Good place for a quick stay

Clean room. Comfortable beds. Friendly helpful check in. Quiet. About a mile or less down the road were lots of shops, places to eat. Mikes ice cream was yummy. Breakfast and coffee at Dog River Coffee was wonderful.

Old dated place with minimal services .

Expensive for what it is, but at least it was clean.

The pet friendly room was very clean and right next to a decent sized pet area outside.

Not bad for budget Motel accommodations. Stayed one night, the room was clean and serviced. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the air conditioner worked. Got a decent night's sleep.

Sunset Motel was clean and modern. The room was small, no breakfast, pool or spa, but for the price we were pleased.

Very clean and front office person friendly and efficient. Quiet and good parking.

Pretty average hotel. No daily maid service and in spite of the name, no view from any rooms. Good parking and fairly clean.

Decent motel at good value. You can tell it's one of those places where it was probably pretty run down at one point but they've painted and renovated it. Mostly did a pretty good job on that and beds are comfortable. Check in process is far too lengthy for a long day on the road and front desk staff was rude.

Quiet

Room was clean but very small. We had a room with 2 beds and the space to walk to the bed was a few inches from the wall. The room has a desk, TV cabinet and bench. Some of this adds to an overall cramped feeling. The room was cheaper than other options and worked ok for us as we did not spend much time in the room.

The property from the outside, look like it had been renovated, but once we got out room, NO. Dirty, room was not clean, stains on the bench in the room, bed spread looked dingy, there were swirl marks on the head board from a bad cleaning, the floor was sticky, the room was dark, nothing like the picture at all. the bed was suppose to be a queen room, a queen bed is 60" in width, this bed was 55" with the blankets on it, which means it was a full bed not a queen because a full bed is 54". I questioned them on it and they denied it. We were there for a wedding and needed to get into the room a little early, there was NO ONE there, the parking lot empty, they let me pay at 12:30 but was not given access to the room until 2:pm and once we got in, we didnt even unpack the bags, left everything in them, changed for the wedding and had to leave right away to not be late. We talked at the wedding about staying there and neither of us felt comfortable with it at all. We left the wedding early, gather our things and told them we are leaving, the room is gross and they said nothing, took my keys and just said ok. NOT can we get you another room, can we fix this, nothing. Thought because i booked with Expedia I needed to get my refund through them and work with them, BUT, i learned the hard way, i paid the hotel when i got there, so NO, I was at the mercy of the hotel and then fused Expedia request twice and lied about when we got the room.

Clean and comfortable place to stay in Hood River. Friendly staff were able to accommodate an early check-in, which was very much appreciated after a long car ride.

All the positive ratings we used to make our decision to stay here were true. Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, quiet. Would easily recommend to others.

Short but great stay. Convenient to so much Hood River has to offer!

Just finished submitting Mt. Adam’s and was eager to lay down at 3:30. Room was not ready. Official check in is 4:00 so I guess I can’t complain. Went and ate dinner and came back to a lobby full of people trying to check in with only one guy at the desk. It took forever. I worked a hotel front desk for years, guy could have swapped my room when I was there to check in, he just didn’t want to bother. Vending machine took my money and when I went to the front desk, the guy played the “it’s not our vending machine” card! Really!!! Be better Sunset Motel. I did get my dollar back but it was an argument.
