Beautiful location. Great stagf. Lots of things to do. We will be back in the summer.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location! Highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again.

Was a short stay, but very roomy and nice amenities

The hotel was really nice but the water park was the reason we booked the hotel and it was closed. They did not offer passes to anywhere else with at least an indoor pool and hot tub, which we have seen other hotels do. Staff was kind bit not super accomodating. We did some of the kids activities that the itinerary said could be charged to room or take cash and they refused cash. This hotel had really nice suites with kitchens, you would think they would have recycling since you are getting your own groceries.

We stayed one night with our 2 adult boys. Today we received a voicemail that accused us of multiple bites in the wooden mini blinds. We have called twice to talk with Pricilla who is not available. We had no pets or children. This is fraudulent as well as insulting and we are extremely upset about this accusation against us. We have traveled for 30+ years and have never had any problems with our stay in various places. We would never recommend this place to anyone.

The condo was very clean. Front desk was very helpful. Beautiful location. Would stay there again and bring more people. Best little hideaway.

The resort is beautiful and the room was way nicer than we expected. I would definitely stay here again

We liked the property. The staff was nice The room was great. Bedroom, two full bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining room, Living room with pull out couch. The balcony was actually a full deck with half screened in for bugs at night. The resort was nice but was disappointed that the indoor water park was shut down for repairs. We were told it would be finished before we arrived. Also Hilton talks you into a timeshare meeting when you check in. They offered a free weeks hotel stay but it’s through a third party company that has so many extra charges and conditions that it’s not worth it. Otherwise we had a great stay! It was in an ideal location with many activities. Would stay again for the right price.

We will definitely be back. Our room was just beautiful. The kids loved having their own private space upstairs in the loft. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to cook, from dishes, pots, pans, utensils and even dishwasher pods. We loved the outdoor pool and the private beach parking was ideal.

Needs a restaurant.

Staff was absolutely incredible to us, this resort has everything, from volleyball, basketball, a pool, cornhole, even an arcade..Absolutely recommend and will be going back

The resort location is beautiful, set in a forest area, the rooms are spacious but barren. Plenty of room for a king bed and small couch in the bedroom. The living room had cheap furniture and the kitchen had no overhead light. At $345.00 for one night, we were disappointed.

Stayed multiple times…first time I experienced mold in one of the bathrooms….outside pool walls were filled with algae…although after contacting the desk housekeeping did come and addressed the mold… it was a half hearted attempt.

This place was amazing. The suite was large and perfectly decorated and supplied. The kitchen was clean and had lots of items to use.

Walls are thin, could hear everything neighbor's saying. One morning we had no hot water. Neighbor's smoking weed. We were given a flyer for the pool bar that never opened. Indoor pool under construction, which we knew. No coolers allowed at the pool. No food sold on property, which forced me to leave and spend my money elsewhere. Overall not a bad place. Nice outdoor pool. Beach access parking.

READ REVIEWS. We booked a “2 bedroom suite” which is actually 2 full apartments. 2 kitchens, 2 dining rooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms…all for 2 adults and 2 kids. My kids slept in a different house. This all would have been fine if we were aware of set up beforehand.
Cockroaches. There are cockroaches and apparently, according to the staff, this is completely normal. This does not seem like a good look for the “Hilton” name. Some are teeny tiny and some are the ones you see in the movies, 2 inches. I wish I was exaggerating, they’re big, creepy, and apparently fly sometimes. We changed “suites” once, and probably would have again if I wasn’t certain they would be in the next.
The pool is amazing…but don’t try to use the poolside bar Tuesday or Wednesday because it’s not open.
Overall, I WANT to come back but we’re skeptical. There were a lot of big cons to keep us out.

Properties are dated but the experience was great none the less.

The rooms and facilities are very dated and they need to manage their pests. The door to our unit had a black widow spider on it and was covered in webs. There were cellar spiders in every corner of the shared hallway and on the ceiling in our living room. The pools were unheated and they didn’t really have any facilities beyond a gym, pool, and small bar/food area outside the pool.
They do have a parking lot next to the beach, which is convenient that uses your room key to access. Kitchen in the unit is updated, but the bathroom received a minimal update.

It feels absurd that they charge over $400 per night for this place. For $200 it would have been fine, but $400 is crazy. It is old, the exterior looks like it was built in the 80s and hasn't been upgraded at all since then. The water is horrible beach water and there is no water filter. The TVs have no streaming or casting ability. At every turn we felt disappointed. We would never think of going back.

