This is the worst holiday experience I have ever had, the apartment I booked for my daughter and family had a balcony which was unusable due to pigeon droppings, the bath had been repainted and was pealing and then to cap it all my 2 grandchildren were gassed due the a leak from the AC unit…

The room looked better in the photos.

I enjoyed my stay in Menton in this property! The front desk staff (Allegria & Pauline) and cleaning staff were pleasant & helpful. A block away from the beach, the location is excellent with restaurants, shopping and bus stops at your doorstep. You can walk to the Menton train station in less than 10 minutes. Upon arrival, the building is a bit tricky to find as the suites are part of a larger apartment building with full-time residents (mostly older). You should also note that reception has limited hours. My studio suite faced the courtyard and the patio had lots of sun. The interior of the building is a older, but my studio was clean with a kitchenette - well equipped for a one week stay. The bed is actually a pull out couch, so this set-up may not be well suited to couples or families. I would visit this area again and would rebook at a Pierre & Residences property.

Menton is unique!

Nice and clean, great location, but surprised by the €70 fee for my 7# Yorkie. If you like to cook, bring a spatula with you as none was provided.

Check-in is only possible between 17:00 and 19:00, i.e. for only two hours in the late afternoon/evening. During the five days we stayed there, the wi-fi worked either extremely slowly, or not at all. Very strange that the accommodation does not understand that modern people depend on a functioning internet, for important information regarding flights, etc. These circumstances lower the rating, which is a shame, as the property is otherwise in an good location and the rooms are in good condition.

We got everything that we need.

Great location and very helpful staff- loved the city and would happily come again.

Breathtaking view from our room. Kind staff!

Very good value (in March) and excellent position.

I liked it’s central position especially being so close to the station.
I chose it over another apartment because it said it had WiFi. However, if it did, it didn’t work in my apartment which was very annoying.

Great location - and nice, small apartment!
The wi-fi connection was really bad and due to plumber-work the water was cold most of the days.
Nice staff :-)

Good place to stay if you don't need a lot of space. Big balcony facing nice garden. Very close to the beach, city and train station.

Great location close to Beach, Train station and the City. Airportbus from Nice stops just outside P&V/Casino. Small, but newly refurbished apartment with all kitchen amenities. Big balcony overlooking calm park. Really good value for money. Only "negative" thing was the Reception, where the opening-hours didn't match the schedule. Will be back... :-)

Menton is charming, the location is perfect: the beach, restaurants, bakeries, shops, bus to Monaco and Nice - everything is close, just few steps away, and the apartments are clean and comfortable. For one, two or 10 days it is equally good,

Run down and worn out, not clean, rooms not kept or maintained . I reccommend to avoid it.

We arrived a little earlier than the 5pm check in time we were advised on the website - the greeting at reception was fantastic and we had no problem at all checking in. The room was fantastic and a lot bigger than we expected, but check the room sizes on the website before you book which are most clear!
They are self catering apartments so we were provided with more than enought bedsheets and towels for our 2 week stay - the bed was a very, very comfortable sofa bed which was easy to put up and down and the bathroom was very big so for our long stay we were really pleased.
We cooked nearly every night and the facilities and utensils were more than adequate and the kitchen area more than big enough.
Reception is closed for a couple of hours in the afternoon but again, it's all very clear on the website what time they are open.
We had no problems at all in the whole 2 weeks of our stay and we can't thank the staff enough for making our stay so comfortable.

We have been to Menton three times. This has been the best apartment so far. It is extremely close to the beach, perfectly close to bus stops and restaurants. I have had two knee replacements, and one hip replaced, so proximity to all facilities, like the market is most important to me. That the studio had a capacity for three, and while the price reflects the simplicity of the apartment, it is more suitable for a younger couple.

We stayed at four different hotels on this trip, this is the only hotel I would not recommend

The apartment at les Rivages du Parc, Menton, is conveniently located near the center of town, and just a few minutes walking from the beach. The family apartment was small, but to maximize space use, everything needed was available. The apartment was clean but clearly needed some refurbishing. The TV tuner was on and off so we basically did not enjoy much TV, and the technical staff was not available on a daily basis. The place is great for overnight stays when the focus of the visit is to be outside most of the time. In case you need to prepare meals, the basic utensils are available. However, there is no vacuum cleaner and you need to buy your own paper towels and toilet rolls. There is a laundry machine and dryer in the basement, 5EUR/time. Parking (not free) is available but prepare to bring a small car as the spaces are typically small in France, and one has to be an excellent driver to avoid scratches to the car. The room was excellent in terms of darkness during daytime as the shutters made it completely dark, and we could enjoy long hours of sleep, if the neighbors did not drill or banked on the walls in the early morning hours. Also, a good A/C was available. A bus stop Menton-Nice airport was just in the front street. In summary, the place is reasonable for the price level of the area and if the main goal of the trip is to be outdoors, but there are so few amenities within the building that it recommended mostly for short overnight stays.

Hotel in need of renovation, room had 2 x sofa beds but no actual bed! Not great when you've been travelling all day!

It's not fancy. But for the price it's okay. There was what we needed like towels and good space for two people. A bit small if u intend to be 4-5 people. Location is OK with walking distance to most things including the train station -> Monaco.
Be sure to check the hotel information about check-in and out times. It's very limited compared to a normal hotel and will give you a bad experience if you show up at 22:00 and can't get in. Also notice it's a budget hotel which means many kind of service cost extra including Internet access, cleaning during your stay, parking and more.
The concept is you live in a kind of rented apartment with no service. If you expect a normal hotel with full service you will get dissapointed. But as long as you understand the concept it's a good place to stay.

The whole building needs to be closed down. Very dirty, Rooms were very bad with paint peeling off the ceiling and dirty floors. This company have put no money into this building since it opened this is very clear to be seen every where. Building site beside the hotel so very noisy and the build is up a alley way very poor .

A most conveniently situated apartment. Wehad a most enjoyable stay. One or two problems were resolved at the desk to our satisfaction. One of the desk staff spoke no Engiish which caused some dfficulty to us. We would stay here again on our next return to Menton.

P & V may be a reasonably large group (that includes Centre Parcs) but
in the case of LES RIVAGES DU PARC, they are going to have to get their act
together where CUSTOMER focus is concerned. The way that this Hotel
is operated is simply not acceptable......!!!!!!

We were more than pleased with our 1 week stay and were impressed by the amenities and location of this apartment-hotel. A great place to relax, especially in the off-season. Next time we will stay for a few weeks, and we will book through Expedia whose prices are much better than direct with the hotel.
