I have been staying at The Originals for 4 nights every month for 1 year, on business. The hotel is very clean and tidy, staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location with parking.

A great place for a stop over whilst travelling through France. Very friendly with secure garage parking next door. Situated opposite the train station with a couple of nice Brassieres across the road. Just a couple of minutes walk to the old town.

We just droppede in and took 2 days in the hotel.
Nice service from the reception, and good breakfast in the room (COVID-19)
Then hotel has a good central location but the area was calme... very good for us.

Lovely room with good sized bathroom. Only downside is no restaurant in-house (only for premier business bookings), but there's a Tabac next door that's open until around 6pm ish for getting drinks & light bites to eat, or there's a restaurant next to the Tabac. Also no parking! You have to park on the street outside & pay €6 per day approx for parking - luckily we went on Bank Hols so parking was free.

Simple, clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. Like the full wall art too; gives each room a little character.

Good location for an overnight stop - short walk to the old town area.

Reception area and corridors are uninspiring but the rooms are great. Very comfortable, immaculately clean and well maintained. Each one is individually and wackily decorated.
Perfect location, right opposite the station and no distance from the old town.

We enjoyed seeing the changes made since our last visit. Room 110 was certainly different! Bright, airy and spacious, with interesting "Banksy" style decor,we had two king sized beds and an enormous bathroom with great shower and bath. As the hotel is being refurbished slowly there were a few minor omissions such as radiator in bathroom, towel rails etc. but these we were assured would soon be in place. The manager, Fabrice, is delightful and very friendly. Parking is extremely safe and well lit, with plenty of room for large vehicles. There are numerous restaurants nearby and the town centre is a few minutes walk. Ideal overnight stop or base for touring. We did not take breakfast.

ad a very pleasant weekend stay here whilst visiting my daughter in Montlucon. I arrived by train and it was so nice to be able to walk across the road and check in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room clean and well prepared, we liked the art on the wall but I imagine it would not be to everyone's taste!
Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection on offer.

We reported we needed to have a very late arrival. We received a code and clear instructions how to get in and find our room.Excellent organized. The room met all our expectations to a fantastic rate.

This hotel is well located , clean and comfortable but what made our stay extremely pleasant was the wonderful personalised care we received from the couple who manage it .

Although we only spent one night at the hotel, and arrived very late in the evening we found the hotel to be very comfortable and clean.

On first impressions this hotel has a touch of Faulty Towers about it.... Old style reception desk, old wooded stairs, small lift .... But very friendly staff and when you reach your room you will be very pleasantly surprised! In fact the bedrooms are in total contrast to the rest of the hotel. Very modern, rain forest shower in the bathroom and flat screen tv in the room. We had a family room ( 2 double beds) and it was comfy and ideal for an overnight stay.

Room was 'minimilist' but spacious with a big comfy bed. Easy walking distance to old town. No designated parking but parking available in nearby station car park. We were just on stop over but I don't think that Montlucon itself would lure me back for another visit.

Had to wait for a member of staff to appear and then when I said I had a reservation he checked and kept saying 'non'. As it was already paid this was a concern! Luckily I had written confirmation of my booking with me and then I was found. It just appeared that he hoped I would go away and if it hadn't already been paid I probably would have.
Also be wary of the secure parking mentioned by other travellers as this was also not straightforward.

Used this hotel for an over night stop riding back from the south of France. The hotel is a member of Relais des Motards so is really welcoming to motorcyclists. The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful.

it was a pleasant surprise a great hotel at a good price

The hotel was easy to find and although located near to Montlucon station was very quiet.
The guy behind the reception desk was very helpful and suggested that we moved our car from where we had parked it because it was under part of a row of trees and birds roosted in them overnight. Apparently cars get covered with bird droppings!
Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds and an excellent en-suite bathroom with plenty of hot water etc.
We breakfasted from a wide selection of food ranging from croissants to ham & cheese to boiled eggs.
We will certainly consider staying here again if we pass this way

This hotel is very close to the station in Montlucon and within very easy reach of the town centre. The staff were most friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant.
