was a little bummed by it but luckily the service was good. Valet staff and bouncers were great too, very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Valencia was excellent! The beautiful courtyard area for breakfast felt like we were in Europe. The upstairs bar had an excellent after dinner club like vibe. The shopping and restaurant selections were amazing too. We had a balcony overlooking the area with Palm trees and mountains in the distance. Would highly recommend.

The last stay at hotel Valencia was an experience of a lifetime. I proposed to my now fiancé and it was perfect. I was upgraded to a suite and man was I impressed. Thank you again for making this important day extra special and a day I will never forget.

Upon arrival, valet wasn’t the best. They didn’t communicate effectively. I had to ask how I’d retrieve my car and get my own luggage. When I got to the front desk, service was decent. The front desk wasn’t unfriendly but not friendly either. I didn’t get a full view overview of the property so a lot I found out from other guests. Lastly, my room was not very clean. It was stuffy and dusty. The vents were filled with dust too. I love Santana row and this hotel is very convenient for walking around and across the street to the mall. If not for the proximity to Santana row, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Me and my daughter came over from the UK to watch the Copa America football game at nearby Levi Stadium. What can I say about Hotel Valencia!! Absolutely amazing would be a good start. The foyer is where you 1st start your journey with this hotel. Clean, beautifully designed with proper Spanish music to welcome you. The reception staff are so helpful and welcoming. There was an issue with our room and we were upgraded to king size balcony rooms which were stunning, overlooking the beautiful serene courtyard. Th hotel smells amazing too… and that scent can be purchased at reception! The hotel has a lovely swimming pool, hot tub and gym on the 5th floor. The pool is great with comfy sun loungers. We did not eat or drink at the hotel so cannot comment on those services. Hotel Valencia is an absolutely sumptuous boutique hotel smack bang in the middle of Santana Row. Lots of restaurants and boutiques on the doorstep, with Westfield Valley Fair a few minutes walk away. Would I recommend Hotel Valencia to people wanting to visit San Jose? Without a shadow of a doubt! Would I go back? Without hesitation! Thank you to everyone at Valencia. You’re all a massive credit to the hotel.

Property and room were nice. However, bathroom only had very hot water-no cold at all. Very strange! I told the desk and I was told maybe some sort of credit could be given. Still have not heard from anyone.
