Very family friendly but, as expected during high season, there were delays in getting services such as suitcases to our rooms and re-fill to body cream, shampoo etc. The bathtub seal was broken but, it was a nice hotell in a historical building.

Good, everything was fine. They need a little bit more care on the breakfast, it seemed a bit all over the place.

Good morning, Andreea! Here's a review based on your request:
I had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental Marseille. The facilities are absolutely amazing, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and made check-in quick and seamless. I also loved the little details, especially the cosmetic products, which smelled heavenly and added an extra touch of indulgence to my stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Marseille.

This is my 4th trip to Marseille and my favorite hotel by far.
Very nice staff; the valet and bellmen are absolute superstars!

Great location! Very walkable area with many shops and restaurants. Close to museums and historic places. The room was large and clean with a nice view. The breakfast buffet was overly generous. I can’t imagine anything else to eat!

Wonderful hotel with great location

Great location. Well maintained property. Excellent staff and service. Extremely comfortable beds. Unfortunately, on previous trips to Marseille, we opted for hotels located directly on the port instead of the Intercontinental. We now know that was a mistake and will always try to stay at the Intercontinental. While it is not directly on the port, it is superior to all the properties that are in terms of service, staff, and quality.

Overpriced
I felt like I was staying at a Holiday Inn.
In the area, this appears to be the safest hotel
Nice view of a church from the terrace
I chose this hotel because parking in Marseille is limited.
Parking: $40 per night. Valet guys were really nice and spoke English very well
Check in and check out: Fast and courteous service
Halls leading to the rooms: No AC
Room: same set up as Holiday Inn
Pool: I believe I was told I had to pay to use it. I did not use it
Breakfast: You won’t starve. Bacon was burnt
I will not stay in this hotel again.
This hotel is a short walk from the bay.

Fabulous hotel, with a professional and friendly demeanour. Probably the quietest hotel I have ever used. Lovely terrace for breakfast, drinks and evening meals. A truly 5 star experience.

Wonderful hotel in a historic 18th century building with beautiful views of the city.

The hotel was very well situated, and the views from the room as well as the outside dining area was beautiful. Standing by the poured and looking back at the hotel it is equally beautiful. There is No signing area or swimming pool. There is an indoor lap pool only. The room was very nice, which included a large balcony with a beautiful view. However, the air conditioner was not strong enough to cool the room. We spoke several times to the front desk and several times people were sent to the room, but there seem to be no solution.the bathroom area was small and there was little privacy. The breakfast buffet was more typically suited to a budget type hotel. The servers in the bar and food area outside were extremely slow and not interested in providing a high-quality service. I chose this hotel because it was in La Panier area - an area I was interested in exploring. However, if I return to Marci, I will not be staying here. Previously, I stayed in a hotel on the opposite side of the old port, which was very well situated and very well run with a beautiful breakfast on the roof and a pool that offered sun lounges.

This is a beautiful, centrally located hotel in a historic building. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in Marseille. Because of the size and age of the building, the air conditioning wasn’t quite as cold as I would’ve like but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. Get a room with a balcony if you can - it’s worth it!

This exceptional hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! The dedication to customer satisfaction shines through in every aspect. The staff were warm and welcoming, the property was immaculately clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The spacious soaking tub and delectable food served on the stunning terrace were the icing on the cake. Our stay here was the highlight of our five-week European adventure, and we would not hesitate to return. A truly outstanding experience!"

We have been traveling Spain, the Catalon region, and the French Rivieria. We have stayed at a variety of hotels on this stay, and I’ve stayed at many in my lifetime (including Intercontinentals). This hotel was the worst on this trip and the worst 5 star hotel I think I’ve ever stayed at before. Firstly, the staff is horrible. Unfriendly, unhelpful, and downright rude at times. As as an example, we waited so long for a taxi (over 30 minutes checking in every 5 minutes while others got taxis), that eventually we ordered an Uber. The concierge had the nerve to tell me that Ubers weren’t allowed! I had my 2 young daughters (8 & 5) with me waiting. The food is terrible. We ordered room service one night and got one children’s burger with just cheese on a bun (no burger) and one over cooked burger. My runny chicken salad sandwich was atrocious. They provided 1 condiment for all of us. The dinner at the bar on the terrace was no better. We had a very sub-par pizza for the kids and unripe tomatoes served with bland burrata cheese and a scoop of pesto. When we wanted anything, we looked back to see an empty restaurant filled with dozens of servers conversing but none checking on us. My daughters needed water, but they never had a chance to ask.
The rooms are nice enough, but the pillows are way too soft and the furnishings do not scream 5 stars. There are stains on the carpets and our bathtub was dirty. I would not recommend nor stay there again.

My room was not cleaned at 4 pm. Trash remained in the room. Laundry was delivered late.

Mostly all as expected for a hotel of this rating/price. Compared to previous visits to Marseille we really appreciated the ease of 24hr valet parking for euro 39 at this hotel. Breakfast was chaotic and did not reflect the hotel’s rating.
