Nice resort but rooms need modernising.

Amazing all fish dinner on a platform on the ocean, romantic and peaceful. Beautiful big yard with fruit trees and two pools. Staff was very helpful, welcoming and ready to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was rich and fresh. Only flaw is the rooms are a little updated, especially the bathrooms but very clean.

Super nice Italian garden hotel, though the pool was closed the whole of June

Ok this was not what we expected. We expected to stay in the building shown on Expedia's website (the Grand Hotel). However we were relagated to the service building which does have four units on three floors. Unfortunately (I've had this experience before when booking with Expedia) it felt like we were given the backroom on the third floor. Upon opening the window our view was dumpsters. But to be fair in the distance were lemon and orange trees and a nice view of the sea. There was also an issue with no heat. The management told us that we were there on the shoulder season so the main facilities were closed (so was the heat). Go figure.
(Expedia intervened) -- They moved us to a lower unit and somehow with computerized thermostats cooked us at night. We could not easily manage the temperature in the room. The shower was so small (maybe 2.5 x 2.5 feet). Do not consider if your are larger person. You cannot bend over to wash your legs or feet.
The actual town is close by. Great boardwalk and many restaurant options. But be careful traveling on shoulder seasons. Almost all museums, art centers are closed.
Parking is at a distance from all buildings. Walkways are difficult with paving and suitcases.

Amazing bistrot on the water. Very nice breakfast. Generally Gaeta has a cool vibe.

The hotel is beautiful and the pool was the highlight of our stay (I wish the pool stayed open later). We had a large room with a private balcony which was quite nice. We definitely would have appreciated a bit of help with our luggage, particularly since the elevator stopped at the floor below our room, but other than that, we didn’t have any complaints.

Outstanding hotel and service excellent. Hotel in an amazing resort.

Gardens and property are excellent

Extremely expensive food options, minibar, no water or amenities in room, unusable wifi. No bellhop service available on arrival. Nice buildings and clean, but haven't been upgraded since the early nineties. A single power point hidden behind the bed in the room. Need complete modernisation. 2*

We stayed one night only because we did not see many things to do around Gaeta on the internet. Yet, I wanted to be there for my birthday. It is a nice quiet town. There are some medieval buildings. Unfortunately, I programmed only one day there which I now regret.
I had a great time. The hotel is nice and I like the garden of orange trees . The staff was great and very helpful, I had a problem where I took the wrong bus. I called Simona and she saved the day. Thank you very much we had a great time.

Great place to stay. Rooms lovely and large... Pool rather good and the staff were very helpful when I had problems....

A lovely hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The pool is outstanding, huge with an adjoining hydro pool and feels very private. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel stands in beautiful gardens with lemon trees galore. The hotel has its own promenade by the seafront. The staff were superb. Highly recommended.

Villa Irlanda is a jewel on the coast with an impressive garden and view of the Gulf of Gaeta; I was there many times twenty years ago, returning today as a stop and go on my journey to Amalfi Coast. The place is kept in proper conditions as it was, some (minor) defects remain: parking lots are still not paved, and the food at the restaurant not to the level I remembered, missing, probably due to the covid-19 the gorgeous buffet. Everything else is perfect.

Outstanding property. It was like staying at a beautiful villa on a well maintained estate. Lush landscaping with a beautiful view of the Gulf ans the Latina hill country. Great breakfast buffet and restaurant on property for a tasty Italian dinner. In season or out of season the attention to detail is perfect. I will surely visit again.

Beds were very hard.

The grounds of this hotel are beautiful. Fruit trees everywhere. The pool was nice. The air conditioning in my room didn't work. I was on the ground level, didn't feel comfortable leaving my windows open so got very hot at night.

somewhat tired and in need of attention, staff not the friendly, you seemed to be in their way attitude! too auster and very bland cynical place , no warmth to the place won't be going back!!

Our stay was amazing. We were in a little villa with 24 rooms. Super clean and it seemed to have undergone renovations. The grounds are beautiful.
1.5
The breakfast choice is very limited and if you want a drink or food you need to ask at the right time as service is only provided when someone is available. The grounds are lovely and the swimming pool is nice. The rooms are a bit bare and could do with a bit more attention being paid on them.
The hotel is no more than 3* property. No water provided in the rooms and no tea or coffee facilities. No bad value and the location is good close to the beach but if you want to go to Gaeta you will need to rent a car.

