This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The service was friendly and excellent. The property itself was in a very secure area and the neighborhood was perfect for exploring the local restaurants and cuisine. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was excellent. I was warmly greeted by Erica, the next day Veronica helped arranged a car for me to get to museums since Ubers weren't available due to the holiday, and Laus made one of the most excellent dinner suggestions. He really did a great job with dining information in the area. Breakfast folks were also great.
This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent neighborhood, steps from Neruda's house. A little like benign a Wes Anderson movie. Complimentary wine in the evenings was appreciated.

We had an excellent stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Gave us wonderful suggestions for dinner and helped us with transportation. Happy Hour every night was a wonderful event.

Lautaro at the front desk went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. He is a great employee! The hotel is near many bars and restaurants in the heart of the Bellavista neighborhood. I stayed for six night and was very satisfied.

Great stay at Castillo Rojo. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, very nice and confortable rooms, lot of good places around to eat, close to a metro station. Just take into account that there is no elevator, it's an old historic house. We found the neighborhood safe nice.

The staff are so accommodating, knowledgeable and made our time in Santiago a great experience. The rooms were also awesome with deep history! Thanks to the staff, cheers from Ryan and Genecar

Such a unique property. It's like you stepped back in time to a1920s mansion. The area cannot be beat with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff was so kind and helpful.

The location is ideal. You can walk up San Cristobal Hill or take the funicular. You can reach downtown after a nice stroll through the park. The metro stop is also close. Just don't pay too much for coffee and meals at Patio Bellavista! Castillo Rojo staff are phenomenal!

It has a great location to explore the city.
Staff have been amiable, knowledgeable, and clear about directions and support in all sorts of things we need as a big family group traveling together.
We will highly recommend it!
Lautaro at the front desk was extremely great to us.
We are traveling with a baby, and I would’ve checked the stairs (no elevator) situation, especially for family members with mobility problems. But once here, we didn't change our booking; we are extending our stay.

Wonderful historic boutique hotel with friendly, helpful staff and good breakfast. Good neighborhood restaurants. Private hotel courtyard off the street was a nice space to relax. If you enjoy walking, the location works for all major sites and is a short Uber ride otherwise.

Excellent hotel! walkable distance to many restaurants and bars, St Cristobal Funicular, Pablo Neruda's house/museum and many more. The room was big and clean, breakfast was very good, and the staff were amazing, they helped us to organize a shuttle from/to the Airport, tour to Valparaiso/ Vina del Mar and I'm sure they would help with everything you'd need. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne which was a very nice surprise!! It's a unique place with character which we loved a lot!

We travelled to Chile for three weeks and made this hotel our home base between flights to Rapa Nui and Puerto Natales. It exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. From the front desk employees to the breakfast staff to their housekeeping team. The front desk employees spoke English and always answered our questions about anything we needed. I really can’t say enough about them, they were so great. I only initially booked our first couple of days before Rapa Nui there but rebooked after realizing how excellent it was. Very beautiful and unique. Breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to everywhere important in/near Bella Vista neighborhood. We walked to Plaza De Armas, Santa Lucia Hill, San Cristobal Hill, and the museums. There are also plenty of fantastic restaurants, shops, and clubs within walking distance. They were able to store some of our belongings between trips and we felt very safe and secure there.

There are no words to describe how good this hotel is. It has the most amazing staff we have ever had at any hotel in our entire lives. The service is incredible. The hotel is clean and our room was fantastic. If I am ever in this city again I will always stay here, great location, great rooms, superior staff. There is NOTHING I would change about this place. I miss this place and especially their staff.

A wonderful old house .
Beautifully kept up and lovely old furnishings .
Also, everything worked well .
The only thing to be aware of is that there is no elevator and there are lots of steps .
We were lucky as someone was there to take our suitcases upstairs .
Also , there was a lovely surprise as there was a bottle of wine and some condiments waiting for us in our room-which I had forgot about . This worked out really well as we were too tired to go out at first so this was all we needed .
Also , they have a lovely breakfast there .
And it is right in the best part of Santiago as we could just walk a few blocks to the San Cristobal funicular .
My husband loved this place !!
All in all , a lovely place !

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was incredible and they even left us a gift in our room since we were celebrating! The staff really went above and beyond for us, even researching where we could buy something to transport art home. Beautiful property and will absolutely be back. Thank you!

