The Claremont is a great hotel, but the team running the service, housekeepers, bar and restaurant and management, ensure the overall service complements the building and accommodation.
I would like to highlight the house keeping inparticular as a reason to book The Claremont.
We booked a long stay and will not hesitate to do so again.

Smart hotel and great evening meal

Very nice hotel well located. Restaurant staff excellent really nice service dinner food okay. Breakfast really good.
Reception team well some of them don't seem to care about service. Rarely at reception you have to wait for them to come out of their little room. A few of them condescending and not interested in offering better.
Working up a few times by noisy workstaff at the back of the hotel.
Apart from that a nice hotel and as I say some stuff very very helpful especially in the restaurant

Lovely hotel. Staff in the restaurant were incredibly helpful and friendly and deserve a special mention!

Perfect location, conveniently central.

This is a great hotel on the Prom and only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal. The bed was wonderful and bathroom was nice and big. Included breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip! Top choice for our next trip to Douglas!!

Very convenient location. Exactly as advertised.

The hotel was old but on the whole well kept, but our room was small the window was frosted over so no view and only open a couple of inches.
The bed was a very small double bed.
On the plus side the staff were excellent and friendly.
The food was wonderful, cooked to perfection.

Generally good. Spoiled by 6:30am noise from window.

Great location.really nice room with high ceilings and extensive bay window giving views of the promenade and sea .
Restaurant provided good service and food with reasonable prices .
Staff were very professional and friendly.
Lots of refurbishment has been carried giving the place a modern refreshing look .
Only minus issue for us was the noise outside from the street and other rooms making sleep difficult .

Excellent breakfast...plenty of choice and all well cooked

The Claremont is located right on the promenade facing the sea which makes for beautiful views. We paid a premium for a room that had a sea view. Unfortunately because the rooms don’t have air conditioning it’s necessary to open the windows which puts any sleep you attempt to have at the mercy of the very loud drunken people on the street at all hours of the night. We were there for two weekend nights and It was almost impossible to get any rest with all of the noise.
View was beautiful but can’t recommend.

Room was excellent but there was no information about hotel facilities.

Great views of Douglas bay and a lovely walk to the electric train at the far end of the bay and convenient for the ferry terminal, along with the marina.

Great hotel with a very sleek look. Clean and comfortable room and food was excellent.

Lovely Victorian building in a convenient part of town. We could walk to restaurants and the castle in the heart of town. The room was fine except for the fact it faced the street. I was worried about noise but it was mostly quiet. Carl, the owner was always there and gave great advice on things to do.

Hotel was lovely right on the seafront. Very clean, nice ambiance and lovely food. We were given a parking disc for 2 hours between 8:00 - 18:00. Which enabled you to have breakfast before heading out for the day sight seeing. Staff were really helpful and friendly would definitely stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Being a hotel made up of several buildings the trek to and from the room involved several stairs and corridors to get to the lift, not easy on old knees.
Food was excellent and well presented

All over very nice except for the abrupt receptionist, perhaps eastern european, dark hair was on duty Saturday 12th in the morning.
Very unfriendly, in fact to a point rude but maybe that's a regional thing. felt like I was being told off for not seeing the complimentary use umbrella in my room.
No smile, no thank you, no have a nice day! Not sure what she's doing behind the desk...but public relations is not her thing!

Relaxing short stay at the Claremont Hotel. Great location on the promenade. Very good breakfast & evening meal. Well equipped bedroom but unfortunately was far too hot & noisy early in the morning.

Very beautifully styled & clean. Stunning restaurant & comfortable beds

Lovely hotel on promenade. Our rooms had glorious views over the bay. Exceptionally comfortable an d spacious bedrooms, very well appointed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Staff went beyond the call of duty to be helpful and accommodating. For example the night reception staff member almost fretted about how we would get breakfast on our last day as we had an early departure and arranged for continental breakfast, made the hot beverages himself and insisted on up taking away a pack-up! This was a family visit with 3 generations and all the staff we encountered went out of their way to engage with the 3 year old in our party. Especially so in the restaurant, also highly recommended where the adult menu was was substantially adjusted to meet the little one’s dietary requests as she preferred this to the children’s menu. The hotel is clearly set up to accommodate business visitors, but holiday makers like us could not have been more welcomed.

We stayed here on Saturday night check in was great as was the service the room was rear facing not a problem, once we went to bed we could hear the music from 1886 and it was loud, nothing the hotel could of done but the room was so hot even with the fan on full, so we had to open the window. Which was a bad idea due to the music, the bed was hard as a rock and felt like a bed i first had when I was a kid.
