The hotel was very nice. Our room was 101 and although it was comfortable and clean, the constant noise of water from toilets flushing day and night. We asked to change room on the 1st but were told the hotel was full. The room description was “courtyard view” which was not was as described

Loved the pool side. Later hours would be great since the pool was closed when we arrived in the evenings from travelling.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to have numerous dining options, which was a positive aspect of my experience. However, I believe the property is in need of significant renovations, particularly in the area of plumbing. On a more positive note, the staff members were exceptionally courteous and helpful throughout my stay.

The location was perfect. Not in a crowded city but in a charming smaller town. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train station and easy flat road to walk with luggage. Staff was kind, room was clean and quiet, food at dinner was excellent. A two minute walk to fabulous restaurants and directly across the street from the beach. It was an older property with old world charm. We highly recommend!!

The hotel is an oasis of old world charm, spotlessly clean, with friendly staff, comfortable room, and excellent breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't get to enjoy the pool because it was a rainy day. Would definitley stay again.
Excellent walkalble location.

Clean and comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. Breakfast was very nice and the rooftop pool is great for sunset aperitivo!

Was good and clean, but overpriced given the condition but it was high season

Nice hotel, little expensive.

Not so Grande Albergo. Hotel has great location, was clean and room comfortable. Staff was disinterested and cold. Never greeted when we walked in or out of hotel and passed the desk. No towels at pool and theoretically you weren't supposed to use your room towels. Breakfast was disappointing. Same each day. Pastries were fresh one day, then stale for the next two.

Lovely location for the hotel. Just opposite it’s own beach/bar BUT we had a room at the back over looking the ‘garden’ which is actually a public park. Got woken up at about 11pm by kids/drunks shouting and singing. Tip: go for a room at the front! Staff on reception so very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately our second night was disturbed by couple In the Room above having a very loud argument at 1am. We rang reception and it appears they sorted the problem. Top money for a very clean and tidy hotel with nice big rooms but in need of update. That’s only our opinion!Would we stay there again? Probably but definitely in a room at the front.

Location was excellent. Easy access to shopping and beaches.

Had a lovely couple of days here. Nice hotel and great rooftop pool. Will come back.

Location and facilities were excellent. Staff attentive and helpful. Restaurant served high quality food at a good price. A jewel of a hotel.

Not so good beds. Extra fees for parking. Ok hotell but i would expect more considering the price.

Luxury hotel in a great spot for restaurants and beach visits. Backing on to parkland. Secure outdoor parking. Great service. Shower enclosure is tiny and the bed is hard but that seems to be the Italian way. Good breakfast and grand old building. Comfortable stay.

overall the stay was excellent my only reservation was the breakfast in the morning seem to me that the pastries were the same ones day after day

Nice position

The webiste of the hotel is very deceptive. The hotel is much smaller than it looks in the website. They try and show a public park at the back of the hotel as part of the hotel. The rooms are tiny. Very expensive for the quality of the hotel. Not impressed.
4.1
A nice hotel on the whole. We enjoyed to stay centrally in town, close to the railway station and the beach. The reception personnel was very helpful and that is very much appreciated.

This is a really nice hotel with very friendly, helpful staff, modern facilities and a roof-top pool. The restaurant serves pizza in the evening, including gluten free pizza.

Amazing location. The rooms and beds could be updated.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and would certainly look to stay here again. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed the facilities and the breakfast was great! The only thing which was a shame was that we didn't realise that the hotel had its own section at the beach across the road. Perhaps our fault as we should have seen it ourselves but it would have been nice if the staff had pointed this out at the time of checking in.

Great rooftop pool, nice breakfast buffet. Easy to get to and from local attractions and 5 minutes from the station.
4.1
Excellent for price directly opposite beach and close to transport
4.1
hotel dated in need of a face lift. room very small with no balcony. asked reception for possible move but they failed to get back to us. No tea/coffee maker in room, no vanity mirror in bathroom. half of hotel seems to have been sold off as apartments. Staff all using pool on day off.Lift very slow and only one for whole hotel. Would only rate this hotel as three star not a four star hotel.

Hotel is across street from beach and within city area. Good for exploring city among Italian folk.
4.1
Five star prices for a three star hotel. Basic breakfast, very slow WiFi, dated decor. Not value for money.

I love this hotel. Far nicer that the Villa Balbo up the road, where I have also stayed. I simply love Sestri Levante and the Grande Albergo has become a home from home. Perfect location for railway station and beach. And Sestri is such a nice town with a lot of character.

Great hotel by the beach. We had a room with a great view of the Ligurian coast to the North: amazingly beautiful. Pool not heated. Beach access extra 9 euros pp.!
4.1
Well located opposite private beach and close to all facilities, very comfortable, friendly service. Beach outlook only available from rooms on side of hotel, as all beachfront rooms are privately owned.

The Grand Albergo is a wonderful hotel to stay in. Situated near larger of the two bays in Sestri Levante, it forms part of the main strip of the resort. The hotel has everything one needs, it is in pristine condition, has a lovely (but cold!) pool, a fantastic restaurant, pleasant bar and very friendly staff. We were extremely impressed with the service. The hotel is also only minutes away from the lively town where there are a range of interesting little shops and restaurants.
4.1
Very cool little hotel right across from the beach. Great rooftop pool with views of the ocean which we loved. Beach was pretty lame compared to many other beaches around the world - the beach there was like gravel, so if you like throwing your towel down and laying on your driveway, you will love this. Beach chairs are probably worth the cost although we walked south a couple beaches and laid on a beach we think was free (we didn't pay). After a short while we went back to the rooftop pool. The staff was friendly, some English was spoken, enough to get by. The town of Sestri Levante is a charming vacation town, tons of people walking the streets at night, good cafes/restaurants, and there is a cool little secluded bay/harbor a few blocks south and east(inland) of the hotel which does have a small sand beach and is cool to walk at night. Our room was pretty spacious and very clean by European standards. A great escape from the throngs of backpackers and foreign tourists, you feel like you're an Italian on vacation in this town...only downside is since it's less touristy, less English is spoken, so learn the basic phrases in case you need them. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if we ever get to SL again.

Right across the street from the beach, but not sure of the water quality for swimming. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. This old hotel has recently been renovated. There is a rooftop pool with a great view.