Very friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel, inside and outside, looks like one of those historical mansions that you have to pay a fee to visit
Only issue I had was the hotel does not have any elevator. I had to walk up the stairs and my room was at the top. Fortunately, the you man who worked there helped me take luggage up.

Quaint and fun area with lots of restaurants and bars. Right next to Cerro San Cristóbal - walking, running, and great views from top of the park. 15 minute walk to the historic centre, Lastarria neighbourhoods. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff super friendly.

We loved this location - close to Cerro San Cristobal, good restaurants, and a happening, though pretty touristy, nightlife. It's in a very walkable area. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the server who takes care of breakfast. The concierge gave us great suggestions for dinners and things to see. The rooms are nice, even without the upgrade, and the wine/coffee lounge is a nice, comfy spot to hang out.

We had a great experience at Castillo Rojo! They have a complimentary wine hour where a few guests come and sit together in the beautifully decorated purple lounge and all meet and discuss tips for travelling locally! Definitely a highlight of the trip meeting fellow travellers. Safe to walk around the area and easy to get Ubers wherever else you need to go! The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend bringing ear plugs as due to the nature of the older property you can hear people walking around/getting home in the middle of the night. Breakfast was included and so nice out in the courtyard! Everyone who works there was so friendly and nice. Would recommend!!!

The Castillo Rojo is a great place to stay, lots of historical personality and character. But what most stands out is how wonderful they were when I had travel problems with a flight cancellation. I arrived a day late and they were very accommodating and helpful. They even had a 1/2 bottle of comp Champagne in the room to welcome me and cheer my success in eventually making it to Santiago! I love this hotel and will definitely stay there again. Muchos Gracias!

We love Castillo Rojo!! It is a beautiful hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing - impossible for them to be more helpful. They arranged tours, taxis and suggested restaurants and always followed up with us to see how everything. Barbara and Erica were particularly helpful . It felt like we were with family.
The Hotel itself is very beautiful. The lounge was very comfortable and the wine hour was a wonderful touch to meet fellow guests and exchange travel stories. The bed was the most comfortable ever and the sheets were so crisp and pristine - we slept like a dream each night!!
We stayed 8 days and have taken a w day side trip, but will return for 2 additional nights before heading home from our travels - very much looking forward to our return!!

It was an amazing experience to stay on this landmark of Santiago, an old mansion transformed in a boutique hotel. Everything was perfect. The airport to hotel roundtrip, the personnel, the hotel's interiors, the room, the welcome champaign, PLUS the complementary wine test 😉. A real gem recommended to everybody who wants to be on the heart of Bellavista neaberhood.

This quirky historical hotel has it all. We loved our stay, amazing room with balcony and city view at 4th floor. Surrounding area has a ton of dining and bar choices and you can walk to Patio Bellavista. The staff was amazing and helped in anyway they could and schlepped our luggage up to 4th floor as they do not have elevator because of historic building. Linens on bed are buttery soft and the lounge area was beautifully as was the patio area and nightly wine at 5 is a great way to meet other guests and share your day.

What a great place in the middle of a great area of town! The rooms are comfortable, service is impeccable.
Ample parking lot behind the building is another advantage of this hotel.

Beautiful designed and decorated hotel with excellent staffs and nice with good breakfast and happy hours each day

This is a beautiful hotel well located in Santiago. Problem is the service. The hotel has no greeter and the people at the desk are only moderately helpful. I had a tiny room on the fourth floor and no elevator and not everyone can walk the steps. Recommendations from staff were minimal. Upgrade the service this will be a great place.

This hotel was excellent in almost every way, Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, Room was amazing, Bed was super comfy. Hotel itself was beautiful and an excellent location close to public transportation and major attractions. I would not down a star for this but but the breakfast buffet was kind of weird and disjointed. No plates or coffee cups. A jar of butter but no knife. You have to ask for everything that is then provided with good cheer.

The hotel has a very nice charm to it. Also, we liked the location of the hotel. It was close to all of the sites that we wanted to see.

Great hotel at a great location. Breakfast was super good. Friendly staff. It's a 100 y/o house converted to a boutique hotel. It preserves the charm and feel of the original. Lots od stairs so just watch out if unable to do stairs.
