Brilliant

I've stayed here before and it's always been decent. After a very long drive, the guy at reception (with the blacked out sleeve tattoo) made for a fantastic stay. Lovely chat when I arrived, and sorted me out with a pint immediately. Cannot fault his customer service.
2.5
Near the motorway on the way home and very convenient
Meet friend.

Very dated, showing its age . Bed very uncomfortable
Fire alarm went off at 6am
2.0
No fan or iron in the room. Window had a bush stuck right next to the window so insects was coming in.
Communication with staff was not great. Not welcoming
4.0
Great service. One of the best Village hotels ive stayed at
0.5
Overbooked although we had booked a month in advance. turned us away at reception. Ruined our wedding night
2.5
Our maid was wonderful on a 2 night stay however the hotel room was very tired. The TV signal was poor, the bed the most uncomfortable I have stayed in. As a regular Village traveller, expected better

Small dirty dated rooms ,

Unfortunately, a poor stay due to staff being abrupt and unhelpful. Put in a complaint, it is yet to be responded to over a month later

My room was not ready when I arrived which was late evening so I had to go to reception to get another room. There were no plug sockets close to the bed and it looked like they had been there but blank plates replaced (probably to reduce power usage by customers. The bar and restaurant were dirty plates still on many tables, I had to clean my table myself. The food was not great and the breakfast was limited no pastries etc.

It was ok.
Really loud if you open the window but no Aircon.
Things like no bedside plug sockets (even though that is advertised) disappointing, everything was OK.

I was disappointed in this location. Not only being double charged for breakfast on one day. But, the sheets were never cleaned or changed out. And, I had to ask for new toiletries.

Room had a funny smell as we walked in, but after we opened the windows this shifted quite quickly. We only had one towel, tried calling reception to ask for a second, no answer, so I went down and asked, but no towel was received. Not a huge issue but not great when two adults are having to share a wet towel after showering. I would return, the hotel is nice, beds are comfortable

Dirty rooms. No air con, and you can’t open a window.
Overpriced for what it is but due to the lack of hotels in the outer Birmingham area you don’t have much choice.

Welcoming and kids friendly 😊

Needs updated. Noisy at night with pub crowd

Horrendous location, not what it looks like in the photos. Staff try to be very helpful but with a poor product, what chance do they have? Food awful, ambience football and sport based, which is, great if you like booming football whilst you eat your meal and, unable to heat yourself think! Bedroom ok, bed very comfortable. Swimming pool lovely. Will I return, never!

Typical village hotel. Room good but very warm (on check out I commented on this and was told I could have asked for a fan). Gym excellent but very busy with local people. Staff were really helpful and friendly

Very nice hotel

I stayed at this hotel for five nighs. The staff were very friendly & helpful & my room was clean & adequate. However, I was not happy about having to pay £5 per day to park in the hotel car park when I was a paying guest at the hotel. Further, I had to upgrade my room to be able to use the hotel gym & pool, which in my view if you are a paying guest at a hotel, you shouldn’t have to pay to park in a hotel car park or use a gym & pool.

Nice place but carpets are filthy, area good parking but noisy.
1.0
noisey and limited facilities
2.5
Good customer service and nice and comfortable rooms

The room was clean, but depressing. The window was small. There was no fridge in the room. There was not any electric car station on site. Breakfast was inedible.
Gym facilities was good, but it comes at a premium.

Amazing… Very clean. Great amendments and very polite staff.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival and later in the evening in the bar. Our room was on the first floor and was very clean and comfortable.
The only negative was the very strong smell of drugs being smoked on the first floor near our room. I appreciate that this is difficult for the hotel to police, but it did spoil the stay.

The hotel is just off the motorway so very convenient for business travel and there were a lot of people having business meetings the bar and dining area. The fitness area was good, lots of equipment but busy. It appeared to be full of local people rather than hotel guests. Food was ok but expensive, the only place to eat with walking distance seemed to be a KFC.

Excellent hotel after stressful day , would stay again
5.0
Lovely hotel, very clean and tidy. Lots of facilities on the grounds. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay excellent. Great value for money. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The rooms have no air con and the room is quiet dark

We didn’t realise it was going to be so loud, clearly a party destination. Probably would have got a better nights sleep at Holiday Inn across the road.
Very loud, struggled to sleep, pillows were awful, very flimsy & felt cheap. Not enough storage, no sockets at bedside table.
Mould around bathroom tiles, especially on the floor. Lots of cracks, marks in the bathroom & bedroom. Room window covered in mould and dust. Even the ‘what’s on’ leaflet was sticky, food stuck to it. Grubby hotel rooms
Staff were all lovely however, just run down establishment.
Breakfast options very limited, watery scrambled egg, undercooked bacon, sausages were small but nice. Potato bits were dry and pretty grim. If you’re a vegetarian you have the option of cereal, croissants, pain au chocolat, toast. Wasn’t a lot of choice like. Felt like hunger games haha! Didn’t bother getting food at the hotel either evening as was expensive and didn’t fancy being disappointed.

Mattress for me was hard

Bathroom is outdated, and really not clean enough.
The toilet was disgusting.
Is it ever been cleaned or the guest has to?
That is put me off to return.
Tiles on the floor loose and missing the grout as well
1.5
Seems restaurant in evening and breakfast couldn’t handle number of guests. Food and coffee machine ran out / broken each morning

Super convenient location. Nice gym facilities. Good breakfast.

Enjoyed using the pool spa area and the healthy meals.

Excellent breakfast service and quality food
