We enjoyed our stay here it was cosy. There was construction next door but that did not affect our stay at all. Could barely notice it. Place was very comfortable and tidy. Bam Bam cafe next door was a bonus and a short stroll to the beach. The only thing I could fault was shower water was temperamental between hot and cold.

Property was very close to the beach and cafes. Surf club at the end of the street. There is construction next door but that didn't bother us as we were out most of the time. Very quiet area. Park right next door. Will stay here again.

Unfortunately there was a construction site next door. No milk was available in the fridge for the coffee and tea sachets. When we made the phone call to reception to ask, we were informed there would be no milk to the Monday. There was a charge of $2.00 for extra toilet paper if we needed it.

Upon arrival we set to the reception, which to our surprise was a lady peeking out of her private window which stunk terribly and tainted our clothes for the rest of the day. Check in was not for several hours later and yet we were expected to keep our luggage outside in the weather conditions. When voicing our concerns of luggage getting stolen she promptly replied “most of the time it is ok”. After speaking to her, she agreed to let us leave our luggage on her “private” patio in the burning sun. When we came back later for check in, we were expected to clime 2 flights of stairs (no elevator) with heavy luggage. The room stunk, carpet was mismatched, and several signs alerting us of potential theft and to always lock our doors. Would not recommend, we immediately left and would never return.

Property is in a great location however Wotif should advise that construction is occurring directly next door and that the pool at the property is currently closed for repair. The common areas of the property also need attention, but overall the actual room was clean and tidy.

While the location is ideal for the beach, parks and surf club, the property itself is small and tired. This includes the apartments. A one-bedroom family apartment, with a pull-out bed in the living room, felt cramped and claustrophobic

How can you checkin at 2pm, when the office closes at 1pm. However the office was unattended even at 12, and manager did not answer calls to their phone. After more than 30 minutes manager arrived and response to my comment on crazy times was “ yes, it’s a bit tricky”. Needless to say we were fuming by then, no apology for leaving us standing in hot tropical sun. Front gate with code entry was out of order, and we were only able to enter because another guest let us in. While unit was fine for our needs, I would not go through crazy checkin process here again. If office is advertised as open it should be. Very bad service.

Advised manager 4 times that router had a fault yet nothing done to resolve. International travellers booked 2 rooms and no internet. This was a requirement for all parties traveling and was one of the main considerations as it said internet (wifi) was provided. No shampoo conditioner dishwash liquid etc provided and toilet paper! Won’t be recommending or staying again

good privacy and peace full place to spend a holiday. Shopping centre and beach which is located close by. Had booked for four days and could not get an extension for check out time so need to be out of the place by 10am.

The property is a little dated and could benefit from an upgrade but I think this is reflected in the price. Although Park View is close to the main highway, there was little traffic noise in my apartment as it was on the second floor with a sitting room and balcony overlooking Ventura Road and the bedroom was towards the back. The staff are really helpful and pleasant and the apartment was very clean and had all that you could need including washing machine and dryer. It is within walking distance to the beach and also the large shopping centre at Pacific Fair. Mermaid Beach is not in the thick of Gold Coast action but a little quieter and the tram does not come down that far - the nearest station is at Broadbeach South. My main quibble was that the wifi connection was fairly sporadic which was a little frustrating and needs to be remedied. However, all in all, I felt it was great value for money and I would recommend it.

Service was supposed to be on a weekly basis, but on the 8th day we had to ask for a change of linen and towels, and had to make the bed ourselves. For the next 10 days neither other fresh linen not towels were given. The free Wi-Fi was never giving an Internet access, you could connect to Wi-Fi, but no outside connection was provided.

We had a Parkview room, which made a nce outlook and cool breezes from the balcony. The apartment is small but good size for a couple. Basic kitchen, but good cafes close by. Close to lovely patrolled beach. Wifi was unreliable, secure parking available below building, managers friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay and liked the more laid back Mermaid Beach area.

Just a weekend away- lovely pool, quiet surroundings and nicely landscaped. very friendly staff. shops at Broadbeach a 15 minute walk away and no restaurants within easy walking distance. I like this area because it is devoid of high rise apartments.

The place is looking a bit tired , and in need of some maintenance and some basic cleaning.. The tile grout in the shower has some mould, the toilet pan did not look as though it had ever had a bleaching agent in to assist with the bowel whiteness. The external paving tiles also had some mould. The spa pool chlorine could be smelt from some distance.. too much chlorine. Its meant to be a secure facility however the external security gate was frequently chocked open. The carpets did not appear to have been vacuumed for some time; there were cobwebs on the TV cabinet wheels. The bath towels were a bit tired and in need of replacement

This hotel was a real find. Even though the apartment wasn't huge, it was still spacious and it just gave us so much more room than a standard hotel would and having such a large balcony was brillant. Close to the beach, shops and restaurants and fortunately far enough away from the madness of Gold Coast centre. Terry and Trisha were fantastic hosts and so helpful with everything and really friendly. The spa, pool and sauna were fantastic and next time we go back we will make use of the BBQ and outdoor seating area. Honestly we were so impressed. We aren't big budget travellers but we couldn't see how a five star hotel could beat this, unless you're in for stuffy service and overpriced mini bars! The only regret we had was that we were only there for two nights. So appreciative, it was a great experience and reminded me as to why I love visiting Qld.