Even though they were under renovation, my family still had a good time. The back gate to the beach was very accessible, with easy parking. Feeding the turtle, using the indoor gym, and enjoying the outdoor pool were great.
It is very close to all the supermarkets, including Food Lion, Walmart, and Harris Teether, for those who do not want to eat out due to having a lot of mouths to feed. :)
Overall, we are coming back to the beachwood again.
Please call in advance to ask for the bottom floor if you have kids under 12. Quiet hour is from 10 pm to 8 am.
Laundry is free; bring or buy detergent.

The staff were very nice and contacted us throughout to see if there was anything they could do or help us with. Facilities were clean and plenty of different things to do without leaving the resort's facilities. Lodgings were clean and very secure.

It was pretty & love seeing the turtles. But the waterpark was closed there and I didnt know that prior . & spent all that money to stay there.

Very dirty. Water park closed. Little friendly and service minded staff, except for the manager.
Not regular Hilton standard.

It was ok. The stairs were falling apart. The indoor kid pool was rusty and paint coming off - not to mention the main attraction slide was closed. The arcade was closed. I expected more.

Awesome place. My kids loved the pool

We needed a bed for a good size group and this was what was available. Wish we'd had time, the amenities look amazing. Beautiful and peaceful area.

I definitely love the staff in there. Very good family safe place love the cottages.

Not as advertised! Large pool slide closed, game/arcade room closed, pool “bar” closed & 4pm and not a true bar, 2 draft beer taps only! Concierge service not available and staff unable to answer any questions.
The “room” was very nasty with old, dirty carpet, and no housekeeping services. Roaches and roach traps visible.
We didn’t even unpack and left shortly after arrival, taking the chance we could find other accommodation's.
This place looked, smelled, and felt like a retirement village! It was apparent the staff had not been trained in the hospitality industry explaining, “we were just bought out by Hilton” last week”.
I’m very appreciative however, that we were able to get our money back! I do hope things turn around for this place because the main entrance into the club is gorgeous and it does have potential, just not right now.

The resort was incredible. Spacious suites. Clean kitchen area. Amenities were great.

Overall, the hotel was a good location, the rooms are recently updated and nice. The floors felt dirty but other than that it was clean. The pool is nice and for us it was convenient it was right across the street. I’m not sure how other people got there from their rooms it seemed far to get to for some. Our son loved the pool, we loved the bar at the pool it was great. In our room there were a LOT of bugs - but the hotel is in the woods so that is to be expected - little spiders and little bugs didn’t bother us. But what did it for us is when we first got there there were carpenter ants in the hallway. And then we found 2 cockroaches (thankfully towards the end of our stay) we told the staff and they said they’re in the woods so there’s not much they can do about it but they would notify maintenance to spray. I think they need a full blown exterminator in there - more than just spraying. So now when we get home we need to clean all of our clothes, even the clean ones and make sure no cockroaches crawled into our suitcases. There are many great reviews, I chose to ignore the reviews about the bugs bc as I said, it is in the woods. I wish I didn’t. I can’t say we would return. We will return to OBX but not to beachwoods.

Nice staff, great location, but the place is full of mosquitos, all kinds of bugs, and even snake... Can't feel the safety after seeing that and checked out quickly...

The staff are friendly and amazing. Everything you need is close by. This resort is a hidden gem. We decided to make it our yearly family vacation spot as there are so many things to do.

Nice place. Unfortunately we were there only for a day. I would like to stay there for a week and get a better review

The Beachwoods resort offers a lot of amenities for their guest. It is children friendly with activities for all ages. The gated resort is safe and secure. The villas are clean and maintained. I highly recommend this as a place to stay that offers more than a standard motel. It offers you an experience.

Took my family for a short getaway over Memorial Day Weekend. My children (11 & 14 yo boys), had a fun time. It wasn’t crowded at all. We enjoyed a nice evening on the paddle boats and playing ping pong together. While there were several things for them to do, they were upset that the large green slide and arcade were closed. I was not informed of these closures until AFTER I booked a non refundable stay. Also, there was a dryer issue (I think) and we had to reuse our wet pool towels the whole stay. Nice place, but wouldn’t come back until all amenities are functional, especially since there is an additional $30/per day resort fee.
