There is no restaurant to sit down with the family to eat a decent meal (breakfast or dinner) There is a general store that offers small breakfast items and finger foods. The young lady that worked the evening shift appeared less than thrilled to be working with a scowl on her face. Also, they were out of fries, chicken fingers and burgers. We arrived in the early evening and had to order pizza (which we had to go pick up as they didn't deliver) which overall didn't help appease a bunch of hungry kids. The hotel check-in /out ladies were wonderful!! I probably won't stay here again because: 1. no place to eat. 2. No coffee in the room. You have to drive 4 miles in to Boulder City to find somewhere to eat.

Easy access to trail to dam(couple miles to dam?) and views of lake.
4.1
No coffee in room or ice on the floors and the hot tub was broke which was the primary reason for choosing this hotel
4.1
The best thing about this hotel is it’s probably one of the closest to the Hoover Dam, 10-15 minutes drive away.
Whilst the rooms were clean, the bed was old and didn’t provide much support and the air conditioning was noisy.
The various places where you can buy hot meals, which come in disposable boxes, are full of gaming machines, not the experience I was looking for.
We paid extra for a lake view room and wished we hadn’t this isn’t that close and the lake could only be seen by looking sideways to the left, innocently, I’d expected it to be in full view from the window.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Good

Tv stunk. Minimal stations. Room was out of date. Food places in the casino didn't have a lot of the food on their menu. Room was very large
4.1
Helpful, friendly lady at the front desk in the morning checkout compared to check in lady. Toilet issues - Flapper needed replacing but still did not work correctly after replacement. Shower dropped for 45 minutes after showering. Rooms were clean but needed remodeling. Rippled bumpy carpet in the hallway.

This hotel was super cute. I was a tad anxious based on demographics but all was good. The hotel has places to eat and the servers at that new orleans inspired one were terrible, they didnt even try to help me and my family so we went to the la villa for mexican food and that server was such a doll. He was by himself and still treated us better than the 3 at the other place. Overall view and room was great. I had a decent stay.
4.1
The jacuzzi was ice cold and the jets pointed up flooding the whole pool area
4.1
It is very short staff and all the places to get food was just about out of everything. Very hard to find workers to help or even to ask questions
4.1
This was the best place to stay for our trips to the area. We could gamble, eat and drink without having to leave the property. Now the restaurant is gone and that’s a major bummer! Still a good spot but if the restaurant comes back it will be great again! Also they need cameras in the parking lot.
4.1
Check in service was good and thank you for the free coffee. The room itself was very outdated and there were stains on the carpet and a weird smell in the room. The lodge feels tired and in need of some updates. The General Stire service was good as well.
4.1
Meets the need for a place to crash. Room is clean but definitely outdated. Bed was okay, not the worst we've seen. Available food within the restaurants is frozen quick made, nothing truly nutritional or delicious but it will fill your hunger. Casino was dead all weekend. Much cheaper than anything near the strip. We were here for a concert and quick over night so it met our needs just fine!
4.1
Big comfortable rooms, the only complaint is the pillows on the beds.
4.1
Great place with a view of Lake Mead - it's an interesting and unique place to stay - fun and close to the lake and downtown Boulder City. No formal restaurant but snacks galore.
4.1
A convenient location for a good stay overnight to visit Hoover Dam. Hotel is clean and comfortable, downside is there is no restaurant but food was available at the various casino’s within the hotel lobby. If gambling drinks were offered without cost but if not there to gamble then you pay, prices are reasonable. The room was good & clean with a fridge but no tea or coffee making facility within the room. Tea, coffee were at the general store in the hotel lobby but there were none available as not readily topped up at time of trying to get one. Breakfast sandwiches were on sale but again very limited supply and was told only one sandwich left, his was at 0800 am?. For family’s, non gamblers, more suitable stay options are available in the town of Boulder about 15 mins further from the Dam. Recommended if just needing a room for the night.
4.1
Good stay! The people who worked in the general store were not very friendly. Otherwise good experience.
4.1
A cross between the Bates motel and the Shinning. Creepy and dirty.
4.1
Only family restaurant permanently closed, had to go off site to eat, if you wanted anything outside of pre packaged food. 5 plus miles away.
Staff excellent!
Biggest issue SMOKING in MAIN ENTRANCE LOBBY!!!
Quiet facility.
Pool doesn't open till 0800, no early morning swimming.
Stay here often, serves my purpose.
General store needs to pay more attention to stock guest may need (toiletries).
General store needs to be more consistent with coffee, creamer and cup services.

