Try to find a better spot , it served its purpose for two nights , the manager controls the AC in your rooms and they charge $150 for a crappy cappuccino for a machine. Rooms were dirty beds were meh at best. I hate to leave bad reviews but this run down hotel needs some updates , a coat of paint and a cleaning rag would probably bring this place up a star or two

The front desk attendant seemed very put-out every time she had to do her job. I'm used to a European standard where not everyone goes above and beyond to help when it comes to customer service, but she made it clear that she was annoyed with anything we asked of her. In addition to the other horrible things we asked of her (like checking us in), I asked if she could help me schedule a taxi for the next morning to take us to the airport. She said "No, no taxis come here that early. But we have a 'private' taxi that will take you for 50 euros cash. You have to walk down to the closest ATM which is 30 minutes away to get cash, because we do not take a card." I thought this was strange since it's 10 minutes from the airport, and I know taxis run all time of day or night. I just looked online (which I should have done to begin with) and scheduled one to come the next morning. BTW, it was only 35 euros, and they take a card. I'm guessing the 'private taxi' was her cousin, and she wanted some extra cash. There was NO air, and it was really hot in the room, the shower curtain was gross, and we were awakened all night every time ANYONE in the building flushed their toilet. My advice: Pay an extra 10 euros, and go somewhere else, PLEASE.

When arrived the lobby looked just like the photos on the site. However, that’s where all the modern/fancy showing in the pictures ended. The room we were in did not have self control a/c it was on a remove system and during the day it was off and only turned on during the evening and was told through the night but that was a lie. The bathroom did not look like any of the pictures whatsoever. Curtain had mold and it looked like they couldn’t make a repair or didn’t want to make a decent repair on the tile and half assed it with vinyl tile. Unfortunately we couldn’t find another reasonably priced hotel to switch to on such short notice that we had no option but to stay.

The propert had mold on the walls, unsafe for children, and if you have health problems avoid this hotel at all cost.

This place looks nothing like its pictures-I swear they are of another hotel. My toilet wasn’t fascinated to the ground so it kept trying fall over. The pipe to the toilet had a huge hole and water sprayed out when you used it. The bed was ok but no air conditioning even though the site says it has it. Bugs, large centipedes and mold abounded. DONT STAY THERE!

Avoid.

I wish to warn future guests at the Hotel Ariston not to use their card for any purchase in the Hotel like coffee, tea, water or breakfast etc.
The people who run this Hotel Ariston use these facilities which you have to pay by card to get your details to overcharge their hotel guests.
Both my wife and I were overcharge EUR€ 35.00 each on our respective cards.
I showed the reception desk at the Hotel Ariston that I was overcharged by EUR€ 35.00 but they did nothing about it and I even emailed them after returning home to my country but Hotel Ariston did not reply.
Needless to say that I will not be staying with Hotel Ariston again and would advise future guests that have to stay at this Hotel Ariston not to use their card for any purchase on the premises.

Overal the staff were friendly and area was. The rooms are very outdated and no AC. If you just need a quick place to spend the night check it out.

For the price, overall it was fine. The bathrrom was cramped due to the layout of the bidet and toilet. Ok for the price. Thanks!

Not only old but also not well maintained, shower dipping all night and bathroom is tine and dark. Wall is dirty.

It was a cheap stay but the location is pretty misleading and is not a two minute walk into town and is a half hour or so journey into centre Venice as well as a 20 minute journey to airport.
The staff were pretty rude and unhelpful except for one local receptionist with short hair who was really helpful and she was genuinely kind. It became a running joke with my partner that they didn’t have anything available such as ice or cutlery even though they have a kitchen out back.
The walls were pretty dirty and slightly mouldy and the taps would drip and toilet constantly run which keeps you up. Air con is on but unable to control as comes from hall way.
It’s cheap and ok for a short stay if that’s what you’re after.
We took the 8E bus to mestre centro then the tram or 4L bus to Venice and the same back. Make sure to pay for a ticket each trip as there’s a large fine of €50 each. Make sure to get off at the stop after the Lidl on the way back or there’s a long walk. The bus drivers are extremely unhelpful and will just say they’re going your route even if they don’t understand.

I cannot give a full review as we canceled our reservation once we got into our room. The hotel presentation on Expedia is deceptive. The lobby is the only nice part of this hotel the rooms are clean but dingy furniture is out dated and dirty such as the lamp shades are stained the bed is hard as a rock hard and you can feel the springs the there is no in room hotel control for the air conditioning not sure if they really have in room air conditioning but we. Spent about 20 mins there and the ac never came on so we left and booked elsewhere. Rooms are comparable to a dirty travel lodge or an outside room accessible motel 6. Will not re book here. Though the staff is very friendly and even helped get us a cab to our new location

Very old room from 80's but clean. Friendly staff.

Well, it’s very run down and dirty. They don’t even clean off the faucet handles or anything. They clean “just” enough.
The TV is so small you can barely see it. Bed is horribly uncomfortable and also small.
Our heat never worked the whole time we were there which was for 3 days. When we told the front desk girl…she basically said “ok, we’ll look into it” which they never did.
They never offered to move us or even offer a free breakfast.
The breakfast was lacking…no options at all. The juice…was colored water with no taste.
We asked the first clerk what busses to take to get into Venice and he was kind to help us and write it down.
The next morning we wanted to double check to make sure the busses we were taking were correct and the new clerk crossed everything out the first guy said and told us it was all wrong…for the record. The first guy was right.
In a nut shell, you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it was your last and only option.

Very friendly staff, nice warm room, we could sleep very well, easy to go to the bus stop. We were pleased to stay in this hotel 🙂

Staff were nice and room was clean. But the room wasn’t the one advertised in the photo. I paid more for a superior room and what I had was still very very basic. All the material on the headboard was peeling off.

Completely lack of cleaning. The rooms have not been vacuumed for months. Bed seedlings are only made every five days. The service was cold and no interest for the customer, except for one employee of the night and another in the morning that we only saw once. Breakfast is not worth the price. Honestly, I'm not staying at this hotel again. I don't recommend it if it takes children.

It was ok for two nights. The hotel is outdated but it suited our purposes.

The hotel was old. Our room was clean but would be nice with a small update. Bathroom was propably original from 1980's or so.
The receptionists were standing in reception winter coats on. We had an early flight so for one short sleep this hotel was okay.

A bargain price for the location, but can be tricky to get a train back to Carpenedo (the station nearest this hotel). One usually comes every hour - but not always - so keep that in mind. That said, Mestre Station is not very far away (probably quickest by taxi), nor Venice (Santa Lucia / main station), which is about 20 minutes by train from Carpenedo.

When we arrived the reception tried to charge us eventhough we had payed in advance. However everyone else at the reception were helpful and nice during our stay after that.
Our room was not one of those renovated ones that most of the pictures are of but I gues you get what you pay for eh.

Air conditioner is very old and not working, no refrigerator in the room, mattress is very old with metal sticks pushing on my back, dirty, if someone is smoking next door you are smelling it too, no hairdryer or iron is available in the room… I was very surprised to see this . But price was reasonable

It was a great option for the few nights we were there. Rooms are smaller than expected but super clean. The wifi works great. I don’t think they have AC has it was hot and when we asked for them to turn it on they said they would but it never called off. Overall, the staff is friendly, area is safe and the breakfast is great... so we were super happy with this hotel.

The washroom was so small that when you were on the toilet your feet were in the shower which had no walls

The room in real is not as look like in the pictures. And the Ac is not working properly.

The man on the reception was very helpful. wish I knew how far it was from the city which isnt the hotels fault, but should be noted somewhere.
