A lovely overnight stay for my husband’s birthday. The hotel is full of history and is very interesting. Adams restaurant was excellent.

Incredible service and a stunning venue. Absolutely picturesque.

Excellent facilities and service

Stayed in the "club house", room seemed tired in need of a refresh. The toilet bowl was not well cleaned and hadn't been for some time you could the accumulation of muck where it flushes away, surely a bit of strong bleach would tackle that.
The breakfast was an ridiculous mess from start to finish, had to queue to get seated for 10-15 mins as they didn't have enough tables to accommodate everyone. The staff were run off their feet and would bowl through making you give way to them in the very narrow floor areas between tables. The hot foot was completely depleted in need of replenishment, no eggs, no hashbrowns, no sausages. Poor organisation by the staff here, it can't be that difficult to keep an eye on the levels and have replacements cooking and ready to deploy.
The spa was extremely tired, the wood was falling apart in the sauna, the pool area needed new tiles. My local "everyone active" public swimming pool is more luxurious. Very disappointed.
The redeeming feature - The grounds are spectacular and the main house has a lovely historic character, it's a shame it's let down by the poor organisation, service and quality of the rooms.

Such a beautiful dog friendly hotel, staff are amazing and so friendly

The prices are exorbitant, and the service is one-star hotel standard. Everything is old. The taps are leaking. The toilet is black from dirt and old age. The food is poor. Cutlery and plates of the twentieth century. The staff don't say hello. At the reception, they give wrong information. They gave me a cheaper room than I paid for. Instead of a king-size bed, I was placed in a room with a double bed. I'm very upset.

Beautiful property and accommodation. Everything was perfect for 4 adults and 1 child. We had two rooms which were very spacious, well anppointed and clean. Had the full breakfast every morning of our 3 day stay. Dinner one night. Delicious food and excellent service in the restaurants. Excellent service at the front desk also. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout.

The service here is outstanding, very friendly staff willing to go above and beyond to assist you in every area. We were offered an upgrade due to being on crutches which was greatly appreciated and our room was beautiful but perhaps a bit basic in comparison to similar hotels we’ve previously stayed at. The junior suite does have a separate sitting area which would be wonderful on a longer stay. The grounds are stunning and our bed was very comfy and we had a good nights sleep despite there being no air con in the mansion itself (provided with fans that did a good job tho). The biggest disappointment for us though was the breakfast. Breakfast was included in our package but the service we received was terrible. We waited 30 minutes for coffee to arrive. There were no clean glasses, no clean plates, the spoons tasted of metal. It was just pretty disappointing given the cost of the stay and the fact that we’ve stayed at premier inns with better breakfast!! Apparently the fact we were upgraded means we should just accept the poor service- this is what I was told when I made a complaint! We wouldn’t stay here again on balance, as I can say we felt the staff were brilliant and it had lots of positives but the breakfast and customer service really let the hotel down.

Grand hotel in beautiful grounds. The pool and leisure areas are well maintained and good quality. We had lunch in the brasserie and dinner in the main restaurant and both were very good. The tasting menu in the restaurant wasn’t Michelin starred level but was still very good cooking and both food and wine good value for money. Service was mostly very good aside from a few moments. The lounge area was a little tired but still ok, we sat mostly on the outdoor terrace with nice views
4.2
Great service and staff. Nothing bad to say, some things like sink taps and pool chairs need replacing but otherwise spotless and lovely atmosphere. Shame the rock garden was overgrown.
4.2
Stunning hotel. Amazing views and gardens, love the history. We also had a tiny deer outside our patio 2 days in a row which we loved
4.2
Gorgeous hotel, very well maintained throughout. Stunning grounds. We had a fabulous stay

What a greeting from doorman Chris as we arrived !! So full of knowledge and stories about this historic property. And then the Reception staff could not do enough for us - absolutely first class and made our stay with an 8mth old memorable.
Slight disappointment with the room service team - comms weren’t great and food arrived 1.20hrs later, and wasn’t good. But likely a very busy night for the kitchen. Breakfast service made up for it and was wonderful. Plus we swam and played golf - all superb! We’ll definitely be back !!

Beautiful old style hotel in amazing bulding on magnificant grounds.

We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday with a 2 night stay at The Luton Hoo. The experience from start to finish was nothing short of exemplary. Our suite was incredibly clean, comfortable and luxurious, the spa was fantastic and the food was excellent. But the thing that stood out the most for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Every single one of them was polite and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Would highly recommend.
4.2
Absolutely gorgeous especially for the price! Only wished I could’ve stayed longer to enjoy it more thoroughly. Service is swift and polite, even in the middle of the night. There is parking available. Would definitely come back and definitely recommend.
Lovely courtyards and greenery, vintage room interiors, rest of hotel is very grand and luxurious, every corner is perfect for photos!
The whole place is surrounded by greenery so there’s nothing really in walking distance. You can get uber though, including food delivery. Would recommend taking a car with you if you’re looking to go out and about, unless you plan on staying at the hotel mostly then you don’t need one.
But overall, wonderful experience, no regret!

£350 for a deluxe room in the mansion house which was essentially a junior suite—a really big room. Stunning property so good value for money.

Awesome

This place is always lovely to stay, unfortunately we were let down with the restaurant booking due to Easter. Having said that we were very nicely compensated and had what was a fabulous meal in the alternative restaurant. The staff are all exceptional too, the room yet again blew us away. Pure class, luxury witb beautiful surroundings. Luton Hoo is my favourite hotel.

