Loved the historical features in the hotel and room whilst it still felt modern and updated. Staff were friendly and helpful and the on-site restaurant was great food and convenient - we were even able to take wine back to our room from there even though it's separately operated from the hotel. Room was spacious - though we requested one bed, we were allocated a twin room - not a big deal as the beds were still comfortable, it just wasn't acknowledged that the room preference could not be met. The accessibility of the power plugs in the room wasn't ideal - nothing by the beds or the desk. And a mini fridge in the room would have been helpful. Short taxi or a 15/20 min walk to restaurants in town depending on how far along the main street you go.

This hotel is just a little bit off the main drag in El Calafate, which we enjoyed because it was very peaceful but still walkable. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful; they gave us some great recommendations for dining options in the area and made us feel very welcome during our stay!

Friendly staff, a tasty restaurant on site, easy parking and yet walkable to the city centre, recommended.

Good meal at the onsite restaurant. About a 20 minute walk to town. Very quiet location. Great breakfast. Some issues with our toilet but that was addressed.

Comfy, clean room. The best is the food and atmosphere at the restaurant/ bar. Perfect for an amazing meal after a hike. Very relaxing. The breakfast was amazing! Make sure you leave time to enjoy it!!

Hotel is really good and in a great location - 15’ walk to the city center. Breakfast is amazing and super complete, friendly staff, clean rooms.
The restaurant is own by a different company and you can’t charge it to the room.

This is our second stay at the property. It is an easy walk into town but far away enough to enjoy the tranquility of the area. The breakfast was amazing and we also enjoyed the free geology lecture. I highly recommend this hotel!

This is a cute, welcoming hotel that we loved for our 3 night stay. While it is an older hotel, it’s clean and well kept. The breakfast had a lot of good options and we enjoyed it every morning. It was an easy 10 minute walk to downtown and the hotel offered free bikes to use if needed. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect location 20 mins to airport and 10 mins walk to main street / shopping area. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Lunch and Dinner options could be better. I still enjoyed dinners though. It does look like a very old hotel and could take some upgrading.. Loved the surroundings.

I absolutely love this hotel. The bed was huge and comfortable. Service was excellent. However, someone decided to use the restroom before our stay and didn’t flush the toilet. Another fact was the lavatory was leaking in the bathroom. Aside from that…I would stay again provided they make sure the cleanliness was better than last time.

Front desk is extremely helpful. Food was perfecto!! Beautiful spot and convenient to downtown. Gracias

Breakfast was very good, the facility in the hotel was too old and need to upgraded.

We really enjoyed staying at this boutique property. It was 20 mins from the airport and walking distance from the main market. The breakfast is great, and the restaurant is nice for dinner too - they also pack lunches for a fee for people going on hikes and excursions. The hotel staff were really nice and super helpful - We booked a trip to El Chalten with a private driver through the hotel. Nick was super helpful in recommending and helping us book it - also this is a much better option than booking online through trip advisor. I highly recommend this hotel :)

Friendly staff and a great location to downtown. Far enough way for a quite stay but close enough to walk. Wonderful little lodge.

The setting was lovely and rural with a nice garden and views of sheep grazing or birds congregating. Very close to town and walkable.

The property is quite charming and located in a very cozy location. However, you need to walk at least 20 to min for any restaurants or to buy sundries. Taxis are easy to get and helpful. It is of course a boutique hotel. could use some upgrade in the bathroom terrific front desk went out of the way to help

Receptionists were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about El Calafate and helped us to find some great restaurants. Actual building is an old one but it does have charm to it .

Kau Yatun is far enough from downtown to be quiet, but downtown is easily accessable either by car or by the complementary bicycles they have for you to use. The hotel location is usually first or second stop, both picking up and dropping off, for most tour buses. The restaurant is excellent, as was the daily included breakfast. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We came to this gem for our honeymoon to do the perito moreno glacier ice trekking. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and efficient and the restaurant was fantastic. We availed of the great room service and excellent bar after the trekking to allow us to fully relax. The breakfast each morning was absolutely excellent too. Couldn’t recommend more
