The room was great, good size and very neat. We stayed for only a day but it was perfect for what we needed. The staff was friendly as well. The only thing was as soon as we stepped into the room there was a very prominent sewage odor that we couldn’t find the source of. We left the window open and the smell never went away.

Nice hotel close to town center. Some sketchy areas. No worse than Chicago west loop area.

Stayed here twice, room 7 was ok noisy air conditioning unit. However it was the shower facilities that was very disappointing, the whole of the bathroom would be soaked in water. Meaning I had to put shoes/flipflops on to brush tears or use toilet after.

Lovely style, and the room was a good size. Location great. The plate of pastries in reception through the day was a nice touch

Close to the station for those coming by TGV, and very stylish behind a rather uninspiring frontage. The public spaces are very nicely decorated, and breakfast is excellent.
Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. A sign indicated that there is some upgrading work going on. Our room did suffer a little from what other reviews have mentioned - the shower screen only covers half of the tray, so water does tend to splash onto the bathroom floor.
In spite of being at the station end of the town, it’s only a short walk to the main sites. A hop on hop off bus runs from almost outside the front door.

A beautiful hotel, a treat to stay in. Great location and very comfortable. Very good breakfast and staff helpful. Parking tricky with top box but they found a solution.

I was excited to stay here as I love art deco and the decor in images are stunning. The room is mediocre not a 4 star in my view. The worst part the bathroom smelled like sewage (it was foul) and the hallways like cleaning products.
4.0 / 10.0
Very poorly built room, bathroom was astonishingly poorly designed with the shower having to clear partition from the rest of the bathroom causing the entire bathroom to flood including sink and toilet areas.
Breakfast was subpar with hard pain au chocolate and overall mediocre food quality and preparation.
night staff made my wife quite uncomfortable with poor communication, bizarre looks and ways of interacting.
If there are other options available I would strongly avoid this establishment.

Very pleasant staff, nice breakfast and very clean room.

First room lovely but air con broke. Second room small and no air con. Third room a SINGLE and frankly unacceptable !

We were given a room with no working air conditioning. A mobile unit was in the room but needed an open window which meant it was ineffective. The unit was also very noisy which meant we got no sleep. This room should not be used in the summer. This was in no way a 4 star hotel and for the price charged for one night was a complete rip off. If we were there for more than one night I would have made a complaint to the hotel but thankfully it was just a stop over.

Bad experience at this hotel and it began at the front desk with no help at all. Don’t ask where to park your car. The answer you get is hilarious.

Decent establishment, but it has the bare minimum expected from a 4 stars hotel.

The breakfast was perfect. Lots of options and really yummy coffee. Location is directly across from the tourist office which made meeting our tour guides super simple. Can't recommend enough!

A beautiful hotel 2 mins from the railway station, and ten minutes from the action. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Would love to return.

I loved the location and the pricing was very reasonable. I was a little surprised with the quality of the bathroom, very small and the shower area was expanded from the original shower pan area but because of that it was very worn out. But for the one night we were there, it worked out fine. The breakfast was lovely.

Comfy and well priced hotel a short walk from the main sites in Avignon. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Good choice for breakfast and dog friendly. We parked in underground car park across the road which is 19 euros for 24 hours. City centre is largely pedestrianised.

Great location for everything- shopping, tour, train & even bus station to other city.
Very happy w stay

Instead of the room upgrade announced by Expedia, for so-called Gold Members there was a room with a view of the clearing shaft and a background noise that was really unaceptable even for insensitive people (maybe due to the ventilation system).
And the so-called gold advantage, a 10 euro credit for food and drinks, was also denied on the day of arival.
Centrally located hotel right next to the city train station and close to the city , good price performance ratio, but without charme and attentivness.
No recommendation as a four-star hotel.

I loved staying here. It's close to everything to see in Avignon, easy to get to from the train station, it's wonderfully decorated, and the staff were all courteous and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable, and I had more space than in other French hotel rooms (which are notoriously small). I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

Hotel still under renovation. There are stairs leading to the room after exit from the lift - not convenient. Location is ok.

Comfortable room in an excellent location on the main ave 3 mins walk from Avignon central train station. The entire walled city is accessible by foot, or by a free local electric shuttle during the day. Room was light and bright, though there are inside rooms with windows only onto a smallish shaft, probably good for those who like it dark and quieter. Staff was friendly and helpful with left luggage. Looks recently repainted, clean, lovely art deco style. Only small issue is that the bathtub is up high, so you need to be careful when you're getting out of a slippery shower.

The staff was very helpful. We left our luggage as we arrived several hours before check in. The desk clerk helped me make a local call from the hotel desk too. Thanks for a great stay!

The issue with this property was the water damage in the rooms. We switched rooms twice because of the smell of mold and the obvious water damage on the walls and floors. The staff were very helpful which was appreciated. The final room was the most updated but also had signs of water damage.

The location was perfect! So close to the station I needed to be at for my next journey, and easy to walk around the main landmarks and etc. I visited for a day during the festival, and everything being so close, I was able to manage having breakfast, visiting another site, speaking with the staff at the souvenir shop (because I left my jacket on their bus), go upstairs, get ready and then proceed to checkout, still leaving almost half an hour before train departure! Yes, the air conditioning could be better, the room could be larger, but the bar made excellent Aperol Spritz (go for Italian style, if he asks!), but overall, the place had everything I wished it had: clean room, kind staff (especially when I checked in at the bar), great location for a single traveler!

The lobby is nice. Rooms were in desperate need of being painted. We were not sure if a chip from the ceiling was going to fall on us. The hotel in theory has air conditioning which seemed to work well for the smug nighttime front desk manager. We were on the second floor which was a complete sweat box. Avignon has a nice breeze at night so you could open the windows and get something to plug into the wall for the mosquitoes. A campsite would have at least had a view of the stars instead of chipped paint. If you are accustomed to sleeping in 85 degree heat with a fan the Bristol could be great for you. We bailed and went to another hotel that had functioning AC.
