Staff were friendly. Grounds and salt water pool were well maintained. Additional pool was closed and being refurbished. Meals were a la cart and very good as it was off season. Drinks were very good and service was great. Walking trail beside the beach was nice. Sunsets were beautiful.

The place was beautiful and peaceful. The hospitality was amazing the whole staff were amazing. From the airport to the hotel. They made sure every guest was attend to their needs. The view the mountains, and wait forgot to mention “the iguanas and the exotic birds… the beach was secluded…

Amazing resort. The room was so beautiful. Staffs were very nice especially the manager I forgot her name it started with M she was very nice and accommodating. She gave me a room upgrade, remember my birthday from checkin and wished me a happy birthday the day off. The food was okay 7/10 drinks were great 10/10 and everyone were polite smiling kick to address any needs or issues.

Rooms were clean and nice. Pool area was dirty with lots of cracked tiles. Only restaurant open during stay was buffet where the food was good but very repetitive. A la carte was closed during our entire visit which was disappointing. Staff were friendly.

everything looks good until you are a emergency situation. no doctor at this hotel available. no first aid. and also, no life guard nor at the pools and not at their beach area.. which we were affected by both situations.. we needed a life guard help at the beach which was not available.. we needed doctor at room which was not available when 2 of us got food poisoned.

This place was surprisingly wonderful! I didn’t expect the genuine “service with a smile “ we received. Dilan, Tatiana, Dennis, Josue, and Francisco were amazing! I definitely recommend this resort. The beach is beautiful!

The place is nothing as stated. Very deceiving. When we arrive, nobody greets you or tells you where to go To check in. Staff was not very friendly. When I went to the room, there were bugs on the bed. I reported it and they stated it’s just ants when clearly it was not ants. I took many pictures. Four different types of bugs. They move to different room. I lifted a pillow, and there was more bugs! Tiles Are off of the roof. The place is very unkept. Bathrooms are dirty. The pool is moldy almost seems like a motel 8! Staff doesn’t care! I refuse to stay there requested my money back and they said no refund! Called Orbitz and they said they couldn’t do anything because facility refused to refund. I will not stay in a bedbug infested hotel. They kept my money and I left to another resort called secrets, which was a real five star resort. Orbitz should not sell this type of deceiving hotel.

I really enjoyed the staff at CC Beafront Papagayo. Everyone was very helpful—but I wanted to give special shoutouts to Janil and Josue (the bartenders) who were both so accommodating and personable and made great cocktails. They helped make my group’s stay at Papagayo very fun!
We also used Geovany, the tour guy, to book ziplining the same day and he was able to help us book exactly what we were looking for, and for a cheaper price then what we could find online.
The room that I was staying at was not the most luxurious and was somewhat small, but it had all the necessary amenities (air conditioning, fridge, etc). I wish there was more storage space in the bathroom so my husband and I could put our toiletries. That’s the only constructive feedback I could think of!

Too expensive for what you get in return. The buffet is very limited especially for kids! However, the staff don’t tell you that you can order something from the waiters like a hamburger, pizza, nachos, etc. after 10pm there is no one there to help you at reception; good thing we didn’t encounter any problems or else we would have had a hard time finding a security guard that we never saw on the property. The reception only operates by WhatsApp, there is no phone in your room if you need anything. They don’t tell you how to unlock your room door, they explain you have a code to unlock the door but they don’t walk you through the process.

This resort definitely needs some tlc. It seemed like there were 2 different properties but it was one. 2 pools, one was great w pool bar open (whats expected at all-inclusive) other one bar not open not as well maintained. Broken tiles, ALOT of broken tiles. A weird garbagy smell which in CC's defense was because of the 🦀 crabs that came out in hoardes due to big rain storm . The staff is impeccable and go above and beyond!!! The food was great and you could order food from bar too in off hours. Our room was great because it was on the "new" side but if i had paid for the cottages i would have been really upset. We had a good experience but because theres so much to do in CR we wld probably just get rental car and plain room
However, i want to emphatically emphasize that the staff was wonderful!!! Bring cash and tip them. They deserve it! I wanted to add photos. App wldnt let me.

