What a great location! The staff was super friendly, helpful and above and beyond. We loved this place.
We stayed two nights in four rooms. Most of our rooms did not have a shower. Just a wand attached to the bathtub to spray off. It was hard to wash off sand.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The AC barely worked and the hotel was very old and in bad shape.

Excellent hotel with a unique view! I loved it!

Propert only has bath tubs. No shower, no shower curtain. Whole bathroom becomes wet when you take shower.

The hotel rooms are a bit tired but the location is good and the staff are wonderful

Dependable hotel that nonetheless is showing its age. No on site parking. Convenient pay parking nearby. Did not patronize restaurant this stay as experience during previous stay was not acceptable. Helpful front of house and cleaning staff.

We enjoyed our stay and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful . Our room was clean and comfortable, although quite hot as, even on the lowest temperature and with fan on cool setting it was still too warm. However it is beautifully situated and we enjoyed sitting outside un thé brasserie with a drink .

Traditional hotel with clean room and lovely outlook. Very central for the town and lot of restaurants to choose from.

Air conditioning is seasonal. Had to keep windows open at night. Street noise until midnight and again at 6am. Staff was excellent and room very clean. The restaurant was fantastic!

Great room with a seaside view. Amazing customer service and welcoming. Ideal location.

Room was overpriced, and just « ok »
Corridors (gloomy) lighting could be changed.
Finding a parking lot in the hôtel area can be complicated.

This was a nice hotel in a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only issue was the internet connection which would expire at midnight and required 2 step process to connect which didn’t always work the first time.

On the beach boardwalk close to the ferris wheel and cathedral.

We made a specifc booking with twin beds offer and when we arrived we were told that for the category of room in fact they had no such category of rooms with twin beds (and since hotel was full, there was no solution). Whether attributable to Hotels.com or the hotel itself, the offer is misleading and creates difficulties. The hotel made it up by offering breakfast but still I did not get what we bookee for.

The Excelsior met our expectations. Well run and efficient. Good location by sea front. Rooms were clean and staff friendly.

Our room was ready early, excellent check in. Elevator is tiny, but that’s ok. There is only a handheld sprayer in the tub, the actual shower is down the hall. It is extremely well located for the train station, beachfront and retail. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was so small. We could only take one suitcase upstairs. Had to leave the other one in the car.

Incredibly rude man at reception, never in my life have I experienced such a thing. I arrived quite late due to travelling late (about 12.30) which angered the man at the desk. He was very abrupt and made a lot of problems for me. First he accused me of not being the person who made the booking - despite me showing him my booking confirmation with a reference code. He said the details did not match (Which they did) and that I didn't have a booking.
After about 15 minutes, he accepted that I had made the booking - but proceeded to tell me I was using a fake bank card. He suggested it was out of date (it's valid for another year) and was incredibly aggressive. He was abusive in his tone and it took him another 20 minutes to realise my card was not fake. He did not apologise once. I felt an incredible amount of hostility and could not sleep. I decided to leave the hotel just before 6 as I was so shaken and went to pay. Again the man was angry I had disturbed him. Aggressive too. When I told him I was leaving because of him he started huffing and puffing and slamming the mouse down (computer mouse). At this point I explained I felt a level of racism due to my perceived Arab identity (I am not Arab but my name is). My partner is also Arab so we both felt this mistrust and anger towards us...was reflective of his own prejudice. When I explained how upset I was the man shouted at me and told me I was a stupid woman because he had live in Morocco. I was in tears for hours after,

Avoid like eating yellow snow ! They took my booking at 10.00 when I turned up at approx 03.30, partly due to the hotel being 48k from St Tropez not the 23k they used to advertise on Hotels.com ! reception door was locked the lights were off and a grumpy drunk Frenchman told me to go away get lost !!! he was not interested in my booking at all, I called him 4 times on the night bell ! ended up staying up all night as there were no other hotels available

The hotel was excellent in every way apart from the air conditioning in our room which was very poor to say the least.

Check in & out was swift & hassle free. If you're getting off at Saint Raphael train station, the hotel is a 4 minuet walk, come out the main door of the train station, the is a downhill road directly opposite the door, walk down that road (straight) and you come to the hotel.
I'll keep this short. Hotel staff were excellent, there is an English lady there, a young charming french lady, and a (treads carefully) slightly older french lady who always has a smile waiting for you. They were helpful & courteous. I didn't use the hotel's own restaurant so I can't comment on that. The area itself is stunning, but make sure you have some way of translating French , outside the Airport NOTHING is in English, bus signs, train signs, shops, nothing. Lots of kids buzzing round on 50CC noisy scooters (14 is the legal age to drive one over there) . All in all, a great place that's NOT touristy in any way.

The bathroom was difficult to keep dry. The air condition was leaking very badly from the sealing onto the floor, when we complained about it,nothing had been done,we used our towels to try to keep the carpet dry!

This hotel is in an excellent spot with sea views. It has a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Parking a car in the vicinity can be a little tricky, but worth doing. There are many restaurants nearby for a change from the hotel's own menu.

Hotel has amazing location and is in the center of both sides of marina.

We enjoyed our stay at Excelsior. The location was good, food very nice and the staff was friendly. We did not book a sea view room, but we had a lovely view of the sea from both our bedroom and bath. Not a 4 star, but certainly acceptable in all respects. We would return.

The staff was just fantastic. Breakfast was great, and they were so helpful and nurturing towards us. The room was very basic, if you're accustomed to decent pillows, bring one. For the price, the hotel was safe, our belongings were secure, there was no charge for parking in the lot across the street... It was a satisfactory experience, but I am not likely to return.
2.0
The hotel was in great location with easy walking to shops and restaurants and right on the beach.
The hotel needed some updating in lobby and corridors carpeting and new furnishings. The rooms and bathrooms had been completely redone tile carpet, etc. and were verynice but small, typical of an older hotel.
