Wonderful hotel, with incredible views and beach access. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Meals were enjoyable. Comfort, design and fixtures and fittings were great. Some maybe need replacement and care. The ownership does seem to take โ renovations seriously, so I am sure it will be like new soon.
3.0
A continuing non issue that never went away with the bill got rather annoying in the end. That seemed more ro be head offices issue rather than the staff on the ground, but was the only real blemish

View is outstanding, as is walking on the long beach. Wirhin 2 miles of fabulous restaurants. Friendly staff. Will stay again!

Lovely hotel on the beach front road. Staff very attentive and informative. Room was comfortable and clean but the carpet on the stair down to our room was grubby. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our stay.

Great position, fantastic views, short distance into Plet and for Robberg Nature Reserve
Great staff, nice breakfast and dinner options

Fantastic location overlooking the ocean. Really friendly staff.

Lovely Location with views across Plettenberg bay.
Less than 5 minutes walk to main beach and 10 mins drive to Robberg Nature Reserve. Staff were very polite and helpful. Great Breakfast and evening meal. Our room was good, with all the basics we needed and was also nice & clean. We would be happy to stay there again, but would try to get a room with a view of the beach if we could

Definitely not 5 star. Great location. Great beach. Too bad about recent shark attacks. Breakfasts decent. No air conditioning at night due to load shedding.

Great location

Modern and amazing location, right in front of the waves (so loud that you could hear them in the room).
Tight parking for the van, room ac just did not warm up enough despite complaining to front desk. In room TV was just ok, but kids could not enjoy some channels as they did not work.
Staff otherwise was courteous in the morning breakfast we took. Overall a good stay.

It is a beautiful property right in front of the beach. Staffs service is good. Nice if they could provide more international electric pin adapters. TV could have be bigger for the price they charge
5.0
Perfect position with easy access to the beach. Warm and friendly service from all.
Laundry bills I feel were a little excessive though.
Overall an enjoyable stay which I would recommend.

I'm terribly sorry to say that our stay wasn't that enjoyable.
It was our honeymoon and the room was really not worth the price. The Air conditioner would only stay on 30 degrees celcius. Eventually we discovered that the batteries were soo old that the acid had leaked out into the control and it no longer worked. The TV channels would come and then disappear as if it never existed. The TV channels that there were, had reception issues too. The curtains in the room were not block-out curtains. The outside lights were on all night and it was bright as day in the room so we did not sleep the first night. So we bought black bags and masking tape and taped up the windows and doors ourselves so that we could get some sleep the second night. The breakfast was not self service, so ones portions could not be adjusted, either leading to waste of food or not enough eaten. We found that the weekend staff were not as jacked up and the Monday staff ito service and knowledge and communication skills. Just too many little things that made our stay not worth it.

The whole ambiance from checking in was good, warm and friendly. The location and view from the property is stunning. The food served was first class. Will definitely stay there again when weโre in Plettenberg Bay.

Lovely property, clean comfortable and great location. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and were always ready with a smile and a friendly chat. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Breakfast was delicious and evening meals at the restaurant (extra cost), were delicious also and good value for money. I would highly recommend this lodge.

Although a little far out from town, the Robberg Beach Lodge is a haven. Just opposite the beach, it was quiet and relaxing. Rooms were comfortable and clean, service was prompt and staff were very helpful.

We stayed one night at this hotel on our honeymoon. They did not give us the room with sea view, hence we stayed below the kitchen which was loud and smelly. Service was attentive and invited to a bottle of wine, which we had on the front porch overlooking Plettenberg bay. The views are spectacular from the hotel and the dinner was as well (Try the Calamari starter). Also breakfast, which was included, was really really great. I would stay there again but only in a room with sea view!

The Robberg was an absolute dream! From the moment we checked in, we were catered to. The staff was extremely welcoming and provided us with a map and information on Plettenberg Bay. The room was beautiful! So spacious, gorgeous bathroom and incredible views. The hotel is extremely secure and gated (you must swipe a badge to get into the hotel and park). Breakfast was included in our stay, which was a nice surprise since I did not know that when booking. Breakfast was delicious and fresh! Our two night stay in Plettenberg bay was supposed to just be a layover stop as we drove to our game reserve and it ended up being so much more. We felt like we were at a luxurious spa the entire time. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay so memorable!

We have stayed several times and I always notice that the bathrooms do not have magnifying mirrors, as most upscale hotels do. It would make a difference to me.

Staff made you feel special! I love the flower decorations in the room

lovely hotel, right on the beach. it is close by to both Robberg Nature Reserve and Plettenberg Bay main town. The staff were really friendly, especially Fez. But all staff were really helpful and aided us whilst in town and with our onward plans.
the way the complex is split up into a few little areas is lovely and makes it really cosy. we stayed in Cottage Pie and were often the only people in that pool.
the Nature Reserve and the seals there is definitely worth a trip. good trainers or walking boots are required.
The many beaches are lovely. we visited Robberg, Lookuout where we saw seals and dolphins swimming.
a very relaxing stay

Great spot great beach had AC probs in room but otherwise great spot

Lovely hotel. Rooms are large, bathrooms too. Access to the beach across the street. Quiet, residential neighborhood but still close to shops and restaurants. Delicious croissants at breakfast. Reception area is small, making check-in a little confusing when busy.

We stayed in Room 6 in Cottage Pie. Staff was amazing and very proffesional, rooms were stunning and clean. Only complaints are very petty, construction in area (although the Lodge cant hrlp for it and no ashtrays in room. I always forgot to ask so actually my own fault. Overall, 11 out of 10! Great value for money, food was amazing and experience is nothing short of AMAZING and i have been to a few countries around the world that could learn from them! Next time I would take the room with view though. Thanks a mill to all staff there!

Matched expectation from other expedia and TripAdvisor reviews. Great location but eat early as it's not walking distance from town. Good stay and breakfast. Difficult to find anything to criticise, the only improvements would be another coffee pot and toaster to get 10/10.

Nice hotel, massive room & bathroom. Few rooms have a good view. Internet did not reach our (executive) room.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean.
