Good stay in general, negative was the shower made the entire bathroom floor wet, also the shutters were broken so my room was never completely dark, overall good value for money :)

For one night ok, we had s room on the ground floor to the street with only little daylight due to shutters that weren't easy to open. Else the place was ok, with a nice park on the back and friendly staff

I don't know where to start really. I MIGHT have been unlucky but here we go:
I came in the evening and when I came there was a party going strong. Really, really loud and I could hear it in my room, pretty clearly. The sound isolation was terrible. If someone closed a door on my floor I could hear it. Footsteps outside felt like they were in my bed and the outside areas of the hotel was worn down and dirty (There was a smoking area on my floor, like a terrace, and there was a coffee cup on the table for several hours after I came, even though hotel staff went by)
Though, I might have been unlucky.
WORST of all though, was when I came down the morning after to check out (before I should have, I just couldn't get myself to stay longer) I tell the receptionist that I would like to check out. He asks why and I say that there was a party all night. He says, with an attitude: "No, just until midnight." Baffled literally. I had 60 hours of travel to get there with only sleeping on trains, so I was tired and could sleep through it, but why would he expect people to stay up until midnight just because of a party?
Mind you I stayed here on a SUNDAY.
Completely unacceptable.

The bedroom and bathroom were filthy with mould and water leaks in many bathroom areas. The toilet bowl was stained brown - presumably due to the porcelain erosion. There was no protective cover between the bed mattress and sheet - I darn’t look at the condition of the mattress! (Photos available on request of all - plus more - of the aforementioned points)
For several reasons the breakfast was something else! One of the worse I’ve experienced in Europe.
Everything - room, local taxes etc. - had been paid for when booked online. Watch out for the scam at checkout asking for payment of local taxes!
My wife and I spent four wonderful days in Palermo and five dreadful nights in this hotel! Sicily is a great place to visit for a couple of weeks or more BUT avoid this hotel at all costs!

The view from the room good, toilet needed to be fixed, very noisy at night with weddings going on every night. Reception couldnt or wouldnt do anything about it. Stay there if you need little sleep.

Had to phone owner 30mins before we arrived, so she could meet us to let us in.Trouble finding B & B, too many high buildings, lost gps positioning. Room nice and clean but in a run down part of Catania but then again, there is a lot of run down places in Catania. Breakfast was DIY and the AC didnt work. Had to pay for parking, as a market uses the street on a Wednesday.

A nice hotel in a good location. Our room was spacious & clean with good facilities: fridge, tv, bathroom with shower & bidet, a large comfortable bed. In fact pretty good. The only down side was that we were in the road side which was very, very noisy even with the shutters and windows closed. So insist on a room on the back.