I like this property because it was close to the beach
I didn’t like the service at the front desk and the towel service
No special vip service was given
Room wasn’t even completed when we arrived
Had to wait for the people to get the room set up correctly
Front desk lacks knowledge of there surroundings
AC was flooding the room but got repaired
The last day we were leaving there was no water supply in the room and no one available to help This was bad

Thank you to the entire team of CC beach front Papagayo. From the time we arrived to the time we left they made my mom and I feel pampered; food is great! And the entire establishment is clean. The entire team is super nice and care about small details. They are professional and caring specially this supervisor named Victoria she was so sweet and took care of us well. I really hope to be back soon my stay was awesome!

The condition of the property was nothing like what I saw in person. The first room I was put in had either spiders or bed bugs and smelled like mold

Had an amazing stay! Staff was so great and loved all the amenities. The drinks are pretty weak but that’s kinda what you get with all inclusive. The food was amazing though!

Quiet, tranquil retreat, wonderful service, food and amenities. We were well treated by the staff. The rooms were clean and spacious, the property was well maintained. Great for traveling with families and pets.

The staff and the location are the positives of this resort. We like how small the property is but the lack of food choices and variety was disappointing. Several days with no buffet due to the resort having low occupancy. There are numerous repairs that should be made in the pool areas and on the buildings. The beach is nice and feels safe. Bring bug spray and spf and go on the excursions. Costa Rica is lovely!

Great propety.

Nasty! Leaky roofs that drip on your bed when it rains. And everyone I talked said the same thing. Dirty pools that need to be cleaned and skimmed. They never skim all the dead bugs and it is covering the surface.Slow bar tender service and not sanitary. Cups left for hours, dirty straws laying around- nobody cleans. Blasting music with the f-word from the pool bars with little kids everywhere. Poor housekeeping - I could go on and on. Literally wet toilet paper on the shower walls- dirt on counters, dead bugs all over the floor. The property itself is pretty, but all the infrastructure is falling apart. Do not stay here- it is gross!

For such small number of guest on property, the staff moved very slow to complete orders. Although it’s all inclusive, there was limited options for food including time and menu options.

Pool was filthy when we arrived , kids couldn’t enjoy.
If low season requires a non buffet all inclusive - it should be noted
Fire alarm was sounding couldn’t sleep - there is no management in situ just a WhatsApp that is not monitored 24x7
Employees were nice and respectful-

Excellent hotel for families with kids. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and they are super accommodating. The hotel rooms are old but well kept.
I will be going back there on my next trip with my family.

Our family really enjoyed the differentiated all-inclusive as it's more convenient than other local hotels. Service was another key point, staff at check in, our restaurants and bars were friendly. Will definitely go back in the future

We had a very relaxing and fun vacation. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was fine and we thought was quite good. Overall we felt we made a fine choice picking this place.
The staff member helping with the beach activities (i.e. kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.) was very cheerful and helpful and make the experiences quite enjoyable.
One small note is that the description of the check in process on the Expedia site was not entirely correct. The site lists that check-in ends at 9:30pm and no after hours check-in is available. This caused us initial stress when our flight was delayed which prompted a frantic call while we were still stateside, but the reception there said someone would certainly be available to check us in when we arrived. Not only did the staff stay late to ensure we were situated, but they also prepared a late dinner which they presented to us on arrival. A very nice touch.

The advertisement for this place is deceiving. The only nice areas at the property are the sections used for photos. Old and out dated. Food is mediocre, SAME LEFTOVERS each day. I was told there would be no buffet because the hotel was not full. 2nd night, ‘buffet’ had 2 salads. I attempted to have some despite the flies over the watered down dressing, lettuce & cheese were hot. Breakfast buffet was actually good. But it didn’t start till 7, if you have an early scheduled tour like we did, you won’t eat. Luckily, my husband had snacks in backpack, so we had something in our belly’s for our day of fishing. Two pools, 2 wet bars, only one open, closed at 5. Drinks were not good at all, I really tried to like one. If you are a beer drinker, this will not be an issue. We saw the bartender washing out a liquor bottle as he was setting up one morning and it had nothing to do with recycling. The room: less quality than a ‘nice’ Motel 6. Spider webs decorate the ceiling, window sills, along with dead bugs. Shower-head was so full of mineral build up, it look old & disgusting. TV wouldn’t stay on because it wouldn’t stay plugged in. Toilet didn’t work, had to walk across property to use one. Bed leaned to the left, luckily we had 2. After 2 nights of waking up sore and more exhausted, we bailed. Changed our flight, checked out early. Last minute check of room for belongings, pulled the covers on 1st bed, killed 2 spiders. Had I pd $100/pd I wouldn’t complain. Not worth $500/pd!!

