The shower did not function as it should, nor did the bath stopper allow water to fill the tub. Called the front main desk at 5:58am and left a message. That said, the wash cloths were awesome!

So, we stayed at this place called Surestay by Best Western on the 15th of November. The check-in was a breeze, and this really friendly guy (I can't remember his name, sorry) helped us out. The room was amazing! It had a view of the ocean and a balcony. We only stayed for one night, though. The only thing that was not the best was breakfast. There were no muffins, no granola, and they didn't even have a full lineup of coffee options, like decaf. But other than that, I'd definitely stay there again, just without the breakfast.

Not our lucky night. We checked in, went up to the room and the keys didn’t work. Went back to the front desk for new keys. Was informed the key code machine has been acting up. The NICEST front desk guy, Sunny ran with me with his master key. Denied access. He had no other balcony rooms available, so we waited 45+ minutes for the Maintenance guy to take the door lock apart and repair the issue. The front desk guy really wanted to remedy the situation. He tried so hard, we tipped him a $20. This morning, I asked the front desk gal if they could reduce the rate to reflect the delay. We had been on the road all da, were tired and it really was an unfortunate situation. She said she couldn’t do anything since we booked through Hotels.com. In my opinion, this is a crappy response.

It was just okay. Not worth the over $200 cost. Unfortunately I had an insomniac in the room above me who was pacing all night long. Because the hotel is old and made of wood, that made it creaky and squeaky and noisy. In the morning they said I should have called them.

Our room door was open when we arrived. The hallway was dirty. The door to our room secured poorly. No way to control the temperature but to open a window. However, as 2 women traveling that did not feel safe. Also, the sliding door had no screen and the door would not lock. Extremely bare bones. Sad because the other Best Western we stayed in the night before for the same price was fabulous. I would not stay here again. I would drive into Brookings or to Cresent City. Skip this one. The clerk at the counter was short. Did her job but it is just a job. Also no elevator and it is multi story. When I asked she did not offer to put me in a room where I would not have to use the stairs.

Just stayed for one night. Check-in was easy. The rooms were clean and updated fairly recently. The door to the room was a bit old and had some issues with the lock, the peep hole was broken out and stuffed with tissue. Walls were a bit thin, and you could here guests faintly talking in other rooms, but it was quiet after 10pm. Location next to the beach was amazing, and made for a great morning walk with views of the rock formations

We had a great experience at this hotel. Beautiful view, pet friendly, and the pool was open until 1145 pm super convenient if you want to watch the sunset before a dip. Our room was very clean and we had a sandy path from the hotel to the beach. The bed was a little stiff for me but i will go back when im looki g for a spot to stay.

The best part was the view from the room with calm ocean sound. There are different opinions about cleanliness by some sensitive people, like carpet dirt and smell, but I was okay with those small things for a short stay. It's understandable that cleaning more is not so practical in this business. It is pricier than hoped, but it may be just a standard to this town. Not knowing other places nearby to compare, I will give 4 stars happily.

Loved that it was a quick walk to the beach, large balcony/room, nice pool/hot tub and quiet. Front desk was not very friendly initially, telling me I couldn’t check in until 4pm, not offering any suggestions on what we could do to kill an hour since the hotel is on the edge of town and not really close to anything. The other staff were friendly and helpful though. Breakfast was a nice option but going around 9am there were out of almost everything both days. Overall good place to stay!

Pictures online are deceiving. Very run down, dirty and old. Paper thin walls, can hear the people above us clearly. No reception/cell service from our room and our hotel phone in the room was broken. The curtains on the windows/patio door are from the 70’s and dont block out the light. No cable TV, got about 8 channels. Only nice thing about this place was the view of the ocean.

I’ve stayed at other Best Western and this one disappointed me. I read the reviews and I tried to give them a chance. I would not stay here sadly. Not clean, not up to date, the breakfast was not so good. It was ok… the dining room was dirty. The room it’s ok and it has a weird smell. If you need a quick sleep and don’t expect to have a nice stay, book it. If not, then I’d probably recommend somewhere else.

The town closes up shop before 8pm so if you are sightseeing and need to eat do this in another town. The hotel didn’t have any towels in the room, the AC was so loud that we had to sleep with it off, and the breakfast just ok.

The room view was nice. The room was generally ok, but the bed was uncomfortable. The place needs to be painted and updated. The sign that says no food can be taken to the room is very disturbing. We paid $200/might and could not take coffee and breakfast to our room??? Overall, I would look elsewhere.

The town of Gold Beach pretty much goes dark for dining options in Tuesday and Wednesday so our fare was the local grocery store deli. That said, the hotel was awesome. Breakfast was great. The room was so nice and the view of the sunset was second to none. The hotel staff catered to our needs for motorcycle parking and were wonderful. Highly recommend of others are looking for a property in the Gold Beach area.

Our room was not clean at all, you easily could see dog hairs everywhere. Bathroom was pretty old Bed’s sheets not sounds clean We were at lower level and you could hear upper level noises all the night— pictures and views sounds pretty amazing but property itself not at all
