The hotel is in a quiet location, but only minutes walk to the old town and the sea. The pool was a great feature where you can relax, order a drink, read a book, with a quiet surrounding. The floor of the room wasn’t that clean and my room was right on the street so you could hear traffic noise, and the cleaners started early so don't expect a quiet sleep in. But the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. You can choose to sit out in the garden and the choices for breakfast, while not extensive, were ample and tasty. Overall, a quiet and pleasant stay in Alghero.

Hotel Domomea was an alright stay. The breakfast buffet was good, nice food. There is a very small pool if you need to cool down. I also thought there was going to be a hot tub, but it is just a cold tub with jets. The room itself was alright. The bathroom shower didn't have a closed door, just a curtain, so the bathroom floor would get flooded after having a shower. The hotel is just in the city part of Alghero with not much views or interesting things to see. However, there is a really nice pizza restaurant where locals go nearby. Parking costs extra money if you are renting a car.

Absolutely lovely hotel from the moment we entered. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very good selection and of a good quality. Room was very clean and of a good size. Would definitely return again when next in Alghero.

Very friendly and most helpful staff. Good location and in the centre for the old town, local shopping and beach in Alghero. The town of 40,000 is still relatively unspoilt by tourists as was the case during our stay in May.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The staff were very professional and exceptionally helpful. We had breakfast every morning and it provided a nice variety of choices. The woman in charge of the breakfast area was very engaging and recommended some wonderful places to visit during our stay. This was my first time in Alghero and I would certainly return and stay here again.

Check in was easy and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and had double sinks. The bed was firm and the pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good and there was a nice variety including cereals, eggs, bacon, cheese, meats and sweets. There was a nice juice selection and the coffee was good too. The hotel is about half a mile from the old town. It's an easy walk there and also to the beach.

The bad: This is a four star hotel in name only. The facilities are mediocre, the bed was uncomfortable, the "in-room minibar" contained nothing more than four bottles of water, and the rooftop pool was both cold and covered in filth from birds. The good: Solid location, friendly staff, clean.

The hotel is located within a 10 minutes walk to old town of Alghero. The pool is relatively small but still good enough to serve a purpose of having a swim and\or relax in a jacuzzi. The rooms are well-sized with a large bathroom - including quite handy double sink facilities. The breakfast was good and it had a range of choices although it would benefit if this varied on a daly basis. The customer service is truly exceptional, measured and genuine. We were delighted with the help recieved from Gian Paulo in particular wherever we needed something or asked for an advise. Nothing was too much for him and he went an extra mile to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Great location - just a short walk from the city centre. Our room and bathroom was very large, clean, and comfortable. Lovely complimentary toiletries too. The breakfast provided was exceptional - a variety of cheeses, meats, eggs, and pastries. It was too cold to use the pool, but the rooftop patio was a lovely place to hang out and unwind. And the front desk staff were so helpful in providing directions to places, and making reservations as needed, which was really appreciated! I would stay here again if I get back to Alghero, which I hope happens soon!

Very clean spacious room with everything you would expect. Very friendly helpful staff. 10 minute walk from the beach and the town. Pool could have been cleaner. Don’t Pre book a taxi in the UK for transfers. We paid £53 up front for transfer there, on the way back we paid €25. A lovely break.

We stayed at Hotel Domomea on a 4 day visit in Alghero. The standard was good with a spacious room, quiet, and nice bathroom facilities. The only minor complaint was that the mattress was a bit to hard for our tastes, but nothing major. The hotel was situated in a quiet area, about 7-10 minutes walk from old town, and also had a good parking lot for our rental car (we reserved a spot ahead of time). I especially would like to praise the friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. They made us feel welcome from the first moment we arrived. Overall a nice hotel for our visit in Alghero.

There are lots of reasons to stay here.The top three are the fully cooked breakfast, the pool area and the location.We found the staff at reception to be very helpful;the cleaning staff were fastidious and the room was large and comfortable. I would stay here again.full marks

Very good hotel, especially for a couple. 15 minutes walk maximum from the old town in a quiet residential area. Good continental breakfast with added hot bacon and eggs. Room not huge but in very good condition and comfortable. Excellent shower. Nice staff. Plenty of free parking (in May at least) within a couple of minutes walk. Would stay again without hesitation.

We arrived earlier than expected and were delighted to be told that our room was ready. The receptionist was charming. Our room was clean , the bathroom was well appointed and the bed surperbly comfortable. The old town was great with lots of choice of places to eat. Thoughly enjoyable stay !! Cannot wait to return
