Retro Hotel for a Competitive Price

If you like retro and a glimpse of prewar Poland, this hotel is for you. Breakfast is great. Regretted that we did not have dinner at the hotel, they have a duck special for 2 for 100 PLN, a real steal! Next time. The staff is great. I forgot my power bank and keys. Was able to get them sent home without any problems.

Try to get a room off the main street. Super loud!

Hotel Pod Orłem to był dobry wybór na trzy dniowy pobyt w Bydgoszczy.

Bardzo dobre śniadanie, dodatkowo dla potrzebujących były przygotowane kanapki na drogę. Lokalizacja w samym centrum wszędzie blisk.

Wszystko mi się podobało.

Großartiger Aufenthalt in einem historischen Juwel!

Unser Aufenthalt im Focus Hotel Premium Pod Orłem in Bydgoszcz war einfach herausragend! Dieses Hotel mit seiner beeindruckenden über 120-jährigen Geschichte ist ein echtes Juwel. Die Mischung aus historischem Charme und modernem Komfort macht den Aufenthalt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Alles war makellos sauber, was den hohen Standard des Hauses widerspiegelt. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und stets hilfsbereit – man fühlte sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das großartige Frühstücksbuffet, das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Frische, hochwertige Produkte und eine tolle Auswahl – so startet man gerne in den Tag! Und der absolute Hit: Es gibt liebevoll gemachte Sandwiches zum Mitnehmen. Und: Ich habe schon viele seltsame Dinge unter Hotelbetten gefunden aber noch nie habe ich unter dem Bett einen Zettel gefunden mit dem Text "Hier haben wir auch aufgeräumt". Großartig! Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls unschlagbar, mitten im Herzen von Bydgoszcz, einer wunderbaren Stadt, die viel zu bieten hat. Wir hatten keine negativen Punkte während unseres Aufenthalts und können dieses Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln außer vielleicht die etwas laute Straßenbahn vor dem Hotel. Aber da kann das Hotel ja nichts daran ändern.

Świetna lokalizacja, hotel ma piękny wystrój, historię i klimat

Prawdopodobnie konserwator zabytków się nie zgadza na założenie klimatyzacji ale warto przemyśleć kwestię przenośnych klimatyzatorów. Było bardzo ciepło w pokoju, więc otworzyliśmy okno a że był weekend to zbyt głośna ulica

Fab location, beautiful building but pretty much it.

Location

As for 4* Hotel, disappointing. Lack of care, lack of hospitality from all staff members at the reception. At the check in, no basic information given(check out or facilities of the hotel, payment taken upon the arrival, you won’t find any info in your hotel Room). We did not enjoy position of the room (room faced noisy Main Street) as there is no air con it was impossible to keep windows closed, with every tram passing by the hotel, you will feel it. Bathrooms definitely need a deep cleaning. Reception team: zero engagement, dealt with 3 different people neither of you wished us a nice stay or asked on the check out if we enjoyed it. You are the business card of the hotel (beautiful history), hospitality is something that Poland always been proud of. You have a bit of work to do. Don’t be afraid to ask for a feedback… without it you will never know what can be done better or how you can improve and become again the best hotel and the team in the city. Fab location, beautiful building but pretty much it.

Grand Budapest Hotel w centrum Bydgoszczy! Z parkingiem i sympatyczna obsługą.

Niestety jak w drugiej części tego filmu - wymaga remontu. Pilnego, kapitalnego remontu. Dotyczy to schodów, pokoju, łazienki w pokoju.

All in all a pleasent experience and without any hesitations recommendable

Friendly staff; comfy bed; beautiful interior; two big mirrors in the main room and one in the bathroom; small fridge in the room; extra care for my request

No AC in the room; vinyl (or similar) shower curtain instead of glass for the bath tub; bathroom sink didn't have much space to place your own articles

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and well situated. I'll definitely be back and recommend it further.

The staff replaced my towels daily, I'd prefer to have a choice between having them replaced or not if I leave them hanging. We had an apartment with two single beds serving as king size and a fold out sofa for a party of 3 adults, as much as the room was amazing, sofa was less then comfortable. We also had an unfortunate mishap with the cleaning staff witch I won't mention but I'm definitely lowering my grade for that.

Great hotel in a great location.

This hotel is full of character! Great looking from outside and inside building, however the rooms need some updating (still comfortable and pleasant to stay in), this hotel was truly a great place to stop in Bydgoszcz city, and if you are looking for a character with a comfy bed in the room, and want to be right in the heart of city, this is the place!!!! Staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very helpful and polite.

The room has not been cleaned every day, despite cleaners being to our room to empty the bins and leave the bottles of water.

Great stay, friendly staff.

Interior is marvelous. Overall it was very satisfying stay: - early check in (around 12pm); - I was suggested room for my preference - quiet or with view to the center of the city, but noisy; - lot of cosmetics in bathroom (even shaving pack and toothbrush and toothpaste), slippers; - coffee, plain and sparkling water and tea in the room. A whole bath, not a shower tube. On Saturday and Sunday breakfast are up to 11am. Takeaway sandwiches and to go coffee at breakfast were great addition.

The curtains were torn and dirty (room 400). Not a complain, just observation - there was no head light in my room, only floor lamps. Orange juice was a disappointment - it tasted like powder juice(

Lovely staff slightly spoiled by initial ( night time check in)

The history and style of the hotel. The restaurant staff and most of the reception staff.

Check in late evening was not altogether helpful in explaining how much the cost would be if paid in local currency or pounds. I chose £ and paid a lot more than I should have.
