One evening my wife was listening to piano player in lobby for a few minutes while I took a business call. The doorman told her she could not sit and listen to the piano player because he was paid by the restaurant. So my wife was told she could not listen to the piano player in the lobby of the hotel we were paying thousands of dollars as guests. Remarkably rude. We will not be back.

Very nice hotel in quiet (relatively) San Croce. Very walkable to everything. Clean rooms w views. Great breakfast and service. Only issue was check in - deceptive advertising of kids free but staff disputed vehemently. Although this is likely a US vs italy custom- this should be made clearer (Eg strict registration policy for kids despite free stay w existing bedding noted on web site and other internet sources ) to avoid the significant stress we experienced at check in - in addition to lecture from staff. We did not feel welcomed initially - but - to the credit of the management- they did find a way to accommodate- and this is the bottom line and reason for 5 star recommendation overall. I travel extensively (w st Regis stay on our next stop in Venice just completed) and would stay at Relais San Croce again despite confusion. Check out clerk was excellent on March 14 2023 in early afternoon.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like!
Being able to live in a 15th century Palazzo for several days was wonderful. It was further suported by exceptional concierge experiences especially from Denisa & Anna's genuinely thoughtful and professional suggestions & uncompromisingly follow-through. Best experience ever and I have been to Italy more than 50 times at top hotels, but this was the absolutely the best experience ever. Your business model is greatly needed keep expanding.

Staff were amazing. Location was great. However the ground floor is shared with a restaurant which is not part of the hotel & you’re ushered to the first floor to check in. It is a beautiful old building but it needs an interior design make over. The brown leather sofas everywhere & bare concrete floors in the hallways might be modern but they don’t look very nice. We upgraded to a suite which was spacious but disappointing.

Great property and great staff!

Lady at checkin lied to us that the AC in the room was being serviced and would be fixed in a few hours. A few hours later it was not fixed and we threw found out from other guests that the AC had been broken a day ago and would not be fixed even on that day. They put a fan in the room and expected us to stay in the summer with a fan. FYI - this experience for a so called 5 star hotel priced at 700 euros a night. We fought and left the hotel and checked into a real 5 start hotel that didn’t lie and had air conditioning.

Outstanding lux. Hotel, in a great, convenient location, excellent, very friendly staff.
I wish, however, they'ld get rid of CNN on the list of TV channels.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in Florence, very near Piazza Santa Croce. Walkable to all major areas of interest, but not in a jammed tourist area. Service of the reception/concierge staff was impeccable. They all really took the time to develop individual suggestions and solutions. Worth visiting again.

Great old palace conversion. Check in was great. Check out person was rude on the morning of 7/11… nice room, however, shower leaked, not enough body soap for two to take shower….needs more attention to detail

All staff were amazing especially
Giulia in the restaurant area and the front desk staff. Thanks for making our stay so good.

Beautiful quiet hotel with 24 rooms. Well located but at the edge of the Florence tourist craziness. Excellent service. Delicious breakfast. Try the mushrooms with the eggs!

I loved everything about this hotel and the staff. It is a classy comfortable stay and the location was excellent. We never had to take a taxi for everything was in walking distance. It made our experience in Florence even more magical.

We loved our view from our third-floor room over the rooftops to Santa Croce church, we loved the music room, lovely to linger there. Had a great breakfast. Beautiful style to the hotel. Every staff member completely professional. Great location short walking distance to everything in Florence. Great home base

Did not like the unaffiliated restaurant at your entrance. Dreadful service
It was otherwise a delightful stay

A jump back to the renaissance hospitality

I was thoroughly impressed by the Baglioni Relais Santa Croce. Our room was beautiful, the hotel is historic but full of modern conveniences, and the concierge service cannot be beat. The location also provides a perfect home base for touring the city and is close to some of the best dining in the city. I look forward to returning.

Hotel is very Nice. Restaurant shall be tried. Staff is very good

Appreciate the artful decoration and furnished lounges and restaurant areas. Modern facilities in bedroom. Only one blemish was the inadequate water pressure for showers.
2.5
We had dinner there...excelent service, food not bad, yet the price it was WAY OVERPRICE!We stop having any extras there! The water in the room was SUPER EXPENSIVE, ABUSSIVE!

This place is an actual palace. The Music Room is officially one of my favorite places on earth. The guest rooms are spacious and well-equipped and the service is excellent. Would love to go back.

This was a beautiful hotel with impeccable service. I would highly recommend it.
Our room was on the small side and not a great view. But, if we wanted to pay an additional 120 euros a night we could have had a jr suite. If you want a little more space, I’d recommend to pay the additional.

Good value stay in a historical building. Service was very good and the only 3 Michelin Star restaurant in florence is in this hotel. Amazing decor overall. Only complaints are that the room is quite small while the bathroom is about the size of the room. Also, maybe it is due to the age of the building, but the room feels abit dated.

This was one of four properties we stayed at during our trip to Italy and one of two in Florence. This property and staff far exceeded our expectations. The service was warm, welcoming and the suggestions of the reception staff made our trip far more enjoyable. We initially stayed at the Westin Excelsior in Florence and we would definitely stay at the Baglioni Santa Croce again over the Westin. Anna, Anne Lisa, Dorina and Matteo deserve recognition for their superior service. Our hotel room was large and the bathroom was spacious. It is difficult to travel and be cramped with small counter space to dress, but the entire room (jr suite) was very comfortable. The location was not as close to the Rialto Bridge, but it allowed us to experience a less touristy part of Florence. The area around the hotel had many nice local restaurants, with a Michelin 3-star on the property, too. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We had a perfect experience from check in to check out at Relais Santa Croce. The level of service from all staff exceeded our expectations, from front desk to the bar and restaurant. We will definitely be returning to Relais Santa Croce on our next trip to Florence

Fantastic location (we could walk to all major sightseeing spots), and the staff went out of their way to help us in many different ways! We came as a group of friends for a half marathon and they accommodated our request for two single beds instead of doubles. Views from some rooms was better than others; buffet breakfast was overpriced so we didn’t do it. Loved our visit to Florence!
2.5
Excellent location - walkable to everything. Classic old building that’s been nicely and elegantly renovated.

Charming, helpful staff. My 'Junior Suite' was less of a suite than the one booked for my mother, but with spectacular views nonetheless. More of a large room really, but my mother loved hers. Dinner in Dinner in the Guelfi & Ghibellini (we were the only two) was sensationally good at the first and main course stage, with desert a frankly crashing disappointment. We suspect the chef had gone home after our main course, as a supposed Raspberry Soufflé turned out to be a 'unique to Santa Croce', stodgy pudding accompanied by an overly-complex explanation from an embarrassed Maître d'. Anyway, 1st World problems. The hotel is beautiful, and ideally located.

This was the best hotel we ever stayed in. The staff was SO welcoming and went way beyond to help us. Very classy hotel and staff!!!!