The warm and friendly service by the staff was much appreciated and made us feel right at home. Special thanks to the restaurant crew under the guidance of Jorge Garcia. Thanks to Victoria, Luis, Jose and the floor managers who were always attentive and ready to help us with a smile. We’re looking forward to coming back.

We had an amazing time staying here. All of the staff were amazing. They were always friendly and helpful. Nature is all around and the beach (Play Panama) is gorgeous. The most amazing sunsets I’ve seen. My don was excited to see iguanas, a variety of birds, and even a couple monkeys in the trees that surround the property. The beach is not crowded but is very nice with small waves and nice sand, and trees for shade.
They have a smaller number of rooms, but a large property with two pools and multiple bar and dining options. This means you never feel crowded or have to search for a chair by the pool. I had a really amazing sea bass at the nicer restaurant one night. The bartender at the pool was very friendly and skilled as well. The resort has a laid-back and relaxed feel, but they are great with kids. One of our servers at the buffet restaurant taught my son a little Spanish at every meal.
We had a basic room without a view, but it was nice and clean with A/C. The property has many rooms facing the beach, and we’ll probably get one of those if we return.
We had a great time and would recommend CC Beachfront Papagayo to friends without any hesitation.

The staff is completely wonderful and this hotel is trying to be a 4 star, but it needs maintenance. However the food was very good and lots of fun items for children like sno cones, ice cream and candy.

I had so many problems with Expedia and the hotel booking our stay. I even called the hotel to speak to management to confirm our family was all set so when we arrived there wouldn't be any issues with the rooms. Of course we arrive and they say I owe another $7,000 even though I had all the receipts and confirmations from Expedia and from the manager. I had booked 4 rooms as there was 7 of us.
Overall the rooms were clean, the beach is open to the public so it was very busy, it was not easy to get a taxi and when you did it was very expensive, the all inclusive was ok only 2 restaurants and one you had to have reservations for. The food all starts to taste the same after 6 days of it. Our family had 4 rooms and we were not all in the same building (they are like condos) so when traveling with kids it was difficult and felt uneasy about having them in another building. The door unlock with a code not a key or wrist band, the exit and entrance to the beach opens with a code. Try remembering all the codes on vacation with 4 rooms and children in rooms. There is an amazing restaurant called the Peninsula about 1 minute up a hill from this hotel and has the most amazing food and views of the sunset. A must see however no one at the hotel could assist in making us a reservation or even knew about this place. The pools were dirty and the grounds were lacking. For as much as we paid I would not recommend this hotel. It was about an 1 1/2 hours from Taramindo.

The staff was friendly. Overall we had a great time. Only suggestions. They need to upgrade few things in the rooms and pool area. Maybe add another indoor restaurant and control the iguanas around the dinning area as they attacked some kids and adults for food.
3.0 / 10.0
Overall we had a really nice time. The weather was in the low 90s with no rain the entire week. We didn’t leave the resort all week. The pool was wonderful and Carlos the bartender was great! Lewis was always available for questions. Sadly the food wasn’t very good and they didn’t have Chardonnay which is my favorite wine. The regular channels on the television were all in Spanish. We were told that couldn’t be fixed. We watched Pay channels in English. We probably won’t go back just because of the food and lack of wine variety.

Most of the time it was peaceful. The beach was just beyond the gate. Staff bring out lounge chairs for you. Kayaking is free. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, clean swimming pools. Great AC in rooms. Food was good. Property needs updating in terms of repaving by the pool.

Very clean. Nice people. Close to beach. Facilities could use an update. More diverse food options.
