The staff are friendly, the hotel has a trendy Mexican theme, is cheap, clean and basic. For what you pay you can't complain.

Lovely room and service. Could do hooks on bathroom door, with rug on bedroom floor plus shower head hose needs replacing and to make it really eco friendly fix dripping taps!

Nice hotel, close to amenities. Staff were friendly and room was comfortable

Hotel was tired and old fashioned looking. Bathroom not in a good state and not very clean. It needs updating. Started cushions for pillows

Nice little boutique place - simple but comfortable rooms. Basic breakfast which I didn’t really bother with, but seemed nice enough. Shared bathroom between three rooms but wasn’t an issue. Can’t argue given the good location and the fact it was half the price of a Premier Inn. Will definitely use again next year.

Room 1
Bed squeaks with every movement
Mattress needs replacing, felt springs, was very uncomfortable.
Heard every noise from rooms next to, and above walking around, tv noise and alarms in the morning.
I’ve been here a few times and although this is a cheap alternative I felt this time was very uncomfortable.
I also had to wait outside in the cold for 15 mins as no one was on reception to book in. I pressed the reception button - no answer, I rung both telephone numbers - no answer.
It was freezing so it only got worse when the quality of the bed was poor.

Staff were great and really helpful .The common areas were a little tired and could be cleaner . I stayed in three different rooms including a single without facilities (which I would not recommend ). The doubles were comfortable and clean though needed TV systems upgrading . Overall this hotel was the best of a small choice of hotels within walking distance of Kings College Hospital .

Good hotel. Well situated. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. No tea and coffee in room though. This was only complaint. Being taken over by OYO. Hope they don't ruin it

Toilet was terrible. It was dirty and was not cleaned so we ended up using the one near the lounge area which was 2 floors down from our room. The whole place was dark as well, not enough lightings in the hallways and inside the room.

Lovely stay in a quiet room, with lovely interior design. I had a room in the house corner with a street view of Church Street in Camberwell. Good bus connections that took me to Brixton where I worked for a week. Thanks a lot for such a cosy stay. I will come back

This was a last minute booking out of necessity and I was pleasantly surprised. I have stayed in more expensive places and got a tiny box room. This was a decent size and I loved the old tiles in the bathroom. I didn't try breakfast. Down side stairs and nothing nice out the window but I would stay again

I loved the decor, and loved being able to help myself to very good coffee and tea. I didnt have the breakfast it looked very nice though, simple but nice products. I liked that i had a sink in my room, shared bathroom was clean and i never had to wait. Lovely toiletries. Lots of nice places to eat on same street. My only criticism was my bed was very creaky and i would recomend ear plugs. Overall it was lovely and as a lone traveller it felt safe and if in the area again i would definately stay here again.

We were given a room on the second floor and as there is no lift they agreed to move us one floor down. It is a quaint hotel but unfortunately has quaint stairs which I found quite difficult.

Fantastic hotel and would definitely come back. As a previous resident of the area I can see past the problems of the area. But saying that, the hotel made me want to come back and live in the area.

Told there was no onsite parking on arrival and there was a secure carpark 5 minutes down the road. Wasnt secure at all!
Then hit with damage waivers of £50 per room which will get refunded between 5 to 10 days.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my mom. The room was no frills, but clean and comfy

Great price, super clean room and shared bathroom with nice toiletries. Weird decor inside seems to be going for kitsch on a budget. Loud carpets and medieval-style doors, not really my thing. Room was too hot with no fan or air con and very noisy, being on Camberwell's main street. Was given a code to enter late but I deleted it from my phone. No late receptionist on duty, presumably to save money. So had to call a number and it took ages for them to figure out how to open the door.

It was a nice hotel for the price and area but there was a few issues with the quality of the building.

Room had not been cleaned from previous night.
Hotel did not answer calls prior to arrival.

The hotel is on a fantastic public transport route and has lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby; however, the road outside can be noisy during the night and in the early mornings.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, provided me with all of the information I needed at check-in and also helped me with some bus travel routes.
I had a single room with a shared bathroom. The room was small, but well laid out with everything I needed. However, the bed was really quite uncomfortable - the wrought iron bedframe squeaked with every slight movement I made and I could feel the springs through the mattress - it seemed like a case of style over comfort (and in a hotel I much prefer comfort!)
The shared bathroom was just opposite my room. It was fine - although there was quite a wait for it a couple of mornings! As a single female traveller, something that bothered me slightly was not having a peephole in my room door - I would have like to quickly check the corridor before I went out to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It's not a big deal, but I was aware of it. Another thing is that with several rooms having shared bathrooms, it can get a bit noisy with room doors being opened/closed during the night. The rooms all have heavy yale-style locks that 'clunk' closed quite loudly. If you are a light sleeper - bring ear plugs!
Overall, the hotel has a great look and feel and a nice location - but not super comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The only cavaut that I have is that it doesn't have an elevator. The staff is very helpful offering to take my suitcases up and downstairs. Which I feel bad in asking them to do. Besides that I enjoyed my stay!

Good hotel, single room at the top of hotel, very hot room had to sleep with window open and top of bed but wasn’t an issue. Breakfast ok nice whole meal bread and cereal, but had run out of certain items. £8 a bit pricey. Bonus on 36 bus route which is 24hrs.

There were many insects throughout the room including the bed. It was very unpleasant

Bed very uncomfortable. Tons of stairs. Decent neighborhood.

This was a nice spot for the location and price! It was nice to have a sink in the room and a shared bathroom very close to our room.
I do warn that there are many steep and narrow stairs with no lift, so this building is very unfriendly to those with mobility problems.

Fun and Funky Place! Was a great stay for after Wide Awake Festival. 40 minute walk from the Festival Site. Comfy Bed and great amount of space :)

Unique displays of Catholicism which were delightful.

For a budget hotel this is pretty decent. The shared bathroom would put people off but I never found it an issue. You have sink in your own room, a shared breakfast area and even an honesty bar. Bit of a hike back to the tube but there are plenty of local buses that pass right outside the door
