Experience was underwhelming overall. Room was dirty, had a strange smell and had used towels, trash and soaps in the restroom. When I confronted front desk manager Vanessa she swore it was clean. She then confessed she let her daughter in our room prior to us getting there so she could dry off after swimming in the pool. I was stunned upon hearing this and I wanted a resolution. She insisted it was clean and promised things that she later didn’t come through on. I was extremely disappointed, as I’ve never ever experienced anything like this before, it was very unprofessional. This is the last time I ever stay at La Quinta!

We were in Ruidoso to help out my sister with her new home. She lost her home this year to the forest fires.
The staff was outstanding!
Smiley and friendly faces. Sometimes that's all you need at the end of the day.

This hotel is very tired! They are desperately in need of new flooring and decor. The furniture was dirty and retro.
The facets were full of calcium build up.
We probably will opt for another place to stay next time.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly! The hotel was very clean! The only downside was the hot tub wasn't working. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the hotel was fine. You could tell it had been updated in the past few years, but there were still remnants of the old poking through. I felt like things could have been a little bit cleaner - better vacuuming and dirt on the walls and doors cleaned off. Overall, it was fine, but not the level of cleanliness I expect from a hotel.

Dirty linens, towels, sheets. One of the towels clearly had makeup all over it. Walls had stains on them, ice bucket had water in it. Very noisy.

This had to be the filthiest hotel I've ever stayed at. It was so filthy that I went to the store to buy disinfecting wipes and a candle, because it also smelled like mold and mildew. I didn't take a shower for 2 days because the shower was so repulsively disgustingly dirty. Every surface was filthy. The mini fridge was unplugged, so my food was ruined when the ice melted all over everything. Everything. Also, the ice was disgusting and had chunks that I had to deal with before I even put my food in there. It was horrific. And nightmare. And I had the pictures and video to prove it, but this site is not allowing me to upload them.
There were two nice employee, but everybody else was useless.

I think that the hotel has to have only one floor for pets.
They told me that when they run out for pet's rooms they use any floor to book, and the hotel smells dog

Shower pan (so did not use) and inside of toilet disgusting. Bathroom floor and entrance floor needed to be scrubbed.
Top of chest that the tv was on had something sticky on it. Carpet by bedstand needed to be vacuumed. No kleenex in room and little lotion bottle only had a small amount in it. I left a note for the maid but room was not serviced. Positiives--Nice shower chair and desk chair. Check in area and eating area remodeled very nice. Suggestion-pool steps very steep and no handicap chair or slant entrance into pool.

Dirty and Run down
The website states that the hotel will be accommodating to early check-in, which was a lie. We arrived at 1:50 pm and the unfriendly counter receptionist told us he would add us to the “list” and that we were #6. He was not at all accommodating even though we told him we were hoping to check in to get ready for a wedding. Check in is at 3 pm, so we weren’t extremely early.
Room 211
We paid for a Deluxe Room King size bed, and received an ADA room, which was horrendous.
There were serious electrical issues in the bathroom. The light switch was flipped on but no lights came on. You would have to flip it back off and wiggle it back on. The light would turn off sporadically even though it was switched on, and I nearly fell in the dark when I was taking a shower.
The entrance light looks unsafe as there is a gap on the ceiling and the recess light fixture.
The closet door knob was damaged and hung by one screw instead of the three that it had at one time, which made it difficult to open the closet door to hang clothes.
The carpet was filthy with a huge stain as soon as you walked in, and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed.
Worst of all the AC didn’t work properly. We set the thermostat to 66 and it would turn on and run for about 5 minutes then shut off. It was a hot room and it was difficult to sleep.
By far, the worst stay at a hotel ever. For the rate that is charged, anyone would expect much much more.

Slow drain in shower room door did not close without slamming, latch on door broken. Juice machine broken for breakfast. Water in laboratory smelled . Brk bar substandard drapes were gone in dining area. Beds were comfortable staff helpful and friendly

The only great thing is the girl who checked us in, she was amazing. Now to the reality of the hotel stay, the toilet didn’t work so we had to take the back off just to flush. Room was dirty, food from previous guest left in fridge and trash on the floor. Went to wash my hands in the sink and the water smelled like sewage. Bed was hard and pillows were horrible.

I arrived late at night and the front desk was patient and kind. I always appreciate great customer service. The property was quiet and felt safe. Everything was clean and put together. Parking is limited but i did find a spot. I would definitely stay again.

Breakfast menu was really good. Bathtub wouldn’t drain, very poor air conditioning, 1 ice machine for everyone in the place on the 3rd floor, poor hot tub performance no fresh towels in a 2 day stay no maid service at all.

I reserved two king deluxe rooms three weeks ago. Three hours before check in, I was informed that they were overbooked. Because of that, they changed one of my rooms from a deluxe to a basic king. When I asked if I would get a refund since my room has been downgraded, they said no that the room was the same price. It is ridiculous that they downgraded my stay yet expect the same amount of money for it. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. They obviously do not respect their customers.

The surrounding property was not taken care of. It is supposed to be pet friendly but the dog stations were empty of bags so many dog poop all over as well as trash. The ice machine out of service on second floor. The third floor loose tiles by ice station. The elevator on first floor the up button was missing and no documentation of reporting the issue. Very friendly staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Bought 2 queen beds and they gave me a king had to get that fixed then air conditioning doesn’t cool down enough. Had to sleep with sheets only. The ac was so loud when it kicked on it woke everyone up. Not a good sleep at all

The person who checked us in, Vanessa was lovely. She was very friendly and polite. Our sleep was restful. The pillows were very comfortable. Excellent service. The only cons were - the trash was overflowing in front of the hotel but that could be because they were busy and hadn’t gotten to it yet and the bathroom tile was somewhat uneven and should probably be replaced. But other than that, our stay was perfect. Thanks Vanessa for our easy and pleasant check in.

This hotel unfortunately fell short of expectations in several areas. Here's a breakdown of the issues encountered:
* **Uncomfortable Room:** The in-wall air conditioning unit was broken and wouldn't turn on, making the room uncomfortably hot. The window unit provided insufficient cooling and kept shutting off like it was on an automatic timer.
* **Lack of Cleanliness:** The room wasn't cleaned between nights during my stay.
* **Poor Maintenance:** The walls had chipped and mismatched paint, and the light switches malfunctioned, causing lights to turn off after a few seconds. Lamps were necessary for illumination.
* **Unpleasant Odors:** The hallway had a persistent burnt food smell, likely from frequent microwave use.
* **Disruptive Housekeeping:** Housekeeping activities like vacuuming occurred at disruptive times like midnight in nearby rooms.
* **Sticky Breakfast Area:** The breakfast area floor was unacceptably sticky, making it unpleasant to walk on.
**In Conclusion:**
My stay at was unfortunately quite disappointing. The lack of air conditioning, cleanliness issues, and overall disrepair significantly impacted my experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
