Impressive, modern, classy, and very clean property. Fantastic amenities, i.e, multiple pools, spa on property, and great dining. I was impressed the moment I walked into the lobby. We'll certainly be guest there again.

This is a lovely, slightly out of the way, four star hotel. Facilities are very good. Menu limited if staying for more than a few days but it’s very good food. Walking and public transport are a bit awkward but if you have a car there is no issue with that. The spa facilities are very nice. Best part of my stay!

Wonderful surroundings - the grounds are beautiful with well cured gardens. Staff are very professional and pleasant. Rooms are ok and airy. The main pool opened at 10am which was a bit late for us as we like to take an early dip. The only negative was the room sound proofing, where we could hear very well the people in the next room.
4.3
Room furniture was worn out and stained. I stated this as well in a review dated May, 2022

Great location. It ishardtofind but other than that, excellent.

Very nice property

The bed is super hard. The food isn’t good. No coffee in the room. It’s more like a three star hotel. The blinds don’t actually keep the light out of the room.
4.3
Room walls are paper thin, lovely grounds but very tired building & rooms. Shower head was in need of clean as water went everywhere that’s assuming it didn’t fall out of its holder! Dinner was nice and staff all very friendly. We were only here for 1 night stop so it served its purpose.
4.3
Beautiful setting and gardens. Staff unfailingly friendly and helpful.A few. minor problems, most fixed promptly.Over-designed,irritating taps in basin which could not deliver a bowl of hot water.Shower panels fixed too high so it leaked.Endless repetitive 'dinner jazz' muzak. Food great but menu same daily unless you have 'half board' and no one, including hotels .com explained that the was an option

Hust calling out a pretty poor hotel.
We booked for 4 nights but only stayed for one, kissing goodbye to about £600 but so poor was the experience we just decided to go elsewhere.
The hotel is very dated allover. There has been some effort to update some areas but overall the whole hotel feels very cheap for the price. The room itself feels dated. The blinds and curtains let in lots of light. The air-conditioning doesn't work. Reading some other comments and out experience it's clear it doesn't work. It didn't work in our room, it didn't work in the gym or the spa. Set it to 19 degrees and it is obviously on but no cool air comes out. Clearly Best Western are scrimping again! It was about 25+ outside so this lead to an uncomfortable nights sleep and the main reason we left early.
The bed was good though!
The main gym bench/weight equipment is broken.
The outdoor pool isn't open until June either.
I really would avoid this hotel.

Fantastic restful overnight stay.
Driving a long way just what we needed.

Nice hotel just on the outskirts of town (about 10 minutes south of Pescara). The hotel was clean and in good condition. We had a beautiful view of the Adriatic off our balcony. We tried to call the reception area a few times during our stay but they never picked up. Instead we went down to the front desk to ask our questions. A couple days after we left the hotel, my partner realized that items were left in the room. The hotel staff was able to locate the items and agreed to mail them to us when we return home.

Awesome view from the terrace. Nice retro look. Well maintained.

We had one night here, the room was comfortable but we found that the AC was disabled so we had quite a hot night with poor sleep.
The restaurant and bar were good and it was a short drive to the sea front.
4.3
Great Value; but the best was the steak in the restaurant. The best cut of beef I have ever had in 15 years of coming to Europe. We actually ate the same thing both nights.
Staff friendly and accommodating. Nice view of the sea from the room. Beds comfortable.

great hotel excellent facilities great staff
we will come again

Nice hotel. Wery friendly and helpful staff. You have to have a car to get around, there is a long way to the town. But there is a shuttle bus to the nice Beach in summer time

Great place. A few extremely minor faults: You cant bring kids to the spa pool area. Fine, but it was not proclaimed anywhere on their website where you can see a picture of a mother with a infant in the spa-pool. The coffee in the tea-kitchen was never refilled when we had used the two nescafe units on the first day. Rest was near perfect!

Beautiful hotel and setting. Room was nice with a great view of the Adriatic. Gardens were beautiful as well. Free parking. We were there before the "season" and pool was not ready to use. Shuttle to beach wasn't running either. For a real nice place the towels and bath amenities were poor. Our room was located near the middle of the hotel near the elevators, and it was pretty noisy.

We came to Francavilla al Mare to attend the wedding of my niece. I had seen Villa Maria but I had never stayed there. The outside is beautiful with lovely tree-lined walkways and a view of the sea. The inclusion of a spa with an onsite beauty salon that offers facials, massages and other treatments just adds to the value of this spot. For me, the site was easy to get back and forth. We went shopping in nearby Pescara and downtown Francavilla.
The staff were all very cheerful and helpful and made us feel as though we were getting special treatment.

Our stay at the hotel was truly fantastic. The staff went out of their ways to help out make suggestions for places to eat and ensuring you are being looked after. We will be going again.

This hotel has very modern accommodations and the grounds are spectacular. All inclusive breakfast, beautiful outdoor swimming pools (2), steam and saunas, fitness center, spa. The restaurant serves very fresh seafood. It sits up high overlooking the Adriatic Sea and provides for a very serene atmosphere as it is away from the Pescara Centro and beaches. They provide a free shuttle bus to the beach, where they have a very large reserved spot of chairs and umbrellas. The staff are friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. The grounds are well maintained with many places to sit in luxury to read throughout the day. Would most definitely go back to this hotel.

Hotel staff, location and fscilities are excellent. Health center is very dated, but good enough while on holidays.
Only issue we had was with regards the air conditioner not working properly the last day of our staying, apparently there was some major maintenance works.

Wonderful, relaxing

Nice hotel with great spa and pool and lush gardens but inconvenient location for those without a car. Also had two single beds put together rather than a queen size bed which makes in uncomfortable for couples.

I had a lovely time at the Villa Maria.
Staff were lovely and helpful and the location was great. Would definately stay there again.

We stayed here because of its proximity to places in Italy that were home to our immigrant ancestors. The hotel however is a full service well-appointed resort property situated along a popular stretch of the Adriatic that contains very beautiful beaches. The hotel grounds are spectacular, loaded with olive trees and flowering bushes, and to no surprise is a sought-after wedding venue. Although not situated on the coastline itself the hotel is high enough on a hill so that a most gratifying view of the sea can be enjoyed. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. We did not dine at the hotel, but the breakfast buffet was excellent as was the bar service. Even though Francavilla al Mare is not that well known to Americans as a vacation spot we would have no problem recommending an extended stay at Villa Maria in the summer, or for that matter any time of the year.

The hotel is very good, very nice furniture in the public places, beautiful gardens a huge design swimming pool.
I was on a business trip and booked this hotel to be relaxed for the meetings I had.
Good food in the restaurant, a good selection of wines on the card. A nice wellness centre. A very kind and helpful staff.
But we booked the wrong room. The room was the in contrast with all the rest. Even when it is a standard room. Small dark, nothing special concerning the furniture a bathroom with a very small shower, very difficult to get in because there is a handle outside so that you can't open one folding door completely. This is not a room for a 4 star hotel. Even when it is a standard room.
I visit a superior room and a luxury room and they are in harmony with the quality and price of the hotel.
Next time I will not book a standard room.
