Nice property close to the Lake Arrowhead Village with ample parking. Comfortable room with good amenities. Decent breakfast options, although coffee wasn’t hot - I had to buy my coffee in the end at the 7-11 across the parking lot. The Lake Arrowhead Village has lost many shops, so there are fewer shopping options than before. Food options are better.

Nice and quite place to relax!
4.3
Very rustic property, comfy yet some of the creature comforts were lacking including:
Sporadic internet, bedroom TV not working, complimentary continental breakfast was just ok…

We were assigned to a room on second floor. No elevator. We had to carry our bags up a flight of stairs. We are 80 and husband uses a cane to walk. They should have advised me of the stairs when I made the reservation. I never would have booked it.

Came to town for the weekend to do some house hunting and the room was basic. Clean, but a lot of deferred maintenance in the room and bath (probably because of the age). We are older, so the steep stairs to our upstairs room with luggage was not a good experience... Nice staff. Good restaurant. Go for a cottage or downstairs unit.

Great family outing location

Great stay, food was amazing!

It’s a beautiful area and property. It’s definitely old and there was old odor to it, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Only thing that didn’t work was TVs. It would be nice to place a system that’s easy to navigate to use. Also one of the foldable bed was not usable, so three of us has to sleep in the king bed and one slept on one of the folding beds. Overall nice cute room.

We like everything.

A well maintained historic property (1930's?) with a very good restaurant, most entrees $30 to $50. Many of the rooms are in small buildings with one to four rooms each, arranged on a terraced hillside with stone walls, small garden spaces, and a variety of conifers and deciduous trees. The rooms are not large, but have character. The person at the desk was pleasant and helpful.

Lovely property

This place was super cute and cozy. We opted for one of the smaller rooms but it came with a fireplace and hot tub. Pet friendly with staff that was super sweet to my dog. It's like a cute little town of it's own, clean and quaint. Its great they have a bar and restaurants as an option and 7-11 next door that's open 24/7. Walking distance to the shops by the lake. Loved it and would stay here again.

Great relaxing stay. Enjoyed the room and location. Having our small dog wasn’t a problem.

Booked an overnighter because I wanted a place close to food and shopping. This is literally a 5 minute walk to the heart of the Village. The staff were amazing. Dinner was fantastic. We stayed in cabin 36. It was cozy, clean and spacious. I will definitely be staying here again.

We will definitely be back. Kindness stemmed from the front desk, general management to maintenance - everyone was so helpful
And personable and the accommodations were so clean and warm. Upon their recommendation, the restaurant was also hands down the best. Thank you for all the help and guidance (with chains and snow management!) loved our stay! Thank you!!
4.3
Nice property. When we arrived our room was freezing cold. Had to leave coats on for a couple
of hours until room heated up. Wasn’t the cleanest room. Dining area could use a good cleaning also. Didn’t eat at the hotel, because the restaurant was very expensive compared to other restaurants in town. Not bad, but probably wouldn’t stay again.
4.3
It is a decent mountain hotel at a decent price.
4.3
Very cute and quaint cottage in the mountains. There is a restaurant/ bar in the same building as the hotel lobby. Conveniently located within walking distance to the lake. I would definitely go back again for a longer stay as my visit was short.
4.3
Cute rooms, but very thin walls. We could hear the guy below our room snoring all night. Also not enough hot water for a shower. I like the continental breakfast.
4.3
This was a nice place to stay in. Check in was very easy. I did not like the fact they didn't provide a bottle of water. Also DO NOT attempt to eat at the property's restaurant food is terrible and expensive. There's fast food restaurants and dining areas at the village that are worth to try.

Amazing staff! Room was clean and just like pictures! Would recommend again!

Dog friendly place.

It was comfortable and easy to get to it

The proberty was beautiful and the room was nice and cozy!

Awesome stay, great staff and enjoyed the city overall
4.3
Staff was great. Free breakfast always welcome. Not a five start hotel but for a holiday snow weekend it was worth it.
4.3
The hotel was clean and had a nice vintage feel (some amenities felt slightly outdated). Employees were friendly. Walking distance to the village. Overall nice place to stay.
4.3
The restaurant was amazing, wish I could eat there every day. Lake Arrowhead Village was a 5 minute walk. The complimentary breakfast was lackluster, should be described as a continental breakfast as there were no hot dishes available. The cottage itself was ok but furnishings & carpets were dates & need a refresh. Staff was very nice.

This property is historic and so such a quaint building and hotel. As such, expect that there are those usual aspects that come with an old building- in our room for example, the heater made a lot of noise and the bathroom/shower was kept in its older condition, which means not very ADA accessible. We stayed in the main building with smaller rooms and ours faced the parking lot; the Inn has other separate cabins surrounding it. The main building where we stayed has thin walls, so expect the noise of activity. We welcomed all of these considering the age and location of the building.
We love how easy it is to get to and that parking is available to guests. If you're into the Lake Village Shopping area, it's walking distance to there- shops, restaurants, etc.
Breakfast was minimal/simple-
pastries, cereal, fruits, coffee, tea. The Inn's restaurant is also in the maon building where our room was- it's quite popular and has a beautiful rustic ambience, which is another convenience for hotel guests.
We thought the staff were also very friendly and accomodating.

I absolutely love the saddleback inn! The perfect location! It had everything that I needed. I just wanted to get away somewhere serene and simple to connect with the things that matter. Heather at the front desk was a gem and so helpful and so friendly and kind. Everything about this place was exactly what I needed. Its also walkable to everything. Icing on the cake was I woke up to beautiful snow falling from the sky! I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to come back. 🙂

We loved the location and the fact that the hotel has its own restaurant. Although our room was small it was cosy and warm. We only stayed one night so we could not enjoy much of the property. We would recommend it to our friends.
4.3
Great place to stay. The staff was so friendly! The Cabins are adorable and spacious.
4.3
Place was very clean, great location near to arrowhead lake The bed felt like it was going to break, also room was too small.
4.3
Quiet and clean. The only thing i really need a coffee made machine

The workers were friendly but the service was very poor. I called and asked for new towels/sheets and the attendant told me to come to the front desk to pick them up (I’ve never been at a place that doesn’t bring them to your room). Our room felt like an oversized closet. We had a queen bed which was totally fine but we barely had any room to even walk around the sides of the bed. We had a spider come out of our bed sheets (probably because of our door, which would not close unless I slammed it with all my strength). Breakfast was literally nothing but fruit loops cereal, bagels, and juice. It’s wrong to actually advertise that breakfast. Both days we stayed were rough. Would definitely not come here again!

Amazing and very clean I recommend this place

Overall it was a decent stay, central location. A couple of things to mention: TV channels weren’t working well and heating was uneven, first floor would stay colder than upstairs which would get real hot during the night
4.3
Karen our front desk manager was absolutely lovely. We’ve been coming to the Saddleback Inn for nearly 13 years. Always a pleasure to visit and be treated with such warmth and nostalgia. Thank you Saddleback, and Karen, we’ll see you soon.