Great hotel outside the city of Gaeta. Very close to the beaches. Great comfortable beds and fantastic outside area with big pool and enough sunbeds. The breakfast was great. We stayed there in the weektime and before the big tourist season started. We can highly recommend a stay here. But you will need a car if you want to see the city of Gaeta and the surroundings.

Property in large garden with plenty of trees and nicely set up pool area. Renovated and well appointed rooms. No direct sea view, in spite that the hotels lies on the sea side.Busy road passing in front of the hotel. Good Wifi connection, plenty of parking space.
Evening menu proposal for € 35.- which excludes wine. Birthday celebration going on, so we opted for the fish restaurant and pizzeria which is 300 meters left from the hotel along the sea promenade; serving affordable, local type food. Breakfast was a deception with plenty of cakes. Unfortunately the cold cuts were taken from packs of cheapest quality like those found in had discounters. No hot breakfast items.

We stayed ay Villa Irlanda for one night while traveling through Gaeta. We had chosen a suite room, but found that the room was very outdated and had a narrow spiral staircase going up to the bedroom. We asked to change to a standard double room, which was great; then worked with Expedia to get the lower rate. The property overall is very beautiful, but now really near to Gaeta. The breakfast was very nice.

It is in a beautiful setting and would be wonderful in the summer. The restaurant was lovely and good.r

The property is beautiful! The location is in between 2 towns which was good but had about a 3-4 mile walk to either town. So mostly by cab. They offered a breakfast that was included in your rate and was good. Hotel staff very nice and helpful.

Stayed here for a break post five hectic days in rome, but loved it so much did not even bother to explore the local area. The site itself is stunn8ng with one of the best pools surrounded by trees ever been at, there is also a jetty though a tunnel to a platform where you can sit on loungers overlooking the sea. The rooms had good airconditioning but the bathroom needs updating, classical nature may be an issue here , the shower cubicle was tiny though water hot. Very clean. Staff lovely though feel at dinner there were not enough of them but made for a leisurely meal. We had the 35euro 4 course meal which was good and with wine from 10 euros excellent value. Overall had a superb stay. wifi was a bit hit and miss.

Unfortunately we arrived very late 2:00 am due to airline issues and did not get a chance to use any of the facilities

This place was a great surprise, it was close to everything we will stay here again.

We had to change rooms because of the shower flooding the bathroom. Reception was very helpful and moved us to a better and much larger room. The hotel is in the outskirts of Gaeta and you have to drive 10 to 15 minutes to the centre of Gaeta to find all the bars and restaurants. If you have not got a car there is a bus that stops outside the hotel gates. You can get lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant but it looked very formal and because we stayed out of season it was always empty. The breakfast provided was very good with lots of choice, however we could not find anywhere to buy a snack during the day. The hotel has beautiful grounds and the swimming pool is very large. I think the hotel is for special occasions and hosts many weddings during the summer. One big complaint we were chared eight euros for two cups of tea! glad we did not ask for champagne. The rooms are well serviced with regular cleaning and towel changes and are well stocked with toiletries. All the staff we met were very efficient and cheerful. There is no gym but you can borrow bikes from reception.

Generally good. The "suite" we were assigned was the only one with no bathroom on the lower floor and was extremely unpleasant to have to go up the narrow spiral staircase to use the facilities.

Loved the grounds at this pretty hotel near the water. Good breakfast and lovely pool. Hotel has plenty of parking and is wifi friendly in the rooms. The room was smalll, dark and rather basic though.

Excellent hotel, beautiful gardens, buildings and pool area made for a wonderful time. Good location - cross the road for the beach and some local restaurants but a drive or taxi ride to the centres of Gaeta or Formia.
Buffet breakfast has enough variety. Lunch options are limited but good. Did not eat in main restaurant.

Everything the pictures depict is true. Beautiful grounds, location, views, sunrises and sunsets. Fruit trees all over. Staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Really just beautiful.