I like the beautiful historic building and landscaped parkland. I didn't like the additional charge of £50 per night for a child bed that I wasn't informed of when I requested one. I also didn't like the fact that the pool could only be used by families with children at specific times - again I was not informed of this before I arrive. Also, the restaurant and bar closest to our room was closed throughout our stay for no apparent reason which meant we had to eat out both nights.
4.2
Fantastic service. Staff were very accommodating and really went the extra mile to make my family feel welcome during our stay.

We did have a lovely stay at Luton Hoo. We've started before and the views, staircase and dining room still takes the breath away. However it's really showing signs of wear tear now. Plus the staff, although all very friendly, clearly need some quality control. At dinner the maitre d, was clueless when it came to champagne. I asked for VC (I dont think he heard of it) but they had none. So when I asked hm to recommend one, I overheard him say to the waiter "Err is this is a good one?? Dinner was delicious. But...they forgot about broccoli and no salt and pepper on table. This was a regular occurrence. Breakfast same thing. Spa is also fab. But if you are going to call yourself 5 star, these little make all the difference. Trust me im in the service industry.
4.2
Beautiful building with a lot of history. Dinner it was terrible, we had a crab linguine that was all mashed, unbelievable presentation, it looks like a dog food from a can, and we also had a caesar salad, but the chicken was totally bland with no salt al all, sauce was not caesar salad sauce, it was some oil, and the bread croutons were so hard and oily, impossible to eat.
The wine glass on the table was dirty.
Cocktails were like a 5 year old child made them, I was shocked.
The bartender was very nice, we met him later on, I just think he was not properly trained and he didn’t know what to do or how to do, or the hotel is not looking after the quality level.
The feeling that we had that the hotel management is relaying on the history of the place and ignoring the quality. It is riding high on its historical events. Spa area is nice, beautiful roof, but is outside the hotel building and they provide a transfer.
4.2
Its noot 5 star. Very very expensive. Not worth the money. Pool was cold. Food average but extortionate
4.2
Reception and check in was quick despite a wedding party seemingly taking over the main house. Staff friendly, efficient and polite.
Our room was in a building a short walk / drive away with its own parking. The room was huge, clean and comfortable, with a good size ensuite with both bath, shower and twin basins. Temperature control was good too. The only thing lacking in the room was a USB charging point but I could manage a night without.
Dinner in the Adam’s Brasserie - lovey starters, steaks cooked to perfection and friendly polite service (thank you Cole !)
All in all a lovely place to stay

The staff were lovely!
The service in the bar was quite slow, and the room was VERY VERY hot.
Everthing else was ideal.

Excellent facility, friendly staff !!

Shower broken dinner a disaster

Very spacious, overall a great experience, would go back.

Great hotel with amazing facilities and staff. They treated the children so well with so much respect and care. Brilliant pool and we really enjoyed cycling around the amazing grounds 😊

Helpful knowledgeable staff.
Comfortable.

First of all it’s a beautiful old property with lovely grounds. Clearly at some point in time it was a fantastic mansion house however it’s now in desperate need of renovation or very least some paint, new furniture and TLC. The whole building is tired, our room was huge however really needed a deep clean and a good paint - everything in there from the iron, to the bathroom is dated. The staff are very friendly and do the best they can I’m sure. Would like to see the property bought back to its former glory…
It’s convenient to Luton airport set in lovely grounds and given there is not tons around we would probably stat again but put some money back into this property and it would be much appreciated but all I’m sure who stay there.
4.2
Our flight was cancelled out Luton and the staff at this hotel couldn’t have been any more understanding, more welcoming and more professional. Credit to themselves.
4.2
Overall enjoyed our short group break. Staff were friendly polite but on few ocassion hard to get hold off staff via in room telephone and their normal phone line. Breakfast service was good, would have liked to have visited their restaurants more for conveniance and better experience but due to limited dietary choices we drove out to nearby restaurants on some days

To say the Luton Hoo was disappointing is an understatement. Our room in the Mansion House was very nice, with a balcony overlooking the grounds - which unfortunately we were unable to enjoy due to the weather (not the hotel's fault, of course). But the restaurant...Oh, the restaurant! The Werner Restaurant was closed (evidently it is just closed on Mondays), so we dined in Adams Brasserie...very disappointing! My husband and I dined with another couple. Both of the men in our group are former chefs at Luton Hoo. The two women had the halibut, and it was truly excellent. The men's meals were another story, however. My husband ordered a steak "medium rare," and it was terribly overcooked - well-done, even. He sent it back, and it came out overcooked *again.* He would have sent it back again had we not had guests with us! Our male guest ordered Bang Bang Chicken, which he said was dry and tough and fairly tasteless. Breakfast the next morning in the Werner Restaurant was absolutely nothing special and grossly overpriced for what it was. My husband was highly disappointed, as (he says) it used to be *very* grand. It seems to have gone downhill in the last few years.

Golf area amazing. Mansion house and staff excellent. Waiting staff in the country club not so good. Didn’t have orange juice, slow service. Overall very nice

Staff were so friendly and went out of there way to make kids happy, pool was lovely and clean you can only use certain times as a family but worked for us. Rooms were big and very clean. Food was delicious in adams restaurant. Grounds were lovely too. We really enjoyed our stay

Terrible experience. Staff were extremely rude and made me and my family feel unwelcome. Wouldn’t recommend. Breakfast was terrible too.
