Good location by the port in a quiet area. The furniture and decor are in need of attention to make it a very pleasant place.

Overall the stay was pleasant as staff were friendly and kind, however the apartments themselves have not been updated for a long time. Some of the kitchens need to be upgraded (e.g. very old microwave/grill with inefficient heating element so food takes a long time to heat). Apartments have individual boilers that provide enough hot water for showers but not for baths if there are several people staying. Some of the amenities are very updated, such as a very old TV box system which works only about half the time and needs to be constantly adjusted to get a connection, and wifi that is almost dial-up speed.
Having said this, we appreciated the traditional family holiday atmosphere and we were not there for the technology so we were fine. The location right next to the beach is great and we were pleased to get apartments with a sea view.
Generally a pleasant, relaxing place to stay, and good for the price.

We loved the family apartment. Perfect for a family of four. Great view of the harbor and a little pizzeria around the corner.

Last minute reservation without noticing reception only open 17:00 to 19:00... Eventually found after-hours contact number but had to borrow a mobile phone as I didn't have one. An extremely helpful lady sorted things out and got us our room but about 90 minutes after our arrival at 19:30. Check-in was similar -- I owed 3 euros for local tax but at checkout time of 12:00, reception closed, no one around to talk to, no email address on their website.... Otherwise nice, well-equipped room, pool, possibly hot in summer but temperature pleasant in apartment this week.

Overall, I got what I expected for what I paid. My only big issues was that we had two half rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for two nights. Due to the EXTREMELY limited front desk hours, we were unable to get more from the hotel. Lastly and probably more importantly was the check out. There was no key drop box. We wanted to leave by 5 am and because there was no place to leave my key (my room had been paid for thru hotels.com) we had to stay until 9 which is when their front desk opened. The one staff member we came in contact with was very nice and polite.

Biggest issue with the hotel. The limited front desk service. There is. I one there after 5 so you need to make arrangements before you get there to get your key. GPS was off a bit so it took awhile to find and since I don’t know French it made it even more difficult. Location is a little out of the way and it seemed the town shut down at 7. The room itself was more like an apartment. Two bedrooms on top floor with living space and kitchen on main level. It was clean and comfortable. Once I figured out how to retrieve the keys it was easy to access. Plenty of parking.

Hotel looks nothing like the photos. There was a smell when we entered the room, but this dissipated after opening all the doors and windows for a little while. The place needs a thorough clean. There was someone elses hair on the bedding and I found a toenail clipping on the floor. The decor is tired and looking a little shabby. It needs a thorough refresh really. With the sofabed out it wasnt possible to use the balcony.Clean bedding was provided but not fitted. We had to do this ourselves. The local area, although pretty overlooking the marina, doesnt have much going on and the bridge to walk to Cabourg is currently closed.I wouldnt stay again, but it did the job for a night.

Lovely apartment right on the harbour, a few restaurants right outside. Clean and spacious, would definitely recommend.

The hotel is very well located and the room was very clean and confortable. The only problem I found is that they have too many conditions to read before you arrived, for example, you have to pay an extra cost to have your beds done at arrival, the reception is closed from 12h to 14h, you have to ask for the hair dryer ... Small details but I would like it to be simplier.
Also no kettle in the kitchen.

Reception not welcoming. Bed was less than 25cm from door. Room smelt of cleaning fluid. The 200 euro deposit came as a surprise.

The beds were not made. Basic kitchen facilities such as chopping board, bread knife and kettle are all no where to be seen. Wipe for the kitchen surface was a filthy, grey ( was once white), rag.
On the plus side staff were polite and efficient. Beds were comfortable and clean.

Lovely view over the marina from our balcony. we travelled with two children aged 9 and 12 who loved the indoor pool. (Outdoor closed until May). our two story apartment for six was comfortable and spacious for a family of four, but could have slept a couple more on the sofa bed in living room. we ate at one of the two bistros on the marina, a few metres from the front door, very reasonable and delicious food. 5 mins over the estuary bridge to beautiful long beach and promenade which leads to smart Cabourg. Very quiet out of season but still enough buzz from local restaurants. All in all, perfect base for the many local attractions of Normandy. Our children enjoyed the Bayeaux Tapestry. modern, very practical, perfectly clean and great value for money. great for families; all restaurants very family friendly. Great mini golf on the beach!

The apartment covered our needs and was good value for money, although there was a lack of storage for luggage and food!!! Staff friendly and we enjoyed our stay, family with two teenage daughters!

Great location within crawling distance of many great beaches, houlgate and Cabourg.
Hotel has to pools and good accommodation, however pillows poor and beds very hard but other than this great particularly for families, would have been 5 if not for the beds and pillows

This hotel is perfect if you want cheap, clean, self-catering and spacious accommodation but it is not a hotel. It is more of a hostel that has large functional rooms. There are no dining facilities if you want to make it more of a relaxing holiday and the beds have blankets so do not go here if you are after something more comfortable and luxurious.

Our 2 bed modern cottage was clean, tidy and simply laid out. A small galley kitchen led to the lounge and out to a small garden. Beyond that are the outdoor and indoor pools. Several bars and shops are within 2 minutes walk around the marina and the centre of Cabourg was a delightful 15 minute walk via a footbridge over the estuary river that separates Dives. From here we took our 2 boys to Bayeux and the Normandy beach landings and to the restaurants of Deauville. All are within 45 minutes drive from Dives. Excellent value, no-nonsense accomodation. Can be recommemded.

Good accommodation near to beach and port. Ideal location to explore Normandy. Very good facilities with both indoor and outdoor pools. Microwave/Grill and electric hob provided for self catering but no barbeque.

We visited at the end of October, and stayed in one of the fishermans houses on the complex. There was plenty of room for a family of four. The decoration of the house was very tired, and there was extra charge for towels/ TV. Cleaning of the house was also charged extra or you could do it yourself. We will visit again, using this site. Dives sur Mer is a good base for exploring the Caen area of Normandy, with Bayeaux and the D-Day beaches within easy reach.