Started at hoover dam lodge for the dam and west rim 2 days amazing. Helicopter ride to the bottom of the canyon and boat ride on the colorado. Also did the skywalk Then we drove over to the south rim. So far amazing vacation
4.1
clean, large room, nice bed, really nice staff.
4.1
Pros - Spacious clean room, quiet. Cons - booked this stay because their webisite said they had bingo - no bingo, been closed for years according to staff, shower had no cold water, drink service almost non existent, no restaurant, only fast food, food service slow - 45 mins to get an order of fast fried food.
4.1
While the staff was great the hotel itself has gone downhill since last we stayed. They closed the only restaurant and this was not disclosed. The only food available was microwave food at the bars.
The water pressure was non existent and the water was extremely hot.
We had 5 couples that stayed and each room had its own set of issues.
The air conditioner worked ( which was great since it was 112 outside) however it was like a jet plane taking off every 5 minutes.
Also the bed had a plastic liner on the mattress which was uncomfortable and made you sweat.
I don't normally leave reviews but felt this was deserving of one.

We have been going there for family reunions for years and it has always been one of our favorite places. We spend our days playing on the lake to come back and shower. The showers had no cold water! It was scalding hot. The rooms had no dressers and were big empty ugly rooms. The restaurant was closed down forever and the restrooms were also closed down! The food vendors in all the little casinos inside had no food to serve that was on the menus going in. Halfway through our stay our room keys shut down and we were told that this happens all the time. I will give a shout out to Linda and Gabriel in the bar as well as Diane at the front desk!!! They are amazing and made it as pleasant as possible for our group. That place used to be the best!! I doubt we will ever go back. So sad that they have run it into the ground.
4.1
Horrible. The list of things wrong with this place is pretty much endless. 1. Check-in took 30 minutes. 2. We weren't told which elevators to use and stood at some that weren't working for a bit. (No signage.) 3. A/C in the room not working properly. (75° in the room.) 4. Out of many things at the bar. Ex: Could I please get a Pineapple Smirnoff Ice? - I'm out of those. I have Mango, Raspberry, etc. etc. - I'll take a Raspberry. - Oh, I'm out of those as well. 5. The restaurant is permanently closed. Who knew? We had 5 hungry kids and my aging mother-in-law to feed. We go to all 4 or 5 of the little casinos in the joint. No fries, pizza, corn dogs at any of them. - Oh, we got hit hard last weekend, and we're out of most everything! (We stayed on a Wednesday.) 6. Security stared our family down as if we were criminals. 7. The shower handle fell off and wouldn't go back on. It was on hot, and the steam rolling out really made the 75° so nice! The guy had to BEAT a new one on... which I'm sure everyone else on our floor appreciated at 6 AM. 8. None of the I've machines on any of the floors worked. 9. No coffee makers in the rooms and the creamer at the downstairs place was bad. My advice is DO NOT spend your hard earned money to stay here... It is absolutely ridiculously horrid.

This is the 3rd trip through Boulder City that we have stayed at the Hoover Dam Lodge. On most recent trip, found the air conditioner to be making a horrible noise. Returned to front desk and asked if we could have another room. No. It is their policy to see if the problem can be fixed. The lodge was not even 1/4 occupied, as usual more employees that guests! So back to the 8th floor room to wait for maintenance. Maintenance person walked in the room and immediately said we would need to be moved! Back to the front desk to request a new room. We were road weary and simply wanted to rest, not spend an hour making trips back and forth to front desk and then moving our belongings.
When we went to one of the food venues we were told by the staff that they had only a few of the items listed on the menu, they don’t have a kitchen, it is frozen stuff they heat in a microwave and is not very good! They then added that all the venues have the same low stock situation.

A stop on my way to Grand canyon. Rook furnishing on the older side. AC struggled with the scorching heat outside. Friendly desk Overall it did the job.

It was okay. We got there late at night around 10 and there wasn’t any place for us to grab dinner. They said there was food in the casinos area so I went to the only one who had food. The burger came out hard that my daughter couldn’t bite into it cause she would have broken her braces. I had to give her my chicken fingers which were ok she said. Not much food and no restaurant so that’s disappointing. Overall a decent hotel looks a bit outdated.
4.1
Oh boy, where do I begin? The outside of the building and gigantic sign were easy to spot from the highway. But the smell of cigarettes hits you before you even get in the door. (It IS a casino so maybe this is to be expected.)
The check-in was ok, with the desk clerk having one issue after another with her computer m
Once in the room, which was clean, we found a weird brown stain on our son's sheets and a hole in our bedspread.
"Breakfast" was free coffee and that's all.
The whole hotel needs a upgrade in decorations and carpet. Still, I would stay here again, AFTER I checked out the conditions of my beds.

Clean room and friendly staff. This place is totally with the price. It would be nice if they had an area for the kids though (maybe an arcade).
