The most beautiful property, in a wonderful location, excellent facilities, the most incredible spa and food is divine. We felt well looked after by the staff who were so kind. our room was gorgeous. The local area is wonderful and the free pass to use the sky lift was very helpful. We only wish that we could've stayed for longer.

Overall very happy to have stayed at this hotel. Started a little strange. Hotels.com had our reservation but it was cancelled at the hotel. Took 1 hour to sort out and the mistake were done by the hotel and they apologized to us.
Very nice hotel. 2 nights with breakfast and dinner.
Rooms very comfortable and very nice. Good view over the mountains. Very quite room and didn’t hear the neighbours.
Dinner was a 5 course menu. Some served and some from buffet. Would recommend this any time.
Breakfast had it ALL.
The City is small but nice and some shopping can be done.
Rented a E-bike at the hotel and I would recommend it.
Would love to stay at this hotel again.

The entire experience is perfect - service is excellent, meal at the restaurant is excellent, the room is at perfect condition. If I am allowed to, I will give this hotel a 12 out of 10. I hope they wont charge a higher price when I visit it next time.

This is a lovely, modern hotel near the centre of Schladming with excellent access to the Planai lift and ski school/rentals at the bottom of the mountain.
The reception area, restaurants and rooms have been done in a beautiful style with wood and stone lending to a rustic ski lodge feel, whilst having the amenities of a modern hotel. The swimming pool/spa area is large and well-equipped and offers the perfect remedy after a day on the slopes. Food was excellent, both for breakfast and in the bar. The breakfast buffet offered all the continental style or hot options you could imagine (including a chef who cooked eggs/omelettes whilst you waited) and quality was very good. There is a storage room available with lockers and heaters to store your skis and other winter sports equipment which is a great addition.
My only criticisms would be the lack of food available anywhere in the hotel (including room service) or nearby after 9pm. In the room, soap and shampoo were dispensed from the same bottle attached to the wall by the shower/basin which had the feeling of a budget hotel, not the 4*+ this hotel would otherwise be.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I stayed at The Falkensteiner Hotel with my husband and two teenaged daughters for five nights in February 2018. Overall the hotel was fabulous and we loved every minute of our time there. We stayed in a Junior suite and this was a little small for the four of us; the sofabed was not the most comfortable and with an extra bed also we have very little room to move around. The bathroom design is such that our teenagers felt they had no privacy (there is a separate loo but otherwise the design is pretty open)That said - everything else was perfect. The staff are amazingly attentive in a understated manner. The SPA is wonderful - the pools are warm and seem to be chemical free. My family used the extensive gym everyday. The food was out-of-this-world and the location was just a 10 minute walk from the ski station.I would highly recommend this hotel is you want good food, great staff, an excellent gym and beautiful surroundings.

We had a great stay at the Falkensteiner Hotel. Great location looking up at the ski slopes, the rooms were beautifully decorated and well provisioned and the design touches throughout the hotel were a perfect mix of contemporary and traditional Austrian. The breakfast selection was fantastic and dinner in the restaurant was a beautiful experience with great service from Franz. The swimming pool, sauna and spa facilities were also outstanding - especially the outdoor pool and the ice plunge pool. It’s a long way from Sydney but we’d love to return - one of our favourite hotel stays of all time. Thanks Falkensteiner team!

My family of 5 spent a week in February at Falkensteiner Schladming Hotel. We could hardly have had a better vacation. The hotel is in very good condition, fairly new and well situated, a 5 minute walk to the Planai gondola. The hotel also has storage facilities for ski equipment and a handy shuttle bus if you don't want to walk in ski boots to the gondola. Hotel staff were consistently helpful and friendly, breakfast buffet was excellent and dinners were washed down with some very good Austrian wines. Nice pool area and spa. No real negatives except that the slopes in Schladming were quite busy - many others took advantage of the good ski conditions that week.
