Maison Chablis is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of luxurious Cape winelands, Franschhoek. My stay here was wonderful. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. It made my visit to this town really enjoyable. I would definitely book here again.

We had the friendliest check in and check out process. Our room was large and clean. We had the pool all to ourselves. The breakfast had many options and our eggs were tasty. The guest house is in walking distance to everything.

Stayed at this delightful guesthouse many times. It is always a joy. The owner, James, is so welcoming and accomodating. The rooms are traditional, spotless and have everything you need. I love the garden and pool areas is tranquil and relaxing after a hard days wine tour. The location is perfect. Quite street just off the main town road with some fantastic restaurants on your doorstep. Everytime i stay, i wish i had booked for longer. Excellence value too.

Lovely Place with lovely host. Really close to everything, 2 min to the Centre. Perfect place to just relax in the pool-area. Love the breakfast!!

James, the owner, is incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. He is passionate about his customers and their well-being. Maison Chablis is a short walk from the townsite of Franschhoek where restaurants and art galleries abound. We walked everywhere even in the evenings without any issues. The breakfast at Maison Chablis was abundant and our room was large with a comfortable king bed. There are not fitness facilities but it is a boutique hotel so none were expected. We would highly recommend Maison Chablis for anyone wanting to stay in Franschhoek.

We had a quick overnight stay but wish we could have stayed longer. It was a short 2 block walk into the center of town which hosts lots of cute shops and restaurants. We did not have time to use the pool but it looked inviting. Breakfast had several hot and cold options. The host had many good suggestions for winery's and shops to visit. Our room was clean and comfortable, well appointed.

James is a fantastic host, who seems to love that we does! The smile on his face says it all. The swimming pool was lovely. The details in the rooms, like rusks for morning coffee, and the the breakfast, like the lovely fresh fruit salad, make this a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

We only had one night but wish we had booked more. You can walk to restaurants and shops from Maison Chablis. You need to book the top restaurants before your trip as they are booked weeks in advance. We ate at 'French Connection', booking on the day; food was good. Franschook feels very safe. Maison Chablis has secure parking. Breakfast is continental and or full English. The room was very comfortable and catered for all our needs. The pool is lovely and lots of the rooms have their own small garden looking onto the communal area. The owner is very knowledgeable of the area and the Wine tastings. He was very helpful and friendly. He has a dog Simba who we adored, a small Jack Russell, very friendly and not at all yappy. Would love to return to both Maison Chablis and Franschook if we come back to South Africa.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Maison Chablis! Charming room and grounds- absolutely WONDERFUL breakfasts with a wide selection of choices! Franschoek restaurants and shops are just around the corner, so if you book wine tours, you can manage quite well without a car. Our guide, Coleen (highly recommended) from Tsiba Tsiba wine tours picked us up in Cape Town and delivered us to Maison Chablis the first evening after a lovely day of touring the wine estates in the area. We ate dinner in town at a great restaurant which was within easy walking distance and recommended by the inn. Electrical adapters were provided and an umbrella was even offered when it looked as though it might sprinkle one day. We simply couldn't have asked for greater hospitality and care! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maison Chablis!

Personal service is the order of the day at this small BnB in Franschhoek. The owner is very welcoming and happy to arrange restaurant bookings, taxi service, recommend places to visit etc. Other staff were helpful too.
It is about one block from the main street in Franschhoek, where there are many good restaurants to choose from.
The rooms are of a good size - we have stayed in two different rooms here; one had a large bathroom, the other had a smaller bathroom but larger lounge area.
